Hi, I use an stm32f429 discovery board to examine some exercises.
When I enter debug mode, SWV error message appears.
That message appears today, not until yesterday, but I didn't change any settings.
error message
Failed to enable SWV.
SWV will be disabled for this debug session.
Tell me how to solve it, please...

Same here.
Yesterday all was still fine, then I put my laptop in sleep mode over night and logged in this morning like every day. Yesterday the SWV communitaction was still possible, today this error message. Already restarted CubeIDE, un/replugged the ST-Link programmer. Programming and debugging is still possible, but not the tracing functionality...
@MPark.5: Could you already find a solution for this?
Thanks a lot.

FWI, I have this problem today. No reason, nothing has changed. Suddenly "Failed to enable SWV".
This forum post is the only google hit I got.
Will report back if I solve it.

Restart your computer and then run the application again.

I did that, but still, I am getting that error.

Hi
I am also getting this error:
The project compiles fine.
I would assume, although I am probably incorrect, that symbols are retrieved from the map file which is being generated and is not locked or otherwise inaccessible.
I tried restarting the IDE and my computer but the problem remains.
This version of CubeIDE:
Version: 1.16.1
Build: 22882_20240916_0822 (UTC)
seems to have a few issues. This error and the mis-framing of Live Expressions structures hasn't occurred in previous versions of the IDE, (in the thousands of hours of my experience of course.)
See my post:
Kind Regards
Rob
