There's no single "best" - what's best depends on your application and its requirements.
You may want to start with finding a ready-made board which contains a display and a similar mcu to yours, and test its capabilities.

i would use some TFT with EVE controller + RAM onboard;
only need SPI connection to display - easy to do.
