I read that there will be a new much faster chip in the first half next year. What's the name of the chip(s) and is there more info about it available?

What are your needs/requirements? There's always going to be newer/faster stuff coming down the pike.

In the realm of, Ford's going to come out with a new car next year, are you going to get it?

ARM no doubt has an army of engineers working on ''new stuff'', customers like ST are no doubt working with them where they share common interests, and providing fab technology that enables them.

I remember reading about 400-600 MHz speed, so this may well be it.
