I'm attempting to generate project code for the STEVAL-SPIN3202.
ST32CubeMX doesn't have an option for the
STEVAL-SPIN3202 so I tried using the ST Motor Control Workbench and it gives an error 'STSPIN mcu not supported in the FW for SDK5'.
Meanwhile, I'm using the example project provided in 'STSW-SPIN3202'.
Is there an add-on for ST32CubeMX to generate code for the
STEVAL-SPIN3202?
Should the ST Motor Control Workbench generate code for the
STEVAL-SPIN3202?
Is the STEVAL-SPIN3202 and older product and maybe I'd find better support for a newer variant?

Since the
STEVAL-SPIN3202 isn't supported by the current STMCWB 5.0, I abandoned it and switched to a board combination that is supported: a NUCLEO-F302R8 and X-NUCLEO-IHM08M1 motor controller board.

So far, I have been completely disgusted with how great the advertising makes the STSPIN32F0 and STSPIN320A sound as well as the STEVAL-PIN3202, but how much a disaster the actual available support examples are. The description says it fully supports the STSW-TM32100 FOC software development kit, but trying to use it with that sdk has only lead to complete frustration and a substantial reduction in desire to use ST products of any kind. Everything I try ends up as a waste of time and money that does not work right. I really used to have a much higher opinion of ST, but my faith is shrinking with each disappointment.

Good point but I still got the
error '
STSPIN mcu not supported in the FW for SDK5'. I'll try opening that SPIN3201 project and try it with the SPIN3202. I'll post a question asking what the difference is between a 3201 and 3202.
BTW, your post with the PDF - were you trying to say RTFM? I'm not sure what your point was. I already had, and read, that PDF but it didn't really help with the STMCWB. I wasn't sure if you were suggesting that I skip the software tools and just write code from scratch - which certainly is another valid way of approaching the problem.

You're confirming my suspicions that the SPIN stuff is being sidelined. I figured if that was really true that there'd be more chatter on the internet - or a roadmap. I was puzzled by the silence and lack of response. So far, I'm making much more progress with the
NUCLEO-F302R8 and X-NUCLEO-IHM08M1 and FOC combination. I'm writing code on the PC side to talk to the FW using the motor-control protocol. Now why isn't that already available somewhere.

STEVAL-SPIN3202,
STEVAL-SPIN3201 will be back in the 5.1 release scheduled for end of May.
As the SPIN32F0 is based on a STM32F03 MCU, you can already generate the code with the 5.0.3 release but it is not so straightforward.
