How do I choose a suitable STM32 series to control my BLDC motor? And what Advantages do they have?

Hi

Sensorless BLDC can't run very well at low speed,I would like to know which STM32 series or which ST motor control workbench version can support HFI,and if support, can it run sensorless bldc motor well at low speed?Or none of them can support HFI,and all bad at low speed,

Thanks very much,

Dear @FZhen.3

As mentioned in this post https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000wxx0OSAQ/i-need-add-hfi-to-my-software and others, HFI is no longer available in STM32 MC-SDK from version 5.X for public solutions.

The HFI feature is obsolete because almost few motor is able to support it.

And since we have no way to test this feature, we cannot support it.

Dear @Laurent Ca...

Thanks for your reply,

Since HFI is no longer available, Then all STM32 series should have the same start up method,

So STM32F0 series to STM32H7 series should have the same start up effect, and run bad at low speed?

If this is true,Then I don't have to choose those high performance STM32 series ,STM32F0 would do the same job, right?
