Which MCU in STM32 family is the best selection for using SAR 16-bit ADC related project

RongShengWang

Questions:

1. How many STM32 families offer SAR 16-bit ADCs?

2. Which MCU in STM32 family is the best choice for using SAR 16-bit ADC related project with the lowest cost?

Thanks

Hi, Thanks

Assume they have the same performance on their SAR 16-bit ADC.

1, Which part of the STM32H7 family costs least?

2. What is the Evaluation Board part number?

3. Where I can find the example project source files related to the SAR 16-bit ADC?

4. Does Cubemax and its IDE support this part?

5. Are there any references (Discussion / example projects related to the SAR 16-bit ADC) you can offer?

Thanks.

Rong

1) I really don't have the price in mind but you can go to the stm32MCUfinder and filter, search for those MCUs and select the price for the 10K unit. You can have it in order (increasing or decreasing).

2) You will find using the STM32 MCU finder all evaluation boards (if available) for each of those  MCUs.

3) All the examples that we offer are available here on the STM32CUBEH7. All you have to do is to search for the evaluation board that you will use and select it to find all available examples.

4) Sure those parts are supported by all our Tools (CubeMX, Cube Programmer, CubeIDE,...).

5) The same answer for question 3.

For any new questions, you are always welcome to open new threads on the community. And i've already recomanded you an application note AN5354 in my first comment.

Best Regards.

Dear @RongShengWang ,

my recommendation for this part : H7B0RB in LQFP64 package .

 https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32h7b0rb.html#sample-buy

There is no Specific Board for it  but is best match to your requirements.

Ciao

Thanks Ciao.

Is there any applicable Evaluation Board for us to try first?

Please give us the part number if you can.

I assume we can use Cubemax and its IDE. Correct?

Are there any useful design information link or/and other useful information links you can offer?

Thanks,

Rong

Already answred that question in a previous comment. You need to use ST MCU finder tool:

The part suggested by @STOne-32  is the STM32H7B0RBT. It is supported by Cube Tools. But as he said there is not any board for this MCU.

Best Regards.

Is there any other STM32H7 boards with the same SAR ADC so that we can check out the SAR ADC?

In another words, we need to debug our code in any other STM32H7 boards which we can use for STM32H7B0RBT later.

Otherwise we can even start our work.

Thanks

Many choices for the board:

Eval and Discovery:

Nucleo board (cheaper):

You can use CubeMx and CubeIDE.

Yes you can. If you will use an STM32H723/33 for your project.

Best Regards.
