We research a ST8500 for using in custom solutions.
Having custom PCB we try to donload PE images: "ST8500_G3_v17a1a45a_6.3.4.img" or "ST8500_G3_v1340459E_4.4.3.img" using API from STSW-ST8500GH-2 and STSW-ST8500G3.
Images download by host UART interface, and after donload and call command "IMG_Start" - the ST8500 does not send confirmation message (HIF_HI_HWRESET_CNF).
But if we download "ST8500_FW_Factory.img" from "SmartGrid LabTool 4.8.3" - the ST8500 send to host that confirmation message.
Our questions:
Why does this happen?
Are there any special features of the listed firmwares? Maybe they are designed for evulation kits (EVALKITST8500-1 and EVLKST8500GH-2), but we have a clean chip?
Maybe we need some special firmware?
