NUCLEO-F446RE with steval-mic003v1: direct connection

Hello guys, I would like to know if it is possible to directly connect  NUCLEO-F446RE board with  steval-mic003v1 mic array without any expansion board. Would love to know your feedback and much appreciated.

The single answer to my question for other people who might be wondering the same thing in the future is "Yes". You can play around with different peripherals.

Check schematics of the two boards.

Look at the datasheets of the STM32F446RE and IMP34DT05; check if signal levels are compatible.

 

The STEVAL-MIC003V1 Product Page says it's intended for use with X-NUCLEO-CCA02M1 - so also check-out the documentation (including schematics) for that to see what it's providing...

 

There's also X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 ...

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.
A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
