Can a Nucleo-G474RE program an external target via CN4?

Using CN4, there are instructions for using an external debug probe to program the on-board STM32G474RE MCU. This seems strange given the fact that there's an embedded ST-LINK/V3, but I've made it work. What I would really like to do is use the embedded ST-LINK/V3 to program an external target via CN4. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way to disconnect the on-board STM32G474RE from the SWD bus.

Am I overlooking something obvious? Older Nucleo boards had the option of cutting the ST-LINK part of the board off, but the Nucleo-G474RE on my desk doesn't seem to have that option either.

Thanks,

TG

Ouch. It's so strange that they changed CN4 to the 10-pin connector just so you could program the internal STM32G474 with an external debug probe when the board already comes with a perfectly good ST-LINK/V3 to program it with. Weird.

by reading mb1367-g474re-c04_schematic.pdf I think we CAN. but we have to remove these jumper or resistors: sb40 sb41 sb15 sb9 and jp3, if you're gonna use the embedded COM port remove sb17 sb23 as well. I'm gonna test it sometime and update later
