Dear All,
I am using MASTERGAN1 for DC-AC conversion. The Input is 400VDC. The output filter inuctor is 220uH. The norminal output current is 0.1A (Yes, very small).
As suggested in the datasheet of MASTERGAN1, the minimum deadtime is 5ns. Firstly, 15ns deadtime was applied. However, it can be inferred that shootthrough occurs because the loss is very high and the output voltage is distorted. Therefore, I increase the deadtime and finally find that 50ns works fine for my circuit.
I am wondering why the required deadtime in practice is much higher than that suggested in the datasheet. Is it possible to reduce the deadtime without shootthrough?
