As you can read in the board documentation (data brief and user manuals), you can find a firmware example in the STM32 Motor Control SDK (X-CUBE-MCSDK-Y).

The firmware example included in the STM32 MC uses position feedback from Hall effect sensors, with debugging and programming capability available through the SWD interface and the direct firmware update feature.

The STEVAL-PTOOL1V1 is supported by Rev Y 5.5.2 and following.
