Is is possible to add STO functionality to the Powerstep01 by switching the VCC Line?

The idea is to switch the VCC Line with a FET to get STO (safe torque off) functionality. Is this possible or can this cause problems (cross current or similar)? In the attachment is an image of the Idea.

I suggest to add the FET between VS and VSREG.
In this way you remove the power of the gate drivers (VCC) and allow the device a more robust shutdown sequence thanks to the UVLO protection.

Okay thanks I'll try that but it'll take some time until we get the PCBs
