In application note AN4355, overcurrent detection page 18 and stall detection page 21, application note writes two equations
Equation 1: IOCDth
= VOCDth
 Rds(ON)
Equation 2: ISTALLth
= VSTALLth Rds(ON)Why current is equal to voltage times resistance?should be use divide sign IOCDth
= VOCDth
 Rds(ON)
How should I calculate overcurrent IOCDth
?for an instance, by default, IOCDth
is 281.25mV, and external MOSFET Rds(ON)
is 33m?, what is IOCDth equal to ?
Thank you in advance #ocd #l6480h #stall-detection-l64702015-04-27 12:49 AM
You are right, the formulas of the AN are wrong.
The actual relation betwee programmed threshold and current is IOCDth
= VOCDth
÷ Rds(ON)
The typo will be fixed in the next release of the AN. Thanks a lot for your feedback! Regadrs Enrico
