I am interested in building the design in the file below but rather than using the LM395 transistors, since they are difficult to acquire, I was wondering if I could substitute some VNP5N07s or similar transistors for the LM395s as a more modern substitute, but I was not sure if the input voltage would be sufficient for the VNP5N07s to retain their protection characteristics, since I could not seem to find this on clearly on the datasheet or application note. (unless that is what the Input Threshold Voltage refers to)Thank you!
