Hello,

I have stpc Atlas evaluation board . I want to install framebuffer

on linux kernel. I download the framebuffer device from

http://www.stmcu.com/devicedocs-Atlas-75.html .

What linux kernel version do I need ?

I have red hat linux kernel version 2.4.18, Can I use this version?

Linux drivers are more or less portable from one version of kernel to another. In most of case there is no modifications to be done and you just have to re-compile. In few cases, there is small adjusment to be done.

The best is you try and see if you get errors during the compilation.

As far as I know, in the 2.4.x series, no modifications have be done after the version 2.4.5 and you should be able to compile any 2.4.5 or later version with the same source code.
