Hi all,
I got a strange error after an Windows XP security update today: When trying to start STVP7 v2.03 Windows report that user32.dll use the same address HHCTRL.OCX and that STVP.exe is not allowed to start. ''Contact the manufacturer of the dll for assistance'' Yesterday STVP7 run ok. I have reinstalled STVP7 with no luck. Anyone clue what to do ? BR Tomas2007-04-05 03:03 AM
The problem doesn't come from STVP7 but from the windows update
Microsoft has fixed the problem: ==> Emmanuel.2007-04-05 05:17 AM
Hi Emmanuel,
Many thanks for your reply - but I have testet it. It's made for the English XPP version and a Swedish version doesn't accept this patch.... Microsoft has obviously created a big blunder here. Not just STVP7 hangs , also media players, gmail and many more problems are reported from users. Hopefully also users in Scandinavia will have supporting patches ''as time goes by''. Meanwhile I am badly stucked in the middle of a design. :( Thanks anyway for your concern ! BR Tomas2007-04-05 05:35 AM
Hi Emmanuel,
God news ! I have just got and tested the Swedish patch http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=sv&FamilyID=74ad4188-3131-429c-8fcb-f7b3b0fd3d86 ..and it correct the problem ! Happy Easter to everybody. BR Tomas
