Help to choice a compiler

Hello,

I would like to know which is the preferred compiler (IAR, Keil, Raisonnance, â€¦) for STR9 products? The best choice for me is the compiler which is used by ST and most part of developersâ€¦

If you want to try a gnu gcc solution, and expect to use ST products only, I deeply suggest Idealist IDE/Compiler from Anglia. It's free and...it works just ''out of the box''. I tried several gnu-gcc tools, only this one works when you have to work with floating point and printf (the other may work but not for a dummy like me!).

For the debug, I use a JtagKey, Eclipse, GDB and OpenOCD, but it is not painless to set up...
