yes it is. You can refer -for example- to the MotionSD standing vs sitting desk detection library in the X-CUBE-MEMS1 firmware package that natively runs on the IKS01A3 platform: it provides real-time information about the user working mode (sitting at the desk or standing desk position), and is mostly intended for wrist-worn devices.
There is also the MotionAR activity recognition library that can be used for your application.
