In the SPIRIT1 datasheet it says the SPIRIT1 can be used to provide a clock source for the MCU via a GPIO pin - such that the MCU does not need its own crystal oscillator. However as far as I can tell the default start up parameters for the SPIRIT1 do not output a clock signal to any of the GPIO pins. So how is the MCU supposed to start up if it is relying on the SPIRIT1 to provide an oscillator signal after a power up. How does this avoid having to have a separate MCU oscillator?
