The question is a bit unspecific because neither the type of barcodes is given nor what you want to do with them or have tried yourself.
To answer the question in general first: yes, you can read barcodes, for which you actually only need a barcode reader. But now more information is missing: should a ready-made reader be used or should one be developed? Where should the data go, i.e. who processes it, how should it be transferred from the reader to the evaluation system, etc. etc.?
