Teseo-LIV3 without antenna?

KMetz.1

Hi..

I have soldered a Teseo-LIV3 on a PCB with acces to power and RX/TX and nothing more. I read the NMEA strings, but no satellite data is present.

Is it correct understood that Teseo-LIV3 can not operate without an external antenna?

If so.....what does "stand alone module" mean?

Regards

Kenneth

Hi

Any GNSS module on the market needs an antenna.

Please have a look to the HW manual online @ https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00399112-teseoliv3-gnss-module--hardware-manual-stmicroelectronics.pdf

'stand alone' means that IC inside needs just to be powered to be running (flash, TCXO, RTC-Xtal are already there)

Regards

 Francesco
