Hello all. Can you help me?According to the PM0269 I need to use sone API function for periodic advertising. Where is hci_le_set_periodic_advertising_data() finction? There is no hci_le_set_periodic_advertising_data() finction prototype in bluenrg_lp_api.h header file. I only saw the aci_gap_set_periodic_advertising_data() function prototype for use.Thank you for your attention.
My application is a BLE peripheral with no display and no keyboard. When idling, the device advertises once every 1-2.5 seconds. When the user presses the button on the device, it goes into "pairing mode" and starts advertising once every 80-100 ms.What I would like to do now is to prevent unauthorized central devices from connecting to my peripheral. When the unit is in idle, I want it to accept connections only from devices it recognizes. When it's in "pairing mode", I want it to accept connections from any device, then add devices which make a connection to the filter accept list.At the moment, when the peripheral is in "pairing mode", I initialize advertising like this:ret = aci_gap_set_discoverable(ADV_IND, Min_Inter, Max_Inter, CFG_BLE_ADDRESS_TYPE, NO_WHITE_LIST_USE, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0);When the peripheral is idle, I initialize advertising like this:ret = aci_gap_set_undirected_connectable(Min_Inter, Max_Inter, CFG_BLE_ADDRESS_TYPE, WHITE_LIST_FOR_ALL);If the peripher
Hi,I am using STM32WB with FreeRTOS and BLE. I noticed that BLE uses hw_timerserver.c, possibly for ending FAST Advertising BLE. At the same time, I want to use FreeRTOS with Tickless - Low power mode, which also uses the RTC in the vPortSuppressTicksAndSleep function, calling the timer in hw_timerserver.c.The problem is that I can't find the IRQHandler for the RTC timer. I don't see any in stm32wbxx_it.c. Additionally, my program ends up in the unexpected interrupt section, and it seems to be from the RTC Wakeup_IRQ_Handler. In hw_timerserver.c, there is a function void HW_TS_RTC_Wakeup_Handler(void), but even when the timer should be running, the program never jumps to this function.I am not sure if there is an error or if I am doing something wrong.
Hello ST Community, I wonder if the STM32WB55 supports MAC 802.15.4 Beacon Mode in the latest 15.4 stack? Best Regards
Hi,I am working on BLE with STM32W55RGV. I have loaded FUS+Full_BLE_stack into the M0+ core. In the M4 core, I have my own application, but I always get a HardFault when I call this function, as shown in the picture (SendCmd(uint16_t opcode, uint8_t plen, void *param)). It is basically first entry function to try to do anything with BLE. At that moment, opcode = 64535 and plen = 0. Could this be related to IPCC? I have enabled interrupts for both RX and TX, and I have also increased the BLE FreeRTOS stack to 1024.Alos I added breakpoint to APPE_SysUserEvtRx - to see if CPU2 is ready (was mentioned in STM video tutorial for HeartRate monitor), but the function is not called..I have no idea how to move forward. Thanks!
Hey,I'm working on custom BLE Central and Peripheral project to make connection and send some sensor data over BLE. For this I'm referring to BLE p2pServer and p2pClient along with p2pRouter example projects. I'm able to make a connection with the server, but immediately I get HCI_DISCONNECTION_COMPLETE_EVT_CODE with the error code for reason as 0x3E. Can anyone help me out with this.?Attaching the snapshot of the debug messages.
Hi St Team,We would like to test network communication using st developed gateway board come with P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2. Shall we get clarity on frequency band supported by LoRaWAN protocol like What are the frequency band supported by LoRaWAN protocol?
Hello,This is a continuation of questions raised in this thread. In the STM32WL5x microcontrollers, there is a Sub-GHz radio command called "Set_RfFrequency()". The arguments for this function are an Opcode, and RfFreq. However, you don't actually pass your desired RF frequency to this function. Instead, you need to multiply your desired frequency by 1.048576 and pass that value to the function. This is because Set_RfFrequency() takes the argument, multiplies it by 32e6 and divides it by 2^25.Setting aside how confusing it is to have a function called "Set_RfFrequency()" where you don't actually give it your desired frequency, can someone who understands PLLs explain how this larger number is used to properly set the RF-PLL?For example, if you want the RF-PLL to be at 868 MHz, you need to pass 910,163,968 to Set_RfFrequency(). How is this value used? Does the microcontroller count to 910,163,968 every second and that tells it how quickly to oscillate? How does that work? Thanks for any h
Hello, I have a problem running any project in STM32CubeIDE v1.7.0When I press 'Run' I usually get "Launching: Performing pre-launch check..." and it just hangs there.Sometimes it gets past that, and then I get the following errorError in final launch sequence: Failed to execute MI command: target remote localhost:61234Error message from debugger back end: localhost:61234: The system tried to join a drive to a directory on a joined drive.at org.eclipse.cdt.dsf.mi.service.command.AbstractMIControl$RxThread.processMIOutput(AbstractMIControl.java:1014) at org.eclipse.cdt.dsf.mi.service.command.AbstractMIControl$RxThread.run(AbstractMIControl.java:843)Console output:STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Hi there, We want to stream video at a reasonable quality (HD) using the STM32WL, we were thinking on implementing this feature using LoRa, but looks like Sub-GHZ system isn't no capable for transmitting video. What other methods can we use that can transmit video for around 6km (it's for a drone)? Thanks in advance and sorry for our unexpertise.
Hello Is it possible to use the P2P server example in stm32wb55 examples to add my own service and Characteristics and then be able to access my data on the STM32 sensor app. For example I want to add a sensor then send that data to my phone using the sensor app during my tests before developing my own app.
For a project im working on i need to be able to record sound with a battery powered microcontroller and send it to an RPi. I saw that the STM32WB was capable of this but can anyone tell me if i will be able to receive and process the audio file on the RPi since it only has BLE 5.0 and not 5.4 like the microcontroller.thanks in advance
Hi, I have two NUCLEO-WL55JC1 boards with me. I want to make one board as a end device and one board as a gateway. I found end node example with in firmware package of STM32WL but not found any example for gateway. Is there any gateway example available for NUCLEO-WL55JC1?Is this board(NUCLEO-WL55JC1) capable to run gateway example on it?Please help me to resolve above questions. Thanks,Meimurugan
Hi All, I can import STM32WB5MM-DK Zigbee_OnOff_Server_Coord application into STM32CubeIDE and can compile and debug, however, I would like to see .ioc file to understand more clearly how to set the clock and pins etc. I wonder if there is any place I can find .ioc file for this example. thanks,
Hello, We're wondering about the Next_State_Systime field in the end_of_radio_activity events - what kind of time unit is used for it, and how to make a use of it on application side.Long story short, we'd like to avoid some noise sensible operations in our system while some RF activity - typically an advertisement - is going on. We're struggling to find some data on that subject. We're using a ble full stack on wb55 chips.BR
Hello,I have a NUCLEO-WL55JC1 development board that I am trying to have communicate over subGHz RF.After configuring the RF module, I am trying to read what interrupts are generated based on different stimuli. To accomplish this, I set a breakpoint in the RF IRQ Handler function so I could read the value of the "itsource" variable. However, I'm seeing unexpected behavior when debugging this program. The interrupt initially triggers when I expect it to, and the program breaks in the interrupt, but the "itsource" variable keeps reading 0 (indicating no interrupt source). After this, it seems like my program gets trapped in the ISR and keeps looping over and over. Can anyone explain either of these behaviors? I will reply with the source code for my interrupt routine.
Hello ....I have an apk that seems to lose comms with a server. We have not been able to make it periodic or obvious as to the reason. We would like the server to timeout after 30 seconds of not receiving read/write rqsts from the client and force it's state to HCI_DISCONNECTION_COMPLETE_EVT_CODE which in turn will put it back into advertising mode. Can someone tell me what function can I call to set the parameter for the function SVCCTL_App_Notification(void *p_Pckt) which is a registered task in the sequencer? I would like to set the state and then I will call UTIL_SEQ_SetTask functionThanks
For a project for one of our customers, we use STM32WB15CCU6 microcontrollers on a custom board. The boards are returning from the field with several of the option bytes of the microcontroller set to a different value than they were programmed with. We would like help in restoring them. We don't use the bluetooth functionality of the STM32WB15CCU6; we just use it as a general purpose microcontroller; we don't have the wireless stack on the microcontroller. We connect to the STM32WB15CCU6 via an ST-LINK, over SWD. We read out the option bytes with 'STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin/STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=SWD -ob displ'. On the broken board, there are three option bytes different (compared to the known-good board). The values on broken board are in red, the working board is in green. We tried to correct these bytes, by issueing the 'STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin/STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=SWD -ob SBRSA_A=0x00 C2OPT=1 SBRSA_B=0x2' command,
Hello, actually, i'm searching some reference of Bluetooth module without pairing, i want that the Bluetooth module communicate directly without paring. Can you give some references please ?Thanks
I want to get RSSI value of connected p2p Clients to p2p Server and can i able to get multiple connection of p2p clients RSSI value. The main objective is get Client's exact distance from p2p server using RSSI.
I try to make an obscerver with a p-nucleo-wb55 that scan the surounding and give the adress id and the RSSI. I used the project P2P client as a base and add some codes : In the app.ble.c file in the SVCCTL_App_Notification function i add in the case HCI_LE_ADVERTISING_REPORT_SUBEVT_CODE , the following code adv_report_data = (uint8_t*)(&le_advertising_event->Advertising_Report[0].Length_Data) + 1; k = 0; /* search AD TYPE 0x09 (Complete Local Name) */ /* search AD Type 0x02 (16 bits UUIDS) */ if (event_type == ADV_IND) { int8_t RSSI; RSSI = (int8_t)*(uint8_t*) (adv_report_data + le_advertising_event->Advertising_Report[0].Length_Data); printf(" MAC : %02x:%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x" ,le_advertising_event->Advertising_Report[0].Address[5] ,le_advertising_event->Advertising_Report[0].Address[4] ,le_advertising_event->Advertising_Report[0].Address[3] ,le_advertising_event->Advertising_Report[0].Address[2] ,le_adverti
How does the STM32WB/ STM32WBA optimize power consumption during audio playback in BLE-enabled devices?
Hello ST experts,I am a beginner with the STM32WL series and need some support. So first I started with the STM32F407VG disc1 and I tried to communicate two boards of it using a SI4432 module and I didn't succeed, I tried something else and I bought two Nucleo-32WL55JC1 boards and tried to communicate them and it works as shown in the last post.It works as a ping pong application -you can find a better description about this application in this link page 44- after that I tried by developing the same code of the ping pong application to communicate a nucleo-32wl55jc1 with nucleo-32wl55jc2 because in the datasheet they don't use the same frequency but it works! Now I am working on RF communication between nucleo-32wl55jc2 and another RF device like a key car or a key garage with the same developed code of the PING PONG application but still I don't have any answer. My first question is if the NUCLEO-WL55JC cards are able to read RF signals from these RF devices? The second one is if th
Hi, i'm using the STM32WB5MM-DK borad and i encountered some problems about acquiring data from the SAI using the PDM interface. On my board is mounted the IMP34DT05 microphone which requires a clock frequency between 1.2MHz and 3.25MHz to work. I can generate a 2 MHz clock signal from the SAI and the microphone outputs the data correctly (I'm sure of this because I can the data with the oscilloscope). The problem is that I need to generate a 2MHz clock signal in order to let the microhone work but, to do that, I violate the constraints written in the datasheet of the STM32 in the SAI paragraph.I set the frame lenght = 256 bits but in the datasheet it is written that, using 1 or 2 microphones, the frame lenght must be 16 bits following the formula FRL = ( 16 * MICNBR + 1) - 1, where MICNBR is 0 in my case (1-2 microphones).I also tried to implement the example that is written in the global manual (see the highlighted row of the table in attached image). When I used 16 bits frame, 2 s
There are quite a number of cell chemistry for Lithium (and possibly others). Which one is good for Lora:Transmit time of 1.5 seconds or less, current 1C or less. Recharge 0.5C to be safe (may be 1C on spec.).Normal (non transmit) low duty cycle load is fraction of second every many seconds. Battery life one to several weeks.High-end consumer device price point. Small size, light weight and high energy density. Many thanks
