Is it possible to make my custom board without external ram and flash?If yes how can i do it?How can i test my custom board harware configs on a commercial Discovery Kit?TouchGFX doesnt recognise my parameters on CUBEMXHey Everyone.Im new to the embedded systems and TouchGFX concepts. I've made a few applications with STM32F429-DISCO and STM32H750B-Dk. I've followed the instructions on the documantary website and youtube tutorials. Now my problem is i want to make my own custom board with STM32H750XB but i dont want to use any external ram or flash while doing it.(Also my custom board has the same specs with onboard screen)My main approach was to disable all the FMC and QuadSPI configurations on CUBEMX, choose pins for LTDC from Schematics of STM32H750B-DK, enable DMA2D, choose CMSIS_V2, and set all the necessary parameters of TouchGFX (I was also using singlebuffer). Then i imported the CUBEMX project to CUBEIDE.When imported, i used .part file to make the GUI but the screen size does
Hello @Martin KJELDSEN ,@All ALL I have used STM32F746G-DISCO Kit.I have prepare Custom Container.Custom Container contain Following Widget:BOX (Back Ground)Image Text Widget (For display Value)Image or Box (For display status, GREEN,RED,YELLOW).Now, I would like to create the design like when i touch on custom container, It will display the Custom Container Information (It is like Tool Tip).I need to display : Custom Container Name Custom Container value. Custom Container communication parameter.Can you please suggest me. how can i display that information.your help is appreciated.Regards,Nikunj Patel
Dear all,We want to make all of you aware about the new IDEAS forum. As we often see feedback from you on improving TouchGFX here on the TouchGFX community, we now want to consolidate them, so everyone can comment and vote on the idea. This also enables us to have a dialogue about the specific topic, so we get most possible information for a potential implementation. You can find the link to the IDEA forum here: https://community.st.com/s/ideazoneBest regardsTouchGFX Team
Hello, I'm using TouchGFX to create a Scroll Wheel. I created 2 Container and setNumber function as this guide (https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/ui-components/containers/scroll-wheel/), but I met so much "?" on my Scroll Wheel.Below is my function: (in CustomContainer - LEDMenuElement.cpp)void LEDMenuElement::setNumber(int16_t value) { Unicode::snprintf(led_idBuffer, LED_ID_SIZE, "%d", value); // Unicode::itoa(value, led_idBuffer, LED_ID_SIZE, 10); led_id.invalidate(); }And my code in Screen1View.cpp:void Screen1View::LedScrollWheelUpdateItem(LEDMenuElement& item, int16_t itemIndex) { item.setNumber(itemIndex); } void Screen1View::LedScrollWheelUpdateCenterItem(SelectedTemplate& item, int16_t itemIndex) { item.setNumber(itemIndex); }How I can fix this issue? Many Thanks
Initial screenScreen when the button 1 is pressed -> button 1 label pop upScreen when the button 1 is released -> top area of display is strange Screen when button 2 is pressed -> button 1 label pop upButton 3 does not touch -> bottom area of display don't touchWhat did I do wrong?<Develop Environment>Tool Chain: TouchGFX 4.14.0 + STM32CubeIDE 1.4.0 + CubeMX 5.5.0 (FW_F4_1.24.2) + FreeRTOS 10.0.1H/W: STM32429I-EVALLCD: 3.5", 480 x 320 (SPI Init + RGB interface)
I want to uncomment #define SINGLE_FRAME_BUFFER_INTERNAL to use single frame buffer in internal SRAM and i dont want TouchGFX to generate codes about FMC. Where exactly BoardConfiguration.cpp generated.
Is there any easy way to use superscript or subscript in TouchGFX, or need to do custom implementation for it?I need subscripts in particular, which can appear in arbitrary numbers in middle of text fields.Maybe I can convert unicode characters to their subscript equivalent character, between 0x2000-0x2084 range.I will post solution here if I figure this out.
Hi Martin,I just updated my huge project from release 4.12.0 to 4.13.0 (skipped 4.13.) and generated the sources after a few minor changes. Now Keil can not find the source files for the images anymore, because TouchGFX now placed an "image_" ahead in the file names.I have 360 images !!! I would have to eliminate all images from the project and add the new ones in place. This is actually a time consuming job! Is there a way to get the files created as the prevois version ???Note: I can't use the project file which is created by TouchGFX, because I have created my job long ago with one of the first versions and without CubeMX support and had to set up my project manually - you might remember this. Thanks for any suggestions. Gaby.

Can these all be related with FMC QSPI adjustments? If not was my approach correct for custom board?
I'm working on BOE varitronix LCD with HX8277B LCD Driver . I need to integrate this with stm32h743 controller and need to display image using touchGFX . I have written initialization code to the LCD and trying to display but nothing is working so what may be the issue?Thank you
I wonder whether it is feasible to use 3D GPU on stm32MP1 instead of DMA2D?
Using TouchGFX Designer 4.13.0 with my Discovery Kit STM32H7B3 I have problem during Generate Code - Run Target and Run Simulator: it takes 5 to 10 minutes to generate Assets or starting simulator.I have a Win10 Pro 64 Bit, 32GB Ram, Intel i7 vPro 8th Gen, SSD HDD.As I saw in other post, I also disabled Avira Antivirus but without success.Could you please help me?Thanks
Hello!I have a swipe container with 3 pages in my TouchGFX app, running on an STM32F469 Discovery Kit. Everything is working fine, but I need to carry out certain actions when a swipe is started / ended. The docs state there are no built-in triggers for touchgfx::SwipeContainter, so I decided to add my code to it.But as soon as I add a field (GenericCallback) and this field's setter method to this class and invoke this method from my code, the UI becomes unresponsive. I guess the app just crashes.What am I doing wrong?Thanks.
Hello, I created a scrolllist where each item (container) contains a scrolllist with subitems (containers).Items and subitems have text areas which need to be updated. I know how to update texts in the items using "ScrolllistUpdateItem" in the Screenview but I can figure out how to do the same for the embedded scrolllists.I don't know how to update the texts in the subitems.Actually I don't even know if it is possible.Any suggestions?ThanksHave a good dayPietro
Hi,I am developing a small application on a STM32f746-disco, some parameters of which can be modified. I would like to store the modified parameters of this in memory in order to retrieve them on restart.As a maker beginner I am a bit confused on how to do this.Can you give me advice please?Thank you
I'm compiling the demo "TouchGFX Demo 2" (the one with the carousel: 2048 game, bird-eat-coin, home automation, ...).I also have a few peripherals/libraries in the project (freertos, mbedtls, lwip, fatfs, ...).This results in a large number of .o files that need to be linked.Compilation is ok, but linking fails with this error:Cannot run program "arm-atollic-eabi-g++":Command line too longThis is with Atollic TrueSTUDIO. The same happens with STM32CubeIDE.It happens both with the external builder and the internal builder ("Project | Properties | C/C++ Build | Builder Settings").The settings come from the demo as created by TouchGFX designer (I've added my own application source files into that project).It seems that the "command line too long" is a windows limitation of cmd.exe which is used to execute the linker.I'm on Windows 8 right now.Some say that the limit for the command line string is 8191 characters, though I've found that it's more likely 32767.The command line is now about
helloi want to used clicklistener and button callback.how to wrote this two callback in screenViewBase?screenViewBase::screenViewBase() : buttonCallback(this, &screenViewBase::buttonCallbackHandler) boxClickedCallback(this, &screenViewBase::boxClickHandler) { ........ }like thisi'm new in c++ language
Dear TouchGFX team,After I made 6 items for a scroll list, I made them to show 3 items on a sreen.When I dragged to the top, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd item showed as I expected. And when I dragged to the bottom, I expected the last 3 items ( 4th, 5th and 6th) show on a screen. But just the last item (the 6th) showed in the screen.I want to show the last 3 items in that situation.Is there any option or function to implement it? Or let me know if any other widget to make it.Sorry for my lack of explanation for it. I hope the attached image can be explained more easily.Thanks in advance!!J.Park
Hello,Here's my enviroment;STM32F769Ni Custom board : SDRAM(IS42S32800G-6BLI) + NOR Flash(M29W128GL70ZA6E) + 800 * 480 TFT LCD(RGB-24Bit parallel interface) + FreeRTOS (CMSIS_V2) + TouchGFXIt takes more then 20 second until LCD screen is displayed after power on.Here's what i tried1) changed setting to use internal flash for image(from external nor flash) -> same problem, takes too long until image is displayed on lcd.2) disabled FMC Bank1 (refer to ST Document (AN4861 : LCD-TFT display controller(LTDC) on STM32MCUs)4.6.1 : Disable FMC bank1 if not used) -> still slow3) copy image to frame buffer directly instead of using gfx generated widget -> in this case, lcd displayed quickly.Is there somthing I need to check / setting to try for this problem or document I can refer?Thanks.
hello everyone,I'm getting this error; when I debug then launch the program, the GUI_ functions cause a hardfault, so I tried to change the main to start with the following (shown in the figure) with the BSP_LCD functions but I get same problem, how can I solve this. In BSP_LCD_Init() ther's no problem.
I want to make a simple device to taking only photo and make decisions based on the photo. I would like to use the STM32WB as it has internal bluetooth modul. The camera module supports DCMI. The device will run on battery. After a few days of searching for info about STM32 and DCMI and I found info that only a few MCU supports DCMI interface :STM32F2STM32F4STM32F7STM32H7STM32L4The above info may be old, and the STM32WB familly is new.So my question is, can I integrate the STM32WB and digital camera with DCMI interface to take a photo only.
I use a stm32f746 disco board and try to set the adc at a sample rate of 1.8 MPS. The dma transfers starts correct (I toggle a gpio pin in the convert call back to check the samplerate). I start the adc dma before touchGFX is started but as soon touchgfx is started the adc raises a overrun error and the dma transfer stops. I am also not able to restart again. Does any one have experienced such behaviour? The adc1 dma is configured circular DMA2 stream 4 clock is 108 Mhz div = 4 12 bits 15 cycles gives 1.8 Mbps
Hi, I'm using touchgfx on STM3F746-Disco kit, and I'm having some trouble with internal RAM, it's too small for my application. So I'm trying to configure my project to use SDRAM instead of internal RAM. And I mean my variables get auto allocated on SDRAM, not by using a function to put it on SDRAM. I've found some post about changing the linker file (.ld). But I just can make it work. Can someone help me with a detail linker script file for SDRAM.
searching on Internet I found the solution, that is to create a custom application template, but the link, https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002741432-Create-custom-Application-Template It still not available, so I'm looking for a new link with detailed documentation for create my custom application template
Hi, are there any examples available on how to use LTDC in memory-constrained systems (SRAM only), L8/L4 pixel formats (indexed color), CLUT and DMA2D?I am trying to draw a simple line on DPI LCD connected to STM32F767ZI - so far without success.
