Hello,This is a fairly obvious bug with CubeMX configuration of the ‘Block Size’ for TouchGFX Hybrid Double Buffering.  Normal values are reported as errors but if I change the byte size to <-1, the errors disappear.  The parameter description also reflects this wrong OK case.  See screenshot for picture of bug being described. CubeMX ScreenshotContext:Recently migrated touchGFX from v4.22.1 to v4.27.0 for this project Using CubeMX v6.18.1 Configuring project for STM32U5 series (specifically STM32U5A9NJHxQ) Let me know if further information is required about my project configuration. Thanks

On the STM32U385 the generated MPU_Config() never configures any MPU attributes. Hello ST Community,I am troubleshooting a local debugging issue with the STM32N6570-DK (MB1939C) using STM32CubeIDE 2.2.0 on Windows 11.Environment Board: STM32N6570-DK / MB1939C IDE: STM32CubeIDE 2.2.0 ST-LINK GDB Server: v7.14.0 Debug interface: SWD Debug access port: AP1 – Cortex-M55 Connection: ST-LINK USB directly connected to the PC ProblemWhen I start a normal local ST-LINK GDB Server debug session from CubeIDE, I encounter the popup:“ST-LINK firmware verification – No ST-LINK detected!”However, STM32CubeProgrammer can connect to the board and successfully read, erase, and program the target.Tests already completed STM32CubeProgrammer detects the ST-LINK and communicates with the target successfully. Manually launching the same ST-LINK_gdbserver.exe command used by CubeIDE works and reaches “Waiting for debugger connection…”. Connecting CubeIDE using a remote GDB server configuration (127.0.0.1:61234) works. The GDB server listens on TCP port 61234, and arm-none-

Dear STM32 Team,In large-scale embedded projects that span multiple hardware platforms and coexist with multiple application firmware instances, the current STM32CubeMX workflow creates a full independent copy of HAL/LL libraries for every single project workspace. This redundant duplication makes it extremely difficult to maintain a unified, shared library baseline across the entire codebase. At present, I have to manually copy the auto-generated src/ and inc/ files from CubeMX output into our standardized fixed project directory structure. This manual workaround completely breaks the native iterative maintenance flow: every subsequent re-generation of code via CubeMX requires tedious manual file migration, which introduces high risk of configuration mismatch and human error. It would be a highly valuable feature if STM32CubeMX could add a dedicated configuration panel to let users fully define the custom directory hierarchy for all generated source files, header files, and library comp

Is there an existing STM32CubeProgrammer External Loader for the the ST M24512-A125 Automotive 512-Kbit I2C EEPROM device? I am looking to leverage an existing loader or one similar that uses an I2C EEPROM that will get me there. Currently I have a custom external loader that STM32CubeProgrammer will recognize the external memory config but it errors out on the read. Thanks.

I’ve split my project (called MONITOR-2025-A) in my workspace to two folders, the second folder containing files that will be common among multiple projects (both folders share the same parent, which is the workspace).I’ve used Linked Folder mechanism in STM32CubeIDE to set this up, and the project builds successfully, however, the default method of specifying the shared folder location is an absolute path.I wish the shared folder’s path to be relative to the referring project folder - this posting seeks help for how to specify a relative path in the “Edit Link Location” dialog box.Screen grab “edit link location” using the default method of navigating to the shared folder (project builds but is not portable):Absolute path to shared folder (not portable when copying workspace to other computer)Screen grab of the same dialog except I am trying to specify a path that is relative to the current (referring) project (if successful, the pair of folders could be moved to other root path witho

After upgrading from CubeIDE v1.17 to v2.2 I have problems debugging my H563 custom board:When I hit a breakpoint, sometimes I cannot Resume/Step Over/Step In. When running, sometimes I cannot Terminate or Disconnect and must relaunch the IDEDid not have these problems with CubeIDE v1.17. Versions with CubeIDE v2.2:gdb 7.14 ST-Link V3J17M11I would like to run the CubeIDE v1.17 gdb but see no way to edit the GDB server command line options.Anyone else encounter this?

Hello, When I try to create a project, I get a message saying that the project already exists in the workspace. However, I don't have such a project anywhere on my PC.        When I select Yes, I am asked if I want to delete an old project (which doesn't actually exist). When I check the box and select OK, I get a success message, but it looks different from other healthy projects in Explorer and I can't build it.          I uninstalled CubeMX and CubeIDE and deleted as many related folders as possible.C:\Users\<UserFolder>\.stm32cubeideC:\Users\<UserFolder>\.stm32cubemxC:\Users\<UserFolder>\.stm32cubeupC:\Users\<UserFolder>\.stmcufinderC:\Users\<UserFolder>\STM32CubeC:\Users\<UserFolder>\STM32CubeIDEC:\Users\<UserFolder>\STMicroelectronicsC:\Users\<UserFolder>\AppData\Local\Programs\STM32CubeMXC:\ST Reinstalling CubeMX and CubeIDE and creating a project again resulted in the same problem.Where is the information for this non-existent pro

I am observing that some of the #defines are not highlighted in blue color in STM32 Cube IDE, some are highlighted. What is the reason? It is bit inconvenient if it is not highlighted.

*how to port an STM32N6570-DK STM32CubeIDE project to VS Code (CMake/Make): FSBL/ECBLOB layout, signing and flashing? Hi all,I'm moving an STM32N6570-DK application from STM32CubeIDE 2.2.0 to VS Code and would like to know the recommended approach for the N6. The project is based on the Model Zoo object detection "getting started" application. It adds a JPEG encoder, the H.264 video encoder (VENC), FatFs on SD, and audio. Is there an official or recommended way to convert an N6 CubeIDE project to CMake? Does the "STM32Cube for VS Code" extension handle the N6 application layout (FSBL plus signed application in external flash), or only simpler targets?

Hello,I would like to report what looks like a bug in the STM32CubeMX MCU database for the whole STM32H5 family: the PLLx input frequency range (PLLxRGE) that CubeMX generates does not match the actual PLL reference frequency.A similar case was already reported for the STM32H5E4 and PLL3 in this thread (internal ticket #0064521). As far as I can see, the problem is wider: it affects every STM32H5 RCC database file, plus some PLL1 and PLL2 rules, and it is still present in STM32CubeMX 6.18.1.Disclosure: this was found by a Claude Opus AI agent while reviewing the code generated by STM32CubeMX for my project. I have checked the generated code and the database lines it points to, but I have not verified the behaviour on hardware (PLL lock/jitter), so please treat it as a report to be confirmed by your team.SetupMCU: STM32H563VIT6 (RCC IP STM32H5_rcc_v1_0) STM32CubeMX 6.17.0 (DB.6.0.170) and 6.18.1 (DB.6.0.181), with STM32Cube FW_H5 V1.6.0 and V1.7.0: same result HSE 25 MHz, USB clock from

When I clicked the "Access to MCU Selector" button, the interface did not respond. The pointer just kept rotating to indicate loading. However, when I clicked the "Access to Board Selector" button at this time, the selection interface could be opened. On the board selection interface, when I clicked the MCU/MPU Selector interface, it still showed the situation where the pointer was rotating and indicating a loading process, and I did not enter the MCU selection interface.

This may be an eclipse limitation. What I wantsingle workspace e.g. $HOME/work/cube a subdirectory for each board. e.g. cube/f303nuc, cube/f401nuc, cube/L100disc multiple projects in each subdir, e.g. f303nuc/blinka, uarta, dacaWhen I try to set up a project, [eclipse] complains about overlapping projects - apparently interpreting the f303nuc directory as a project. Is there a way to organize the way I like, or am I limited to a flat “hierarchy”?Background: Coming off a (gulp) 10 year hiatus. I’ve only used makefile projects in the past. I think I’m pleased that ST now has a linux version of the IDE.

I am unable to change the project name in STM32CubeIde, if i change it and try to open it i get error windows cannot find the file. They are all linked files, may be that is causing the issue, what changes i have to do avoid this error. The project is generated using MCSDK and after generation i am trying to change the project name in CubeIde.

I am running STM32CubeMX2 (1.1.1) on a Mac (Tahoe 26.6.2) and I did (with some difficulty) get it installed and running. I configured a MCU (STM32C552CEUx) and generated an STM32CubeIDE project. No problem.I went back and copied the .ioc2 file, renamed it, and went to configure a different system. Everything was going fine until I tried to configure some new pins after adding middle ware (FreeRTOS and basic_stdio). I could not select pin functions in the graphic mode, table mode, or through activating the associated peripheral (I2C2) and updating the GPIO there. So, I closed CubeMX2 and restarted. Now I get the splash screens showing fine, but when they go away, I just get the spinning timer in the upper-left of an empty screen. In file, I can click Close Window which it will dutifully do, but then I have nothing. In view, Reload and Force Feload do not seem to do anything.   Any thoughts as to how to debug this would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure but if this is a minor issue or should be fixed when working with STM32U083CCT6 MCU and those line is inside stm32u0xx_hal.c file.Note: I can not add picture or drag it i dont know why. * @brief Configure the Flash prefetch and the Instruction cache,* the time base source, NVIC and any required global low level hardware* by calling the HAL_MspInit() callback function to be optionally defined in user file* stm32g0xx_hal_msp.c. In the automatic generated comment lines it state that it was in stm32g0xx_hal_msp.c. If those kind of minor issues should be reported somewhere else , i use that place if i come accross the same situation again.(I am working with stm32u0xx by the way via CubeMX selection and code generation)

We used to define STM32 pinout in STM32CubeMx since it's aware of all the possiblilities of the MCU.Then we manually need to transfer the pnout into Altium Designer Schematic. And to keep those in sync when design changes. So we want to automate that step if possible. Thus the question: How can I Import pinout generated from STM32CubeMx into Altium Designer Schematic.

Hi,we are currently using STM32H745BIT6 208 Pin package, now this package is not recommended by ST for new designs, so we are changing to STM32H745II LQFP 176 pin package.is there a way to import the current project IOC file MCU to new MCU. how to do this. if I do again by creating new project it is a huge work. since we are in a production stage this change in new MCU will cause us several software related problem and it will consume again more time.please suggest how to import current project to new MCU Regards, srinath

I'm in debug mode in STM32CubeIDE.On the SFRs tab in the upper right corner, I want to enable UART4 and check the register status. But I only see UART-related items: LPUART/USART1/USART2/USART3.Why can't I find UART4?My MCU is an STM32C551RCT6.I'm very certain this IC has UART4

The oemirot provisioning tool expects the TrustedPackageCreator_CLI inside the same folder under mac osx silicone of the STM32CubeProgrammer. This yields an error for the provisioning.py script of these examples. So the python scripts won’t work anymore. I guess the development teams did not synchronise this fact.

SetupI am programming a STM32H7 in STM32Cube VSCode. I have two peripherals (SPI1 & SPI2) connected to the same clock PER_CK.IssueCubeMX is supposed to generate the clock configuration code inside the PeriphCommonClock_Config() function (because several peripheral share the same clock). Inside Boot, everything is done fine. Inside Appli, the function PeriphCommonClock_Config() is declared and called correctly. However, its definition is missing inside main.c. This yields :  [build] [...]/fw/Appli/Core/Src/main.c:97:(.text.main+0x10): undefined reference to `PeriphCommonClock_Config'Current WorkaroundI am currently defining PeriphCommonClock_Config() inside “USER” code blocks. This allows the build to happen with no problem. However, if I make changes to the Clock Tree and regenerate code from CubeMX, then I will need not to forget to adapt my definition of the function. This can’t stay like that.QuestionCan someone confirm this is an issue and not expected behavior from CubeMX ? Ca

I’m using CubeProgrammer v2.23.0 with the SDMMC_STM32N6570-DK external loader (no additional loaders). I have the boot switches in the boot0=L, boot1=H positions. I have looked at all the posts similar to this one, however none of the suggested fixes have helped. When I try to program the eval board I get the following error message ... NOTE: I am able to download a new GUI directly from TouchGFX to external flash and it is fine. So, this is obviously an issue with CubeProgrammer/settings within?

Hello ST team,I’m looking for information about ST tools/software for gang programming multiple STM32 devices simultaneously, particularly for production programming. We are planning to program minimum 8 STM32 devices in parallel using 8 ST-LINK programmers. Could anyone suggest the recommended ST tool or production programming solution for this setup?
