For the upcoming project planning to use the STM32H family of uC and try to run code from flash bank1 and use the bank2 for staging the new firmware.Once staged firmware CRC check would like to swap the code from bank2 to bank1 and reboot the device to start booting from bank1.To start with, got the STM32H7743I-EVAL board,  FLASH_SwapBank example code with the following order:Compiled FLASH_SwapBank1 code with the following changes:     BSP_LED_Off(LED1);     BSP_LED_On(LED2);     BSP_LED_Off(LED3);Compiled FLASH_SwapBank2 code with the following changes:     BSP_LED_On(LED1);     BSP_LED_Off(LED2);     BSP_LED_On(LED3);Erased the full chip using the STM32CubeProgrammingLoaded the Bank2 .elf in 0x08100000 using the STM32CubeProgramming - (Bank2 start address)Loaded the Bank1 .elf in 0x08000000 using the STM32CubeProgramming - (Bank1

Hi,I am using MB1549C devkit for STM32U5. I have enabled trust zone and created one application. Now I wanted to update firmware via native bootloader over UART. I have tried to connect it over UART2, I got read error over 0x0C00 0000 where secure firmware is loaded. even I am not able to erase firmware. I am able to read data from 0x0810 0000.Here my secure and non secure code .ld file mapping.  Can you please guide me, How can I update firmware of mcu which has trustzone enabled via native bootloader using uart? Please check option byte of needed. I have attached image.

Hi,my situation is this:We want to use a "liveSD" image and boot from emmc by default if "liveSD" isn't found. The SD card should be inserted even if it is not a "liveSD" card, boot eMMC should be running.I know we could override the OTP boot sequence, but can BootROM detect this from the "partition table" or device?

Hi All.I'm attempting to build an OpenSTLinux based software using a virtual machine VMWARE UBUNTU 16.2.5 build-20904516Using the command "bitbake -v -k <my_recipe_bb_name_file>" i have the error message: " ERROR: Nothing PROVIDES '–v' "Using the command "bitbake -k <my_recipe_bb_name_file>" i have the error message: " ERROR: Nothing PROVIDES '–k' "Using the command "bitbake <my_recipe_bb_name_file>" i have not errors but the compilation after many houres fails Using the command "bitbake -c cleanall <my_recipe_bb_name_file>" i have the error message: " ERROR: Nothing PROVIDES '–c' "If I use another PC with the same virtual machine and the same "layers" folder, I have no errorsWhy? Thanks

Hello everyone :D I am currently using the STM32H743VIT6 (LQFP-100) on a custom PCB.My goal is to generate fast positive pulses (ideal case would be a 10ns pulse) on TIM4 CH2 (PB8). APB2 is clocked at 200MHz so I can get 5ns ticks from my timer.Generating 100ns wide pulses is quite easy using PWM by placing "Pulse" parameter on 16bits to 19 = (20-1) since 100ns/5ns = 20.Problem is: if I want to narrow this pulse to 50ns for example, the trace of the signal starts to become rounded and doesn't reach 3.3V on top.I suspect it is because of the rise/fall times which are about 30ns each.Second problem is: When I change OSPEEDR register to VERY_HIGH, the rise/fall times are only reduced by a few nanoseconds while the datasheet shows rise/fall times less than 5ns for my range of capacitive load and supply (3.3V). I have estimated the capacitive load to be approx. 40pF.Can someone enlighten me please ? :folded_hands: 2sayle

I follow the guide to make an external loader and it works for the most part. I can erase sectors, write data. But I can only read data once. If I try make multiple Read, STM32CubeProgrammer returns error. See example below:Example:14:56:32 : Time elapsed during the read operation is: 00:00:00.00714:56:35 : UPLOADING ...14:56:35 : Size        : 1024 Bytes14:56:35 : Address     : 0x9000000014:56:35 : Read progress:14:56:37 : Data read successfully14:56:37 : Time elapsed during the read operation is: 00:00:02.314 15:18:18 : UPLOADING ...15:18:18 : Size        : 1024 Bytes15:18:18 : Address     : 0x9001000015:18:18 : Read progress:15:18:26 : Error: Data read failedIt does not matter, which start address I use in the second read request. We have designed a a custom PCB with a custom antenna using ST25R95 NFC Tag reader, also the antenna tuning has been done. We found an issue during our testing, at our production site the tags are not getting detected but the same PCBs are working fine in our office. We have observed that the AC mains supply is stable at both locations but the mains frequency isn’t stable at the production site. We are using a standard power adapter with input rating 110-240V 50/60Hz Output 5V 4A. Can the mains frequency variation lead to NFC chip not reading tags or it has to do something with the environment (EMI)? Also the DC voltage on the ST_R0 Pin is around 7.8V in both the environments (office as well as production site) indicating that the RF field is on if I'm not mistaken.

Do someone know how that we can import the Arduino string object in Cube IDE or how that i can make such object myself? I can't find any files about the construction of such object in arduino files(on my computer).

I am using STM32H743Bit6.Checking GPIO maximum frequency.Among them, in output mode 11, the maximum frequency of 220Mhz was confirmed in the third environment. What does the 'c' in conditions mean where?

I am using STM32H743Bit6.#define GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW     (0x00000000U) /*!< Low speed   */#define GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_MEDIUM   (0x00000001U) /*!< Medium speed */#define GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH    (0x00000002U) /*!< Fast speed  */#define GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH  (0x00000003U) /*!< High speed  */I would like to know the maximum frequency of each.And is it possible to measure the system clock 400Mhz from the MCO2 pin output terminal?

I'm using a NUCLEO-WB55RG board and if I create a new project in STM32CubeIDE 1.12.0 and enable the STM32_WPAN and HeartRate example it doesn't work because the different buffers that need to be in SRAM2 is not placed there.The app_entry.c defines these buffers like this:PLACE_IN_SECTION("MB_MEM2") ALIGN(4) static uint8_t EvtPool[POOL_SIZE]; PLACE_IN_SECTION("MB_MEM2") ALIGN(4) static TL_CmdPacket_t SystemCmdBuffer; PLACE_IN_SECTION("MB_MEM2") ALIGN(4) static uint8_t SystemSpareEvtBuffer[sizeof(TL_PacketHeader_t) + TL_EVT_HDR_SIZE + 255U]; PLACE_IN_SECTION("MB_MEM2") ALIGN(4) static uint8_t BleSpareEvtBuffer[sizeof(TL_PacketHeader_t) + TL_EVT_HDR_SIZE + 255];The automatically generated linker script contains the following, which ends up placing the buffers in RAM1 if I look at the address at runtime using the debugger./* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 512K RAM1 (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000008, LENGTH = 0x2FFF8 RAM_SHARED (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x2

I have tried following some online tutorials for Memory Protection Unit (MPU) setup, but I do not see the option for the `CORTEX-M4` in the STM32CubeMX window.

Hello.I'm using the lastest version of STM32CubeIDE, 1.12.1.The problem occurs after configuring al the STM32CubeMX perifereals and I try to build the project so it generates al the files that I need. But when I press the yellow wheel icon, the project doesn't generates well, it leaves MXTmpFiles in the project list of files, like you can see in the first image: After that, if I try to click on any peripheral to configure it, I can't, the click doesn't work.Sometimes if I click many times on the wheel it deletes the MXTmpFiles folder and compile the project, but it's not deterministic, it can occur the first time or the fifth (or sometimes never).I tried to delete and re install the program but it didn't work, it still happens, in all my projects. Is it a kind of bug or is there something that I'm missing?

Hi all--I am working on a project using the STM32WB55. I would like to distribute an "official" firmware, but also allow third-party firmware to be installed. The intent is that the official firmware will be open source, so users can make changes to the official firmware and upload their own firmware to the device. The catch is that the official firmware will include private keys (not part of the open source distribution, obviously) used for signing its output, so that users can verify that the output was produced by the official firmware, as opposed to a third-party firmware. This means:The official firmware should be encrypted, and X-CUBE-SBSFU will need to have the ability to decrypt that firmware.Users should not have access (either through JTAG or through third-party firmware) to the keys required to decrypt the official firmware, or to the decrypted official firmware itself.I think X-CUBE-SBSFU will allow me to do this with a little modification, but I wanted to get a second opini

I am using a custom board equipped with an STM32G473 controller and use ST LINK V2 .Recently, I decided to explore the usage of CubeMonitor for the first time. While the YouTube videos I watched provided clear instructions, none of them mentioned any potential issues that might arise during the process. However, I encountered a problem where STM32CubeMonitor displays an error message stating "Device not found." Strangely, I can communicate with the board perfectly fine using STM32CubeIDEI am curious as to why I am experiencing this issue and what steps I can take to resolve it.Settings in IDEThese are the lines that are connected between STLINK and board I attempted to close STM32CubeIDE before launching Dashboard to ensure that the connection is not being used by any other application. Unfortunately, this approach did not resolve the issue.Additionally, I double-checked that I selected the SWD (Serial Wire Debug) mode in CubeMonitor, but this did not provide a solution either. Now

I am developing a project to take some measurements with ADC channels, however the values are wrong. When I connect any ADC channel direct to GND, it gives me a value about 60~80 (The ADCs are 12-bit precision) and this error propagates for any reading. How should I solve this problem? Could be any PCB layout noise or is it a problem with ADC reference?

I cant find a product finder on the site. With google i cant only find apps. Anyone knows where it is? Mouser is not help either. I would like to look for uC with CAN bus.

We are using I2C of SPC56EC64 MCU to communicate with bq25798 battery charger IC.Communication is successfully done and we are also getting data from Charger. But whenever we do software reset of SPC56 MCU using below line of code mcu stuck in reset mode and it's RESET pin remains low. asm volatile ("wrteei 0" : : : "memory"); ME.IS.R = 5; ME.MCTL.R = 0x00005AF0; ME.MCTL.R = 0x0000A50F;Also before doing rest i deinit i2c module too using below code. i2c_lld_stop(); i2c_lld_deinit();We use bootloader also with this application. So i have configures I2C module in bootloader code also but whenever we do software reset MCU stuck in RESET.So it would be helpful if anyone could guide on this.#[SPC5 Automotive MCUs] @Erwan YVIN

Im using Scrollwheels on different screens. Wherever I move the selected Item to the middle of the list by increasing the SelectedItemOffset, Items above the selected Item (middle of the list) tend to disappear. As soon as I activate the Circular mode, everything runs fine.Does anyone else had similiar behaviour? I tried to provoke this with the very similar ScrollWheel/List example, but there it is running fine.I'm using the current TouchGFX 4.20.
