Solved

Hello All, I have created one project which is working on STM32H747i- Eval board with 800 x 480 resolution, now the project has to be migrated to 1024 x 600 resolution for larger display.I have migrated the backend code but now the Screen resolution is still 800 x 480 and the widgets are aligned to work with it.Now how shall I configure the project to 1024 x 600, I mean is there any to do it instead of manually adjusting the screens and widgets ?If there is any effective and better solution kindly do let me know ? Regards,Shiv

Hi there Is there any stm32 MCU versions that has can run both CAN and USB simultaneously without conflicting with the PB8 boot pin? Also the USB will only be recognized if the PB8 pin is pulled high can i just directly connect it to 3.3v and always keep it on. will that be a problem

Hi,We are implementing STM6600 push button controller for our design and we have below queries. Is there any pull up connected to PS hold pin, can I connect this directly to 3.3V logic MCU.For variant STM6600DU25DM6F, tON blank is 11.2s, Do we need to hold PB button for 11.2 for power EN deassertion, or if we set PShold to high within 1 or 2seconds, power on will be successful. Regards,Gowthaman

Dear forum members,I work on a project that repeatedly reads 3692 pixel intensity values from a linear CCD pixel-array. The readout process and export of the data via USB is working fine. Now I want to enhance the application by multiplying each pixel value with its specific correction factor to compensate for the individual sensitivity. I struggle to find the right method to import the correction values from a text-file.At first I tried to add a user include file that assigns the float values (in the range 0.90 to 1.10) to the array 'g_PixFactor' that is declared in the 'main.c' file. This approach produces errors like "re-definition of array 'g_PixFactor' ". I also tried to do the declaration and the assignment of the values in the include file, which gave other complaints. My questions are:   - Is the concept of importing values by an include file a workable method to solve my challenge?    - Can a more experienced forum member provide

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem while using the STM32H750 MCU. The hardware environment is STM32H750 + USB3300, which is used as a USB HOST HS to collect camera data. An LTDC interface is used to connect a TFT-LCD for display. An external SDRAM of 32MB is expanded, with a bus width of 16 bits.  Currently, when both the camera data and the LCD frame buffer are in the internal RAM, the MCU works normally. However, when the LCD frame buffer is placed in the external SDRAM, the USB HOST fails to work properly.

"Can someone please check this code? It's for normal LoRa point-to-point (P2P) communication. I’ve attached the file with this post. The problem I'm facing is that a software interrupt is supposed to occur every second and trigger my scheduled task — but it's not happening. Please help me fix it."

Hi everyone,I'm encountering an issue with the reset cause on my STM32H723VE microcontroller.Whenever I perform either a software or hardware reset, the RCC->RSR register does not retain any value—it always reads as zero. Here’s what I’ve observed using Ozone:If I set a reset breakpoint, execution halts immediately after the reset, as shown in the image below. However, if I set a breakpoint at the first instruction of the Reset_Handler, and then press "Run", execution stops correctly—but by that point, the RCC->RSR register has already been cleared and reads all zeros. Has anyone else encountered this behavior? Could something be clearing the RSR register very early in the boot process, even before entering main?Any insights would be appreciated.Best Olaf

i'm successful to drive RGB LCD 480*272 with stm32cube IDE , but if i change to touchGFX and load into target , it have some following error , remark: simulator is OK

As I am using this particular motor, "GL30 KV290", to test with the eval. board "B-G431B-ESC1". Although I was able to profile the motor using the profiler and eventually control it using motor pilot, I would like to properly assess how we can achieve PID control effectively for the speed of the motor, and how to tune RevUP parameters.(1) I profile the motor using the following information:     Magnetic Struct: SM-PMSM, Pole-Pairs: 7, Max. Speed: 3060rpm, Supply Voltage: 12V, Peak Current: 7.4ApkGL30 KV290 Gimbal Motor-Light 41g, Compact Φ34.5×15.7mmWith this link as the reference, pls check if i profiled the motor correctly?(2) Once I start to control the motor using motor pilot tool, I reach to this page as shown below:I only tested my motor with default auto calculated PID settings, and with speed adjustment the motor rotated at the set speed although not very constant. I don't really know to fine tune these settings to achieve proper PID speed control for the motor.

Hi, my name is Zaeem Ahmed.I'm currently digging into the STM32F1 HAL and trying to understand it at a deeper level. I'm intentionally not using STM32CubeMX — not because I have anything against it (it’s a great tool) — but because I want to read the HAL documentation and implement configurations manually to better understand what’s really happening under the hood. What I'm looking for:I would really appreciate any good resources, expert tips, or learning strategies that help connect:HAL APIs ↔ Hardware-level understanding from the reference manualThe challenge I'm facing:Often, when reading HAL documentation, I encounter vague or overly simplified explanations. For example:HAL_TIM_Base_Init vs. HAL_TIM_Base_MspInit — the documentation just says one initializes the timer and the other the MSP, which is obvious from the names but not why they're separated or how they work together under the hood.Another example:When initializing timers, there are different functions for different modes (

Hello,In our end-node application, the device occasionally needs to switch its operating class from Class A to Class C. This class switching is triggered by an external interrupt rather than a downlink message from the server. To achieve this, I am using the LmHandlerRequestClass() function from the LoRaMAC layer, which successfully switches the device to Class C. However, on the next Tx cycle, the device reverts back to Class A.How to ensure that the device remains in Class C after the class switch?

Hi everyone,I am currently working on a project involving the ST25DV NFC tag connected to a microcontroller (STM32). My goal is to test the Fast Transfer Mode (FTM) functionality. Here's the workflow I am aiming to achieve:1. An NFC device (e.g., a smartphone) sends an FTM response/request to the ST25DV tag.2. The microcontroller receives the FTM request/response from the ST25DV NFC tag and handles it accordingly.I am looking for guidance on the following:How can I simulate and verify the full FTM communication flow (NFC device ↔ ST25DV ↔ MCU)?Are there any specific tools or software recommendations for testing FTM functionality? Can I use ST25 NFC app to test FTM? Understand there is a app to test FTM demo using ST25 discovery kits. However I just need to test the transaction like send request to MCU thought FTM.Regards,

Hi everyone,I'm working on an STM32H7RS project (NUCLEO-H7S3L8) with the following setup:Bootloader in internal flash (0x08000000)Application in external OSPI flash (XIP) at 0x70000000Using FreeRTOSUsing TIM6 as the HAL time base (not SysTick)Configured using latest STM32CubeMX and STM32CubeIDE (v1.18.1)My current issue is that while HAL_Delay and TIM6 is working, SysTick seems not to work inside of the RTOS as soon as the scheduler starts.I noticed that because ther CPU got caught inside osDelay without throwing an error. I also already checked the NVIC, but it seems pretty fine to me. Did i otherwise miss something what i configured wrong inside my IOC file?

I am trying to use VScode to debug code on a STM32U5 nucleo board connected to another machine. To do that, I start VScode on my machine and use the "connect to Host" command, open the project on the distant machine and try to launch debug. Both machine run Ubuntu 22.04.Does it work for anyone ?At that point I get this:[2025-08-04T10:02:54.896Z] SERVER CONSOLE DEBUG: onBackendConnect: gdb-server session connected. I just updated my TouchGFX version to 4.25.0 and try a simple two screens sliding transition with my STM32U5G9J-DK2 with ThreadX RTOS, and I found my sliding transition not working.  No more sliding, the screens just updated with a glitch. Can anyone please help to point to me where should I look into?  Is it relate to timing in the TouchGFX thread timing?Thank you for your helps.

Hello all, I want to ask you that is any microcontroller in STM32 series which gives the 5V digital output .. I'm using STM32F746ZGT6, that gives 3.3V as digital output.. I want 5V digital output from microcontroller.. if somebody know then please suggest me ..

Dear ST team,Hello, I am using the VL53L1CX with the 3.2.1 library and have noticed that when measuring the distance to an iPhone, the results are not very accurate and tend to jump between several different distances. Is this caused by the iPhone’s Face ID sensor, the reflective glass surface of the iPhone, or some other reason? What can I do to improve the measurement accuracy in this scenario?Thank you for your help.

Hi,I have a custom board that duplicates the STM32N6 Disco schematic for an external flash MX66UW1G45G. I configured  the .ioc to configure XSPI2 and XPSIM with PN6 pin for the clk. I use STM32CubeProgrammer with the external loader activated for MX66UW1G45G. The CubeProgrammer connects via a J-Link cable, and I select the first few blocks to erase. When I click Erase Selection, the oscope shows activity on XSPIM_P2_IO0 and XSPIM_P2_IO3, but nothing on the clock. I also didn't see any activity on the NCS1, it remains high. The Clock Configuration tab in the .ioc file shows an active 66.66MHz clock signal to XSPI2, with HCLK as a source. The .ioc has XSPI2 and XSPIM enabled for all three domains - FSBL, Application, and ExtMemLoader. I attached the .ioc. Huge thanks for help!

We are using an STM32WB5MMG in a product, We needed to run a few BLE tests for compliance needs and came across the BLE transparent mode to help with BLE tests. In accordance with the ReadMe under BLE_TransparentMode inside STM32WB5MM-DK, we have undertaken the following steps Updated FUS to stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin at 0x080EE000Updated soft device with stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw.bin to 0x080C7000Modified BLE transparent Mode to change USART pins being used to PA9 and PA10 though Cube MXUpdated FUS and Stack Updated VCP_TX and VCP_RX The CubeMonitor-RF software refuses to connect with the device however  Unable to connect No changes are done to the transparent mode example with the exception of UART pin update. ioc file PDF attached

I am trying to update a textArea object from a .c file.I have been able to open the screen by creating a wrapper, the wrapper also handles the data to update.  The screen is called ResultsView.cpp and the textArea is called textAreaTap to open the screen i created a wrapper: showResultsScreen()// ResultsScreenWrapper.cpp #include "ResultsScreenWrapper.h" #include <gui/common/FrontendApplication.hpp> #include <gui/results_screen/ResultsView.hpp> #include <touchgfx/Application.hpp> #include <gui/results_screen/ResultsPresenter.hpp> extern "C" void showResultsScreen() { static_cast<FrontendApplication*>(touchgfx::Application::getInstance())->gotoResultsScreenNoTransition(); } extern "C" void update_results_screen(const char* resultText) { auto* app = static_cast<FrontendApplication*>(touchgfx::Application::getInstance()); ResultsPresenter* presenter = static_cast<ResultsPresenter*>(app->getCurrentPresenter()); if

I am currently evaluating the STM32G0 series for a project that requires two USB Type-C ports. Each port needs to support both Dual Role Port (DRP) functionality and DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP-Alt).Can the STM32G0 be implemented?

Hi all,I have a strange issue that I can't wrap my head around.I have an eMMC chip connected to a STM32U5G9The .IOC file is all standard: with the clock config as follows: However, when I start a debugging session I get stuck in the init function like so:It looks almost like the sysTick is not being updated at this point so the whole init just stalls. If I comment-out the MX_SDMMC1_MMC_Init() the whole system runs as intended (having a touchGFX application that boots right after the inits)I am running FreeRTOS right now where I think the whole thing should move to ThreadX but the init function should still function as intended, right? For now I am fine with just verifying if the eMMC can initialize. This is my first time setting up an eMMC so I might have overlooked something basic. Anyone out there with some good insights on this?

Hi All,I am following the UM2262 document. I will add a screenshot. I enabled the ENABLE_IMAGE_STATE_HANDLING flag to enable rollback, but after updating UserApp.bin, the device continues to reset. I will add a debug log screenshot (it’s not jumping into the application). Please help me with any references for the rollback feature using the SBSFU package version 2.6.x.  Document image 1:Debug image 2:  Regards,Raju
