I have one question.The L451CC has 160K of SRAM split in 128K + 64K.According to the datasheet SRAM2 is rermapped just on top of SRAM1 giving a full block of 160K.Wonderful, but… not so wonderful because CubeIDE ignores the SRAM2 and restrict the memory space to SRAM1.Is there a way to use SRAM2 E.G. by writing a customized malloc like function (I did that for the L429 series and it works fine) ?static volatile void * ccm_current_pointer;static volatile uint32_t ccm_current_free_memory;static void ccm_Malloc_failed(void);// ADJUST ONLY THE RESERVED AREA SIZE// TO CHANGE THE CCM HEAP SIZE#define CCM_RESERVED_SIZE 0#define CCM_AS_HEAP_SIZE 65536 - CCM_RESERVED_SIZE#define CCM_AS_HEAP_BASE (0x10000000 + CCM_RESERVED_SIZE)void ccm_Heap_init(void){ ccm_current_pointer = (void *) CCM_AS_HEAP_BASE; ccm_current_free_memory = CCM_AS_HEAP_SIZE; memset((void *) ccm_current_pointer, 0, ccm_current_free_memory);}void * ccm_Malloc(uint32_t block_size, bool force_in_sram){ void * _ptr; uint32_t _

Hi everyone,I have been testing this sensor for my application using ESP32 based board and I found that the readings/values of ambient and nb target do not co-relate or give any context to the values of reflect, signal, spad and sigma.Based on my data I found that#1 Sigma - is the most reliable feature to filter noise#2 SPAD - is the most reliable feature to see/spot highly reflective zones#3 Reflect/Signal - gives more reliable data (context) around the reflective spots - usually complementaryBut#4 Ambient - shows the reflective spots but not all the time and not complement other features, does it signify something else? more of environment? It does change based on the object color - white is high and black is low - indoors.#5 nb_target - what does it even show/mean/signify? this is the most ambiguous feature. There is a option to choose up to 4, does that mean 4 signal are sent per zone? and its filtered based on the best if I choose 1? Are all the data/values of other features selec

STM32N6: Black screen after HAL_NVIC_SystemReset() — FSBL not booting, works fine after NRST/power cycleGövde:Hello,I have a bootloader (FSBL) and a separate application on anSTM32N645L0, running from external XSPI NOR flash MX25UM25645GXDI00 in memory-mapped XIP mode (Octal DTR).Setup:FSBL configures the external flash into Octal DTR mode (volatile CR) at every boot and shows update/bootloader graphics on the display The application runs its own graphics To enter bootloader mode from the application, call HAL_NVIC_SystemReset()Problem:After HAL_NVIC_SystemReset(), the device stays on a black screen — the FSBL graphics never appear. However, if I reset via the NRST button or a full power cycle, everything boots normally. What I suspect:Since the N6 is flashless, BootROM must read the FSBL from external flash in standard SPI mode. My theory is that after a software reset the flash chip stays in Octal DTR mode (it doesn't lose power), so BootROM cannot read the FSBL at all.Questions:Is th

Hello,I implement kind of “lazy write cache” for flash and have problem. The consumer thread sends out cache write requests to the flash thread using events. The flash thread starts a SW timer which fires an event if no more cache write occurs. In the oscilloscope I see that the timer callback is run after timeout occured but the flash thread, which is triggered by the callback, is not executed immediately (it is run as soon as the next cache write event is received).I’m afraid this is a priority problem, but fiddling with task prios doesn’t help.Any idea is greatly appreciated!Thanks, Jochenuint32_t NCB_Cache_Write(eREQID_t eRid, ePNORNUM_t eFid, uint32_t ulOfs, uint8_t bData) { psNcbTaskArgs_t psArgs = &asNcbTaskArgs[eFid]; psArgs->pusBuf[ulOfs] = bData; psArgs->ulAdr = ulOfs; // run core thread after send request called by upper layer / send notification osEventFlagsSet(psArgs->phEventId, NCB_FLAG_FLUSH_REQ);}static void NCB_Timer_CB(void *arg) { // set TIMER event flag of

Hello,I have an STM32H743VIHx project created and developed using STM32CubeMX version 6.16.After automatically migrating the project to STM32CubeMX version 6.18.0 / 6.18.1, I encountered an issue with the FreeRTOS configuration. The migration process completes successfully, but the FreeRTOS configuration is lost. The previously configured FreeRTOS settings, including tasks, queues, semaphores, and other RTOS-related parameters, are no longer available.Furthermore, when I try to open the FreeRTOS configuration section in STM32CubeMX after migration, the configuration page cannot be opened properly. If I generate the code after this migration, all FreeRTOS-related code is automatically removed from the generated project. The generated project no longer contains the expected FreeRTOS initialization and configuration code.Additional information:Figure 1 shows the project after automatic migration from STM32CubeMX 6.16 to 6.18.x.In this migrated project:The FreeRTOS configuration option canno

Our team is looking to implement an application based on the upstream Trusted Firmware M (TF-M) framework (https://git.trustedfirmware.org/TF-M/trusted-firmware-m.git/) to take advantage of the latest security capabilities provided by the framework.    But we’ve found that with the latest TF-M LTS release, 2.3.x, support for the HW cryptographic acceleration peripherals of the STM32U5 has been removed, due to the migration from mbedTLS to TF-PSA-crypto library. Are there any plans for STM to implement support for crypto HW acceleration for STM32U5 in TF-PSA-crypto and TF-M 2.3.x?

We are evaluating the IIS3DWB10IS for a battery-powered vibration condition-monitoring node (STM32WLE5 + LoRaWAN, ~5 minute duty cycle, multi-year target on a primary cell). Our current IIS3DWB design measures 1.5 µA for the whole node by cutting the sensor's supply rail between wakes. Two things in DS14585 Rev 1 / AN6497 Rev 1 (DM01264337) pull against each other:- IddPD = 26 µA typ makes a load switch effectively mandatory against a 1.5 µA budget.- The ISPU has no non-volatile memory (AN6497 §1), so cutting that rail also erases the program — every wake has to reload it over SPI before it can do anything. My arithmetic says reloading is much the cheaper of the two: at a 300 s cycle, roughly 0.07–0.29 mA·s per wake to reload (4–32 KB program) against 7.8 mA·s to leave the part in power-down. Power-gating wins by 25–100×, and only loses if the node wakes more often than every ~5–11 seconds. But two inputs to that calculation are not in the documentation:What is the ISPU's supply current —

We need to use an ST67W611M1 on an STM32H5, running the Zephyr operating system in softAP mode. Currently, the Zephyr driver for the ST67W611M1 only supports STA mode. Is there a roadmap for this feature? Thanks,Denis M.

Hi,I need an ST-Link to debug external STM32U0 devices, specifically to modify option bytes and use RDP regression with OEM keys via STM32CubeProgrammer, and I was wondering if the JP6-11 pins on the Nucleo-U083RC could be connected to another MCU to use it as an ST-Link. Thanks in advance

I have created a project for the STM32WL33 several weeks ago, using the DEEPSTOP mode with context restoration provided by ST. Even if there are some pitfalls with this the project worked mostly fine. But after the update to STM32CubeIDE 2.1.0 I get a compilation error:./System/Startup/cpu_context_switch.o(CPUcontextRestore): Unknown destination type (ARM/Thumb) in ./Core/Src/system_stm32wl3x.odangerous relocation: unsupported relocationmake: *** [makefile:89: Euris3-EHKV-WMBus.elf] Error 1I've reverted the version to 2.0.0 and the error is gone.

Hello,I need very low latency, short distance, robust proprietary RF connection with encryption. Drone will not have much complicated functions, just will fly, make flip, hover etc. like other toy drones. For lowest latency, as far as I understand, I need lowest level hardware access. All three of STM32WBA, STM32WB and STM32WB0 are doing it via different ways but which one is better for me, I don’t know. STM32WB looks sensible because it has 2 cores to seperate RF functions for faster responses but it is not one of the latest generations and not sure whether it worth to learn. Which series is the most suitable for such project you think? Thanks for all responses.

I am using STM32MP235 on custom board. At some point, I wanted to update the firmware via SFU using STM32CubeProgrammer.I rebooted the board in USB mode (setting the boot mode to BOOT using the pins) and launched CubeProgrammer.TF-A-programmer-usb loaded onto the board normally, but after that, the board stopped responding via DFU.After a power reset, the board boots in DFU mode, even though the internal eMMC contains the old firmware, and the default boot mode is eMMC.As soon as TF-A is loaded onto the board, the board disappears. Nothing is written to the debug port, making it seem as if TF-A failed to boot.I tried using ROMTrace TF-A. The behavior is exactly the same, and no trace is output to the port.Pin PG4 (FAILBOOTN) is connected to a red LED. During normal boot, this LED starts blinking, and after flashing the TF-A (whether via USB or Serial), it turns solid. The documentation says that the FAILBOOTN LED blinks when the board initially boots in USB/UART mode, meaning it doesn't

Hello, I am trying to communicate with a VL53L1X sensor using a PIC18F16Q41 hardware I2C peripheral (MCC-generated driver). The sensor module is AE-VL53L1X from Akizuki Denshi (Japan), which includes the original ST VL53L1X sensor and onboard level shifter. Current issue: The sensor ACKs correctly, but reading the Model ID register (0x010F) always returns 0x00 instead of the expected 0xEA. Current I2C sequence: START W 0x29 ACK 0x01 ACK 0x0F ACK STOP (wait about 1 ms) START R 0x29 ACK 0x00 NACK (expected 0xEA) STOP What I already confirmed: * Wrong I2C addresses correctly return NACK from the sensor * XSHUT is correctly pulled up * Sensor power is stable before PIC startup * Oscilloscope confirms correct ACK/NACK behavior Important comparison: Using a RATOC USB-I2C converter with the same sensor module, register 0x010F correctly returns 0xEA. So the sensor module itself appears to work correctly. I compared the oscilloscope waveforms between RATOC and PIC. One difference i

When scan mode is enabled, the readings from the first two channels are normal, but for the last two channels with an active voltage signal input, the ADC still shows readings of over a thousand when 0V is input. When I disconnect the external interface, I find that this channel has a voltage over 1.3V after initialization. Why is this happening? Later, I tried enabling single-read mode and initializing the ADC interface each time before reading, and the values read were normal.

Subject edited to mention ARM64 - p.a. Hi everyone, I am having trouble getting my STM32 NUCLEO - F411RE setup. When I attempt to run a simple program through CubeIDE I am met with "NO ST-LINK detected! Please connect ST-LINK and restart the debug session." It also returns the same error when I attempt to run other programs. Here's what I have tried thus far :      - In my Device Manager I can see "ST-Link Debug" which has the status: "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) There are no compatible drivers for this device. To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver." I've tried both the "search automatically for drivers" and "Browse my computer for drivers" (using C:\Users\jthom\OneDrive\Desktop\stsw-link009\amd64), however both have thus far failed.     - Restarted computer multiple times      - I've installed CubeProgrammer however when I attempt to connect ST-LINK through there I am met with: "Err

Hi all:On the following page:https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubeg0.htmlThere is an option to download Patch_CubeG0 v1.6.3, but the file named stm32cubeg0-v1-6-3.zip only weighs 70 MB, and, depending on the unzip compressor, I get errors like "Unexpected end of archive" or "End-of-central-directory signature not found".I have tried downloading the file with different browsers and tools, to no avail.I can download the previous version stm32cubeg0-v1-6-2.zip without no problems. It is much bigger and identical to the one I had downloaded a long time ago.Is the v1.6.3 patch file corrupted on the st.com server? If I try to download the full version, I only get v1.6.0. If I click on the "Get from GitHub" button next to it, I get a full v1.6.3 called STM32CubeG0-1.6.3.zip, but then directory "Drivers/STM32G0xx_HAL_Driver/" is empty.I could manually piece the latest versions together from Git, but this is time consuming and error prone. Is there another way? Thanks in advance,  rdie

Failed to set local time on STM32MP257.Firstly, I tried to use the commanddate -s "yyyy-mm-dd xx:xx:xx", and system can successfully return the time I set. But when I again use “date” to get the local time, system still return the wrong time in 2024.Then I tried to write into RTC, but still failed. Now because of the failure of time setting, all the apt command are unavailable. So I want to know how to correctly change the local time and RTC time, or to find an alternate way to apt-get package.Thank you.

I take care not to turn off RF field so selected PICC does not return to IDLE state....Also, if I send a READ command to PICC instead of HLTA I can read all data without any problem. Any suggestion? Thank you
