Posted on March 23, 2018 at 13:11I ported u-boot 2018.03 to my own board based on stm32f767igt,i set some register with systick timer as below:as the above picture, the systick timer count is changed,but i couldn't get in systick handler?besides register on 0xe000e010,is there some other registers will influence systick timers performance??I get confused ...

Posted on March 27, 2018 at 12:57I created support request, got proposed solution to it and I'd like to add a clarification to my question. However, I have no idea how to do it.I can:- accept solution (to soon)- reject solution (not exactly what I want)- updateI choose update, it seems to mean 'update your original request'. I added some text, pressed 'Send' and nothing changed. I tried to do it twice.I feel very stupid but now I need technical support on how to use technical support -_-' What should I do if I need to post an answer to my support request without chaning its status or rewriting original question?#st-support #technical-support

Posted on September 27, 2017 at 19:03I want to turn on the led attached to PC.9. I do this:    LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef initStruct;    LL_GPIO_StructInit( &initStruct );        initStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_10MHz;    initStruct.OutputType = LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_PUSHPULL;    initStruct.Speed = LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH;    initStruct.Pin = LL_GPIO_PIN_9; // that equals 0x04020002        LL_GPIO_Init( GPIOC, &initStruct )This code will actually init PC.2 (not PC.9 as it's supposed to) to output push-pull.Why? LL_GPIO_Init does this:    pinpos = POSITION_VAL(GPIO_InitStruct->Pin);where    &sharpdefine POSITION_VAL(VAL)     (__CLZ(__RBIT(VAL))) so pinpos will be equal to (__CLZ(__RBIT( 0x04020002 ))) which is equal to 1.Then current pin will be calculated like this:    currentpin =

Posted on March 21, 2018 at 14:31Hi,I'm unable to run NUCLEO STM32F303 board with Atollic (Embedded C Program).The processor is the STM32F303K8, the program is the template proposed by Atollic.It's all Ok whith mbed Compiler.The same program run correctly with NUCLEO STM32L013 and Atollic compiler.The problem is that the main() function is never reached.A Hard Fault during the startup phase (file startup_stm32f303x8.s) stops the program.More in detail, when the instruction 'push  {r7} ' is executed (after calling SystemInit), a hard fault is generated.The same don't happens using STM32L013 or STM32F722 MCUs (same program, same compiler).Can you help me ?Thnks Giampaolo#hard-fault #stm32f3

Posted on March 23, 2018 at 10:06Hello!I'm currently developping a SD Card driver, and after some hard work, I got to a point where everything works pretty well. However, I have this one SD card that doesn't boot properly, while 3 others work great. I'm working on a STM32F070, accessing the microSD card with SPI, clocked at 12MHz.The error occurs at the very beginning : I send CMD0, the card actually sends the correct response (0x01), but then, when sending CMD8, the command is rejected (I get a 0x7F R1 response). I tried sending CMD0 again instead, same result. I raise CS, send 8 clock bits, and lower CS again between the two commands.The 3 cards that do work are:- Standard capacity 2G, with no speed class indication- HC 4G C10- HC I 4G C4 (this one is strange : UHS-I bus, but low speed class C4)The one that doesn't work is a HC I 16G U1.I read a lot, I tried a lot, but I can't figure out why the card would accept CMD0 and reject everything else after that. Of course, I tested the ca

Posted on March 26, 2018 at 10:59Hi, I am currently using version 4.22.1 of MX cube with a F4 board. I want to use the interface of CubeMX to initialize a device (in this case I2C) but using LL driver. As describe  on the UserManual UM1718 : In my project setting> advanced setting. I do not have a column allowing me to validate or not visibility (static) Similarly I only have the option HAL which can be chosen if I click in the driver selector part ...I can  add the LL library to my project manually, but I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong with Cube MX. Thanks in advance Jems#ll-drivers #stm32f4

Posted on March 09, 2018 at 11:44The LIS3DH is configured to use INT1 to interrupt the MCU when the acceleration value on any of the 3 axis exceed the threshold that is set by the MCU. Firstly, as my understanding, the LID3DH does not stop sampling acceleration data even if the interrupt is triggered (even in stream-to-fifo mode, it does not stop sampling until the fifo gets full). Is this correct? If it's correct, is there a good way to get the acceleration data corresponds to the exact time when the interrupt is triggered? Thanks.

Posted on March 08, 2018 at 17:26Hello all, I am having a problems to update some values on the master, I am using bluenrg-1 I have one device working as a master and other as a slave. The slave has a button, I have both connected and every time I press the button on the slave  the function aci_gatt_update_char_value() is called containing a value, I have on the slave that configuration:aci_gatt_add_char( Service_Handle, UUID_TYPE_128, &char_uuid, CHAR_VALUE_LENGTH,CHAR_PROP_READ|CHAR_PROP_NOTIFY, ATTR_PERMISSION_NONE, GATT_DONT_NOTIFY_EVENTS, ENCRYPTION_KEY_SIZE, ATT_HAS_FIXED_LENGTH, &CharHandle);the master is discovering the service and characteristic from the slave. Do I need to do something more or in a different manner? Which event function will be call on the master?I can read the values from the master  requesting the value every x time once both are connected but I would like to received the value on the master just the button is pressed. Than

Posted on March 24, 2018 at 22:22hiim trying to implement dual boot using BFB2 bank switching on this chip, and after the code is burned in the second bank (ox80800000), it doesnt boot.i single stepped through the bootloader code, and it seems that the bootloader checks the first bank address to be between 0x20000000 and 0x20040000, which fails because the initial SP is located near the end of SRAM which is at 0x20050000.for this chip.could it be a bug in the bootloader code, or something im missing ? alternatively, how can i locate __init_sp in some lower address ?

Posted on March 22, 2018 at 09:31hi all,   I'm using a board with one stm32l071.I have get code by stm32cubemx,and then I added my code on that.But now I have a issue with RTC,after I set the RTC registers, the hour in the register is less than my setting.For eg, I set 15:30:00 to the RTC registers, but I will get 14:30:00 after my setting code.This will occur when I debug in keil simulation using full speed running,but when I debug step by step,this will not occur!Thanks for your help if you know how to solve the problem.my code:void Time_SetCalendarTime(struct tm t){ RTC_TimeTypeDef tmp2; RTC_DateTypeDef dt; HAL_StatusTypeDef ret; dt.Year=t.tm_year-RTC_START_YEAR;/*start from 2018*/ dt.Month=t.tm_mon+1; dt.Date=t.tm_mday; dt.WeekDay=0;/*disable weekday*/ tmp2.Hours=t.tm_hour; tmp2.Minutes=t.tm_min; tmp2.Seconds=t.tm_sec; ret = HAL_RTC_SetDate(&hrtc,&dt,RTC_FORMAT_BIN); printf(''set date..<%d>(0-OK,1-ERR,2-BUSY,3-TIMEOUT)\r\n'',ret); ret = HAL_RTC_SetTime(&a

Posted on March 22, 2018 at 18:36Hello Dear Forum members,This question is regarding SPC560P40L1 controller's eTimer module.At the moment my eTimer module using 'IP Bus clock' which is of 64M Hz. I am using prescaler value of '32' to get 2M Hz to eTimer module.I want to have clock frequency of 20M Hz(or 40M Hz or multiples of 20M Hz basically).I see in the block diagram of technical datasheet that(Please see attachments) there is option to choose from clock sources: 'Clock' or 'IP Bus clock'The crystal oscillator frequency is 40M Hz. I would like to use this frequency as input to my eTimer module but i don't know how or even it's possible to get this Frequency routed to eTimer ?I would be happy if someone can share any useful tips or suggestion in this regard.Best regardsSathish #spc5 #spc5x #clock-selection #etimer

Posted on March 22, 2018 at 17:49Hi in the reference manual for for STM32F76xxx and STM32F77xxx  which can be found here:http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/reference_manual/group0/96/8b/0d/ec/16/22/43/71/DM00224583/files/DM00224583.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00224583.pdf There is a small typo on Section 2.2.2 Figure 2 that shows the Memory Map.The error is in the Reserved Area above Flash memory on ITCM interface which should start from the end of Flash and should be 0x00400000 - 0x07FFFFFF instead of 0x0030000 - 0x07FFFFFF which conflicts with the area for the ITCM Flash I/F#reference-manual-error

Posted on March 21, 2018 at 10:00I have STM32F103C8 as a SPI master and a STM32F407VE as a SPI slave.I haven't worked with SPI enough to find optimal way to write communication mechanism, and earlier work with SPI only on AVR and Texas Instruments C2000 platforms, so STM32 is new for me.That's what I remember about SPI: Master initializes communication, sends data by MOSI with CLK. Slave can answer to request only when master will send something. So - slave should be ready to push data by MISO when CLK will appear. Hope that's right.Transmission and receiving by interrupt works fine. F103 transmits by command HAL_SPI_Transmit() to F407, which receiving data in ISR, every byte, no troubles.But now's my headache begins.Master sends command to slave to get ready for answer. Slave collects data in one array and pushes it to transmit buffer. Master, after 1ms delay sends zeroes to slave just to receive whole array of data from slave. '\n' means the end of transmission.So how I should organ

Posted on February 28, 2018 at 22:28I would like to measure the current consumption during the 'Wake-up' mode with capacitive or inductive sense, and also during  the active rf-reads. Currently, the chip is powered by 5V and 3.3V. I am thinking to remove the 5V source and connect the Vdd to 3.3V as well. I can monitor the current coming from the 3.3V source. I should also remove the power LED to eliminate the current draw.Anything else I am missing?

Posted on March 05, 2018 at 20:48Using TrueStudio for STM32 v.9.0.0  and STMCubeMX v.4.24.0STM32F100C8 and Low Layer drivers.I noticed that LL support for GPIO ports above GPIO_PIN_7 does not work. I tried to use GPIO_PIN_13 on GPIOC but saw that PIN_5 was being configured instead. Browsing through stm32f1xx_ll_gpio.h, I noticed that CRL is, but CRH isn't used anywhere.Also RCC_MCO doesn't work, as it is on GPIOA PIN_8.------------And shouldn't stm32f1xx_hal_conf.h refer to LL drivers instead of HAL drivers when you selected LL in STM32CubeMX?It says:#define HAL_CORTEX_MODULE_ENABLED#define HAL_DMA_MODULE_ENABLED#define HAL_FLASH_MODULE_ENABLED#define HAL_GPIO_MODULE_ENABLED#define HAL_PWR_MODULE_ENABLED#define HAL_RCC_MODULE_ENABLEDand then:#ifdef HAL_RCC_MODULE_ENABLED #include 'stm32f1xx_hal_rcc.h'#endif /* HAL_RCC_MODULE_ENABLED */#ifdef HAL_GPIO_MODULE_ENABLED #include 'stm32f1xx_hal_gpio.h'#endif /* HAL_GPIO_MODULE_ENABLED */   #ifdef HAL_DMA_MODULE_ENAB

Posted on February 07, 2018 at 13:33 Greetings. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what is wrong with I2Ccommunication and thus found this issue. Following code works as it is expected to (it changes corresponding CNFy bits to 0x03 and MODEy bits to 0x03 too): /* Configure SCL Pin as : Alternate function, High Speed, Open drain, Pull up */ LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_6, LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE); LL_GPIO_SetPinSpeed(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_6, LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH); LL_GPIO_SetPinOutputType(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_6, LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_OPENDRAIN); LL_GPIO_SetPinPull(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_6, LL_GPIO_PULL_UP); /* Configure SDA Pin as : Alternate function, High Speed, Open drain, Pull up */ LL_GPIO_SetPinMode(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_7, LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE); LL_GPIO_SetPinSpeed(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_7, LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_HIGH); LL_GPIO_SetPinOutputType(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_7, LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_OPENDRAIN); LL_GPIO_SetPinPull(GPIOB, LL_GPIO_PIN_7, LL_GPIO_PULL_UP);??????????

Posted on March 16, 2018 at 16:55Hi All,I am just getting started with stm32. I am using a stm32f031 mcu and am trying to read an input signal from a flight controller. The protocol used puts out a series of 4 pulses that vary from 1us to 2.6us in width with a 1us in between ( proshot protocol). I have used input capture with a timer for slower speed pulses but I have no luck with reading such short pulse durations. I am looking for clues as to how to read this? It seems input capture with interrupts is just too slow? Is DMA the solution here? can DMA read the 4 pulses one after another like this and store in an array? I am really new at this and I have spent a lot of time trying things than find out it could never work so this time I am asking first. Thanks for your help!

Posted on March 19, 2018 at 11:41I'm trying eval board with SPBTLE-1S module. I'm using BlueNRG-1 Navigator v 2.6.0. If I flash any demo application, no BLE service can be discovered on the phone (Nexus 5X, Android 7.1.1.)E.g. BLE Sensor demo - DL3 shorty blinks after reset, then BL1 slightly flashes, so the chip is doing something, but no RF signal. (Previous chip TI CC2540 has communicated correctly, with the same phone.)Have I missed something or is the chip broken?

Posted on March 20, 2018 at 18:33Hi!Fairly new to programming and embedded software in general but I'm having a problem with interpreting the values I am receiving from the magnetometer registers.I'm able to get a value between 0 and 255 for each register (both high and low for X,Y and Z). I can't seem to workout what to do with these values; any help would/point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!Thanks,FraserEDIT:For anyone searching this in look for help, I have a github on this project: https://github.com/FrazLaw/RoboPot . The code isn't perfect but it may help someone else, like myself, looking for some assistance as it can be a fairly difficult task if you've never done something like this before.Fraser#e-compasses #e-compass #lsm303agr
