Solved

Hey, I am using a customize board (MCU:STM32L452CCU6) to develop a gate checker with vl6180/V1 and cover glass with IR filter. Implemented a default value and setting ,the sensor and code works fine indoor. But in the outdoor condition under the sunlight, the sensor only shows 255. I read the datasheet, some setting could help me to overcome this situation, but I don't know which steps should i go first( crosstalk,threshold , convergence time or SNR?). So, which parameter should i deal with it first in order to solve this problem?

We have had this part on order from Mouser for over one and a half years, and Mouser cannot get any details on when ST will deliver. ST, is this part still in production? If so, why are you not allocating any to your authorized distributors in the US and why are you not providing any planning data to your distributors? When will this part be actually be available so your customers can go to production with it?  Your website states this part is "Active: In Volume Production" Is this correct or is this a mistake? I don't think you would accept a "will advise" date from one of your silicon providers, so why do you think it is acceptable to your customers? You must know when these parts are being outputted from your machines and what companyies you plan on sending them to, and when. Please answer when they will be sent to your authorized distributors.Thanks

I'm attempting to run the X-CUBE-SPN3 demo for a single motor on the NUCLEO-F030R8 with the X-NUCLEO-IHM03A1 stepper motor driver. Importing the project into STM32CubeIDE went fine. I updated some of the parameters within the powerstep01_Init_u struct to match the stepper motor I'm using (Nema 17 Stepper Motor - 17LS13-0404E-100H), mainly the torque values. When I build and run the project, the demo starts off fine, but then pauses for multiple minutes before continuing with the next motor command. When I took a look through the debugger, I found that the BSP_MotorControl_WaitWhileActive() function was hanging. Specifically, the nested function Powerstep01_IsDeviceBusy() defined in powerstep01.c always returns true. Has anyone had this experience and been able to fix it? I'm a bit lost on where to go from here.

Hi,I am using ThreadX and the STM32L4A9 processor.  When my application is ready to sleep I call an enter low power function. I followed sample code from ST Cube example which disables the GPIO CLKs and enters STOP Mode 1.//ENTER Low Power Mode/* Disable USB Clock */__HAL_RCC_USB_OTG_FS_CLK_DISABLE(); //We currently don't use the USB clock source/* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */__HAL_RCC_GPIOI_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOH_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOE_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOG_CLK_DISABLE();HAL_PWREx_DisableVddIO2();__HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOF_CLK_DISABLE();/* Suspend sys ticks to avoid waking up the mcu on every interrupt */HAL_SuspendTick();/* Enter Stop Mode */HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI);My device wakes up without issue however it is not able to successfully read from a LPUART attached device. If I comment out the GPIOX CLK enable()

I'm looking for some reference designs for circular NFC antennas that I can import into my KiCAD (or EAGLE) PCB project.This link appears to provide them, but it just provides a PDF document listing a range of different circular and rectangular designs, but not any details that I can utilise to actually import a design into my PCB.https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/premium_content/document/group0/b7/d8/32/06/81/0c/42/34/Antenna_Design_Premium_Resource/files/ST25_D-tag_antenna_reference_design_matrix.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.ST25_D-tag_antenna_reference_design_matrix.pdfDoes anyone know where I might find something suitable on the ST website?Thanks and regards,Mike

Does anybody know if there is any difference between these two MEMS Microphones. The IMP23ABSU does have some Ultrasonic characteristics, but my understanding is the MEMS mics would have ultrasonic bandwidth anyway.Thanks

Hi there, I am getting started with motor control with the ST kit P-NUCLEO-IHM03 and MCSDK 6. While I successfully ran the default configuration (i.e. FOC + 3 shunt current sensing), I am having trouble with non-default configurations (i.e. 6-step +1 shunt & FOC+1 shunt) and I am wondering if I am missing anything (e.g. parameter adjustments in MC Workbench or Jumper settings on the Nucleo or expansion board).For 6-step & 1 shunt, I only changed the algorithm in MC Workbench to 6-step and adjusted the jumpers on the expansion board according the table in section 4.1. in the document UM2415  (i.e. close JP4 & JP7 with solder bridge, open J5 & J6, close J2 on 1-2,  close J3 on 2-3).After generating and flashing the firmware, I started and modified parameters via the Motor Pilot. However, for speeds below 600rpm the motor runs very "choppy" i.e. stops intermittently. So to exclude that this is normal behavior with the 6 step algorithm I tried the other

Hi,I'd like to create a library for fast handling the USART2 and TIMER. Unfortunately, when I move the USART2_IRQHandler() to the library, the linker do not include this function in a final application, and the program crashes by ending up in the endless loop of the Default_Handler. When I move the function back to main.c or other file within a target project - it works. How to update the interrupt vector table for external function? Cheers,Mike

Where does the external pad get connected on the ST25R3918-AQWT package?  Ground?

Hi, I would like to download older versions of the VL53L5CX gesture library (to be exact the 1.7 and 1.8 versions for cortex M4), but I'm only allowed to download the latest one (1.9). Is there any possibility to download these two versions?Regards.Stepan

Hi,Is there any way to use Motor Profiler with EVSPIN32F601S3 Board ?--Karan

Dear experts,I am encountering an issue while assigning a value to an element of a struct that I'm using a pointer to access. The code compiles successfully and programs on our SPC563Mx MCU board. However, when attempting to assign a value to a specific element, the code does not function as expected. I'm wondering if there are any limitations or restrictions that I might be overlooking. Here is a snippet of the code I'm working with:typedef struct _s1{ s2 registers; // another struct inside this struct bool writeCmd; bool readCmd;}s1;in main.c, I have:s1* ps1;      // globalps1->writeCmd = 1;If there are no inherent limitations, I would greatly appreciate your assistance in identifying the problem.I would appreciate any insights or guidance regarding this issue. Thank you!

Dear @KDJEM.1 I need to write the data to flash memory also read from the flash memory. I am using STM32L4P5-Dk(1MB of flash is available) in that ,say 0xABFF23 should be stored in the flash memory. How it can be done ?which hal function should be used?

Used STM32CubeIDE version: 1.12.0Used driver library: STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.2.0I used low-level drivers for the PWR peripheral.When configuring secure protection in the PWR configuration, e.g. enabling PWR Security "Voltage detection and monitoring secure protection" and "Backup domain secure protection", the code generator adds multiple calls to LL_PWR_ConfigSecure() in the function SystemPower_Config() instead of collecting the parameters and add a single call to LL_PWR_ConfigSecure(). This leads to only the last secure protection set being effective since all previous ones have been overwritten.This is how the code generator currently inserts calls to LL_PWR_ConfigSecure():/** PWR Privilege/Secure Items Configurations*/LL_PWR_ConfigSecure(LL_PWR_VDM_SEC);LL_PWR_ConfigSecure(LL_PWR_VB_SEC); And this is how the code generator should insert a single call to LL_PWR_ConfigSecure():/** PWR Privilege/Secure Items Configurations*/LL_PWR_ConfigSecure(LL_PWR_VDM_SEC

Good morning, everyone!I'm new here at the ST forum, so please forgive me if I make any mistakes.Currently, I'm working on migrating the ST25R3916B library for the X-NUCLEO 08A1 DK from ST to Nordic (specifically, nRF52840).I've already replaced all the SPI functions from ST with the Nordic ones, and I've confirmed successful SPI communication using the SALEAE device. However, I'm encountering an issue with the MISO channel not receiving the correct parameters. As a result, the program initialization is failing in the line: Here i have my platfrom.h configuration: #define platformProtectST25RComm() do{ globalCommProtectCnt++; \ __DSB();nrf_drv_gpiote_in_event_enable(ST25R_INT_PIN, false); \ __DSB(); \ __ISB(); \ }while(0) #define platformUnprotectST25RComm() do{ globalCommProtectCnt--; \ if (globalCommProtectCnt == 0U) \ { \ nrf_drv_gpiote_in_event_enable(ST25R_INT_PIN, true); \ } \ }while(0) #define platformProtectST25RIrqStatus() platformProtectST25RComm() #d

I use PC3_C pin as an GPIO_Input, but when i debug it is flickering between 1 and 0 even without any connection to the pin. anyone knows what happened?this is the setup i useGPIO_InitStruct.Pin = Emergency_Pin;GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_INPUT;GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOC, &GPIO_InitStruct);HAL_SYSCFG_AnalogSwitchConfig(SYSCFG_SWITCH_PC3, SYSCFG_SWITCH_PC3_CLOSE);

I'm new to STMCubeIDE (I'm using the latest version, 1.10) and I've noticed that there's no highlight when an expression/variable on live expressions change its value.I'm used to IAR which highlights in red when a expression/variable changes its value while debugging.Is there a similar option for STMCubeIDE?

Hello, I'm designing a board based on the STM32H735IGK3 microcontroller in which I want to include two HyperBus / OctoSPI memories in multiplexed mode. For this kind of memories there is more avaiblity on 1.8V power supply, but reading the documentation of the microcontroller, I'm not sure if I can power it without lose performance. I plan to use the included SMPS to optimice the power consumption, but I understand that if I use VDD=1.8V I can't  use the VOS1 and VOS0 modes, right? Best regards.

HI ,I have one requirement, i.e I need to implement animation using touchGFX tool. I have 7 images as part animation each image has to change in different interval. challenge here is below each image there is one more image which indicates the progress of animation. meaning I have image below that image there is dot(.) image. it's like Bold dot and normal dot (. .). as above image changes below dot image (bold dot) also must change. basically, image and bold dot has to change at same instant.I tried my best but there is always some lag between main image and dot image. could anybody help me that how can i synchronise this so that user can feel both main image and dot change at same instant(meaning at same time)Regrds,jsalg

Where I can find the document of M41T0 device marking?

Does the STM32 ST-LINK utility work with Windows 11??

Hi,So for my custom application I am currently testing with the NFC08A1 board and need to write my own firmware to manage the ST25R3916B IC's on the board. I have been able to implement AP2P between two boards but have not been able to get the board to read NFC-A/any tags yet. Memory is currently setup as in the attached image (I have attempted to set the required registers, but these may be incorrect/I may be missing some). My implementation currently attempts to read by first resetting RX gain, turning NFC initial field on (and wait for the relevant IRQ), clear FIFO, then Transmit REQA. I have tried dissecting the RFAL library but this would take too long so I was wondering if anyone had a working solution.Thanks in advance!

Citing from the STM32L431 manual:The debug pins are in AF pull-up/pull-down after reset:• PA15: JTDI in pull-up• PA14: JTCK/SWCLK in pull-down• PA13: JTMS/SWDAT in pull-up• PB4: NJTRST in pull-up• PB3: JTDO in floating state no pull-up/pull-downLet's take PA15 as an example. What happens if RDP level is set to level 2 (debug interface disabled). Will the debug pin pulls still be active?

Hi,I bought the STEVAL-STWINKT1B hoping to be able to store and plot real-time data from my accelerometer, both in the time domain and in the frequency domain (performing FFT) for the purpose of developing my project. I bought it thinking that it would provide a more ready-to-use solution to collect this data and analyze it in real-time. Can it really do that with USB streaming? I would like to connect it via USB, give the command to start, continuously store the data, and see the generated graph in real-time, similar to a serial plotter. And when I want to stop, I would give the command to stop. Can someone please help me?Thanks!Best regards,Thales Vignoli

Used STM32CubeIDE version: 1.12.0Used driver library: STM32Cube_FW_U5_V1.2.0I noticed a bug in initialization code of CRS, when low-level drivers are used. The bug is located in the function SystemClock_Config():Instead ofLL_APB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB1_GRP1_PERIPH_CRS);the code generator inserts the lineLL_AHB3_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB1_GRP1_PERIPH_CRS);
