I built a project from within TouchGFX and clicked the Run on Target button. Unfortunately, I forgot to plug STLink into my target board so programming failed. I connected STLink and clicked the Run on Target button again and it went and compiled ALL source code again before downloading it to my board - why does it do this ???Andy

See Attached Downloaded  from  web site as directed ;however download  looks nothing like folder in the  tutorial ;Placed comments in the comment section of the tutorial - so far no response - I asked for file structure as viewed in the tutorial . Download several times -same issue -Is this a corrupt  folder or is there a way of activating the file - Cube MX ( located in the workspace )does not respond  either using F103,F446,F750   hardware however  the issue is with the  Interface of cube IDE and the folder ( file )

I am doing a LoRaWAN project on the STM32WLE and so I want to power it down in Stop2 mode to lower the power consumption.Using the following code, this works fine : UTILS_ENTER_CRITICAL_SECTION(); // mask interrupts if (applicationEventBuffer.isEmpty() && loraWanEventBuffer.isEmpty()) { // If no events are pending in any of the eventBuffers... HAL_SuspendTick(); // stop Systick HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); // go into Sleep - STOP2 HAL_ResumeTick(); // re-enable Systick } // UTILS_EXIT_CRITICAL_SECTION(); // re-enable interruptsHowever, when some of my other code uses UTILS_ENTER_CRITICAL_SECTION(); to make things thread safe between the main thread and the interrupt-handlers, the device does not stay into Stop2 but wakes up immediately..Commenting out the UTILS_ENTER_CRITICAL_SECTION();  UTILS_EXIT_CRITICAL_SECTION(); it works as it should, but then the code is not thread safe anymore... Here's what those macro's are doing (utiliti

We want to compare the performance of LSM6DSV16BX and ISM330DLC,to do this we need bias instability and random walk of both gyro and accelerometer. Unfortunately these parameters are not specified in datasheet, Please sent us the parameters bias instability and random walk of both gyro and acclerometer to define or calculate the position drift.

Hi..  Im working on an application attempting to use the LPS22HHTR.  I see in the specs the table of absolute max ratings, but I wasn't able to find a parameter for the low end.  In this application there can be occasions where the line falls below 260 hPa for brief periods.  I am not concerned about being able to get a reading at these levels but rather an understanding how far into vacuum ( or below 260hPa) the device can go before failure.  Any guidance is appreciated.  Thanks.

I want to send an array of integers over UART in one go. I was able to do this using for loop as below. But I want to do it without for loop as it is taking time to send over UART. How to send the integer data over UART in one go?This is the data I want to send

Hello,I would like to know if there are people who have already configured the SAI PORT to communicate with a CODEC ?I configured like this :But I don't have the clock on the PIN PF7 :The SAI_MCLK_B is the curve in blue. Thank you for your helps.Regards.

Hi!I am using a Nucleo-L476RG / X-Nucleo-IKS01A3 / STEVAL-MKI1197V1 setup to get into the LSM6DSO and LSM6DSOX. I did some tests with both of them based on Algobuilder and Unicleo with the DataLogExtended example.I recognized the following: When I use an interrupt to generate a data-ready signal the frequency of the INT is not exactly matching my ODR configuration.I tested with 52hz ODR and for the LSM6DSO the rising edge of the interrupt is generated at about 50.7hz and for the LSM6DSOX the interrupt is generated at about 49.5hzI did those measurements with a Chip Timer and with a logic analyzer with high performance mode enabled on the sensor.I could not find information in the datasheet about the precision of the ODR or the interrupt. Can you confirm that there is a difference between the configured and the actual ODR? If yes, is there information about the potential range? Or is there maybe something that I did not configure properly?Best wishes,Dominik

Hello,How can I activate SWV for debugging via ST-Link and SWD?

I am currently using a mix of ST25R3916 and ST25R3916B with ST25RFAL002 v2.8.0.In the default analog config table for the 3916 (rfalAnalogConfigTbl.h), under CHIP_INIT, there is an undocumented register that is being configured:0x84U, 0x10, 0x10          /* Avoid chip internal overheat protection */This does not appear in the default analog config table for the 3916B.  It seems like disabling overheat protection is probably not what is intended since I don't see anything in the errata about any issues with overheat protection.  That is just my assumption though, so I wanted to get some clarification on why this was being configured.

The project I am working on presently need to capture dc voltage with precision of 1mv. I am using STM32f446RE development board. As mentioned in the datasheet STM32F446RE have inbuilt ADC of 12-bit resolution and reference voltage is 3.3v. Thus theoretical resolution is 3.3/2^12 = 0.0008056640625 is expected, but I am getting the voltage fluctuations of about 25mV. Please let me know how what the best resolution is possible using inbuilt ADC and also the means

I am using MCSDK 5.Y.4 and add position loop.My controller sends a position command every 4ms.err=target_pos - current_pos,then the err value (multiply by P) is the speed loop pid input. But I found that the speed is not smooth when the motor changes direction. There is a lag problem between the current position curve and the target position of the position loop.My position loop only uses P control, no I.

Dear Friends, Edited:I have a bootloader that I made via I2C through the mailbox of an ST25DV04.The bootloader works fine, it is able to save in the flash the whole content of the hex file (valid data).I have added vector table remapping in my "blink" application as indicated in the following post:https://community.st.com/t5/embedded-software-mcus/how-to-boot-to-random-address-without-vect-tab-offset-stm32f072/m-p/170236#M10247 The problem is that when I go to launch the application the program goes to HardFault_Handler and I can't figure out why.The code I use to jump into my application: static void runApp() { typedef void (*pFunction)(void); pFunction Jump_To_Application; uint32_t JumpAddress; HAL_I2C_MspDeInit(&hi2c1); HAL_DeInit(); /* Jump to user application */ JumpAddress = *(__IO uint32_t*) (APP_START + 4); Jump_To_Application = (pFunction) JumpAddress; /* Initialize user application's Stack Pointer */ __set_MSP(*(__IO uint32_t*) APP_START); /

I use STM32 ST-LINK Utility   to do NUCLEO‑H503RB programming bin file, and the result is that I can’t connect. How to solve it?

Hi I am creating project by enabling uart3, when write some data on UART3 there is no output on UART_Tx pin.please let me know any configuration m I missing while creating new project.thanks in advanceAmol Chor

My goal now is to understand how ADC works.I know that with the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA function, I can easily read data from multiple pins. Now I want to set up data transfer from pins in semi-automatic mode, without the HAL_ADC_Start_DMA function.I know how to do it when sConfig.Rank == 1https://controllerstech.com/stm32-adc-multi-channel-without-dma/ My task is to transfer data from several pins when sConfig.Rank is greater than 1.In Cube MX this parameter is called: Number of Conversion.-----------------------------------------------Scan Conversion Mode enabled. In the while loop, I set up the sequence in the ADC_SQR3 register: Channel Five, First RanksConfig.Channel = ADC_CHANNEL_5;sConfig.Rank = 1; Channel six, second ranksConfig.Channel = ADC_CHANNEL_6;sConfig.Rank = 2; (The code is a little more complicated of course, I write the most important thing so as not to complicate.)A sequence appears in the ADC_SQR3 register. But when I then write HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(

Hi,  anyone tells me how to design a 24vdc to 15vdc  buck converter using viper26ld?

Hi,I use the SWV Profiling tool quite a lot towards the end of my projects to "fine tune" the speed and efficiency of my code. i.e. what code to run from ram, whether to use cacheing, find inefficient algorithms etc.It would be handy to export the Profile window to excel or some other similar tool to compare runs with different configurations.Does anyone know if this is possible. RegardsRob

BTW, what is the forum to ask general programming questions on STM32 architecture?STM32F103C8TxI have two timer interrupt routines, sharing thevoid HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef* htim)call. Depending on which handle is passed, I process the code for TIM1 or TIM3.When I enter TIM3 code A0,A1,A2,and A3 of port GPIOA are set to all 1. I achieved this by the statementGPIOA->ODR=0xffff on initialization and whenever I exit the ISR. On entry I set GPIOA->ODR=0xffff&(~1)(the 1 is a rotating pattern that sets A0-A3).Now I want to toggle A4 in the code for TIM1 without affecting bits A0-A3 and A4 shouldn't be affected during the manipulation of A0-A3 in the code for TIM3.How can I achieve this if at all?

I am trying to develop a HID and UAC Composite Device with STM32G491.I was proceeding with the implementation with reference to I-CUBE-USBD-Composite, but although it is recognized as a Composite Device from Windows 11, a problem like this occurs and I cannot find a solution, so I try porting the Composite_Audio_HID.I succeeded in building it with STM32CubeIDE, but when I executed it on my board, I got a HardFault_Error when USB_WritePMA() was called in the middle of USBD_LL_SetupStage().My project is available here. Please let me know if you have any advice.

I have recently developed a USB Compoite (HID Keyborad & Audio Speaker) device using the STM32G491.I have been able to have it recognized as a Composite Device in the Windows 11 Device Manager, and I have been able to input keys and play PC sound from a codec (Analog Devices ADAU1761) via SAI.However, there is one problem. I can't get any input from the PC side even if I call USBD_HID_SendReport by pressing a key while the PC is playing sound. The audio processing is done by calling HAL_SAI_Transmit in AUDIO_PeriodicTC_FS in usbd_audio_if.c as follows.  static int8_t AUDIO_PeriodicTC_FS(uint8_t *pbuf, uint32_t size, uint8_t cmd) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 5 */ UNUSED(cmd); //SEGGER_RTT_printf(0, "size = %d\n", size); HAL_SAI_Transmit(&hsai_BlockB1, pbuf, size / 2, 0x0000FFFF); return (USBD_OK); /* USER CODE END 5 */ }  USBD_HID_SendReport is sent when a keystroke is detected in the while loop in the main function. The source code is available at here. The De

Somehow I'm blinded at the moment. How do I simply add a file from the filesystem into the project ?I created a header file "times.h", put it into ~/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.4.0/project/Core/Inc. Now it sits there. Opening the tree view, I don't see it. Clicking "New" I don't see an option to import a file. Only create new ones.Ah, now, I tried "Refresh" and it's there. Soemhow counterintuitive. But probably this is owed to Eclipse?

Hello, I have this problem with the I2C channel of the STM32F103C8T6 (original), the SDA and SCL signal have very steep rise times, and the slave devices do not recognize the commands. In the image you can see that the SDA has more than 1.5us rise when it should be in the 100ns range, and the same happens with the SCL. The design has 4K7 pull-up resistors, although I also tried 2K2, 3K3, 10K, and the result is similar or worse. I did a test with 470 resistors, and the signal is better but it is not a correct value for i2c. (The image is only the STM32F103 and the resistors, it does not have the lead connected, to rule out problems with it.)

Dear All,Now I know that the ic ST25R3917B support Apple ECP.Here are my new questions:1. Can i get some guide files of Apple ECP for developing terminal product based on ST25R3917B?2. Should I gat Apple's authorization before sending authorization request to ST?※Already applied for Apple's authorization, but I think it will take a while time.3. I know that it needs some authorization procedures. If I am missing any procedure or information, please let me know thanks.Ken
