Hi all,I want to start a project with NFC for smart locks. I don't have experience in NFC. Could anyone please help me select NFC IC for the below requirement?1. smart door lock system.2. lock and unlock with only smartwatch and mobile, not with cardsThanks,Aravind

Hello,I am brand new to STM32 parts.I have a STM32F407G-DISC1 eval board and am using STM32CubeIDE version 1.13.1. I am trying to get the FatFs_USBDisk application working with the board. Unfortunately MCSDK is not available for Linux. So I have installed it on a virtual machine. But the application "Motor Pilot" doesn't work. It even doesn't start.I have tried with MCSDK 6.1.1 and 6.1.0, with Windows 11 and Windows 7, withOracle VM VirtualBox and virt-manager / libvirt. In all cases the application "Motor Profiler" doesn't start.Has anybody got MCSDK working in a virtual machine?Update:Finally I got it working. Motor Profiler and Motor Pilot require 3D Acceleration support. 3D Acceleration from VirtualBox and virt-manager don't work properly with those applications. Some parts of the screens are shown upside down.Solution with VirtualBox:Deactivating VirtualBox 3D Acceleration and selecting Graphic Controller VMSVGA. Hey guys and gals!Just received the STM32G031 Discovery Kit with the stm32g031j6m6 chip in the SO8 package. The thing is all my   attempts to program it failed. When the usb cable is plugged in a 'drive' connects where there are two files:1. DETAILS.TXT containing (probably) a result after the ST-LINK firmware update: "Version: V2J42M27Build: Mar 7 2023 17:19:20"2. FAIL.TXT containing "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU"When attempting to upload a "blinky" code (a new project, just flipping the LED) the process fails with"""Target no device foundError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: No device found on target."""Having read through numerous posts even this one did not help: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcu-products/solved-stm32g031j6-disco-can-no-longer-program-the-chip-no/m-p/98007 Jumper IDD (JP1) is in position. The user led (LD2) flashes in regular intervals but with no effect from the user button (as mentioned in the pdf document).I

The TF-A Makefile.sdk creates a small metadata.bin file for each type of boot (USB, SD-cARD, EMMC)1/ How to generates this outside of Makefile.sdk  ? I use this, but is only generates one file and there seems no parameter for the type of the boot device;TF_A_METADATA_JSON=plat/st/stm32mp1/default_metadata.jsontools/fwu_gen_metadata/fwumd_tool.py jsonparse $TF_A_METADATA_JSON -b build/stm32mp1/metadata.bin2/ Is the file the same for each device different or can it be used for SD, EMMC, USB  etc.. ?3/ is there a specification for the format of this file ?4/ is there a tool to enumerate the entries and their values in of this file ?

HI Sir,we have applied L7987 and L7987L on our touch display computer,we don't have enough stock for nowis there any substitued parts availablethanks? With best regards，PZ

Hello, I would like to know the distortion of TDA7297 at 40kHz~80kHz. If it's distortion may over 1%, please give some alternatives. Thanks.Reference: https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/tda7297.pdf

Hello,so in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZrfZNrA2roIt is stated that the main thing is that with CMSIS 0S2 wrapper I can call the RTOS api of Arm and beyond that I can use either FreeRTOS or ThreadX. So it is very useful for to switch from a current implementation with for example FreeRTOS to a new implementation with ThreadX.But I am not sure how does it work. I have a project where I used in the Cube MX the FreeRTOS middleware and added FreeRTOS functions in my main.c Now when I want to switch to ThreadX how do I benefit from the wrapper?I assumed I need to initialize a new project and write the implementation with ThreadX from scratch?

What does the micro sd card contain which is given with stm32mp135f-dk ??

I have this board with a large (91x119mm) surrounding it. There is circuitry including the ST25R95 in the middle, but it has quite some clearance to the antenna. Matching network is calculated using the ST excel sheets. Now I can get it to read NFC stickers, but only if I put them right on the matching network. Before I do a big investigation into the antenna and matching network, what are the parameters I can adjust in the ST25R95 that effect reception strength?I see chapter 5.1.1 in the datasheet " Improving RF performance " mention Modulation index and receiver gain. Are those the two parameters I should be looking at? Are there more?

Hi,while doing a symbol for the Nucleo in KiCad I found that the Pin CN7.14 should be PA7 instead PB5.The sub-note (3) is correct.Best regardsMarco

Hello,I am using Cube32MX for STM32H743bi IO multiplexing. first i added USB HS phy ULPI interface then see FDCAN2 not allowed in the tool and error message says it is in conflict with USB ULPI. However i manually checked there were certain pins for CAN2 classic and even FD available.I want to know whether it s some bug or there is some internal MCU sharing between these two that i am unaware of. Else several options are available for FDCAN2 after consuming USB ULPI.thnx

I am running the motor control workbench B-G431B-ESC1 board. The systick fires at every 2K frequency as per the user manual and the waveform matches when i toggle, but the problem is sometimes it misses as shownI want to debug and find out why it misses those timings in between. Please suggest how do i find out? I am also running CAN in parallel at 500KBPS.

Posted on October 20, 2017 at 07:13 I have a brand-new STM32F303 Nucleo144 and cannot get any CubeMX generated apps to work with USB. The app builds and runs fine, and I can see printf output via SWO, but the device never evenbegins enumeration. Hello. I am new to STM32F030F4P6TR programming, so I am asking for your help. You need to write a simple program to light up the LEDs depending on the voltage. But I have some problems with the ADC. To begin with, I wrote a simple program that flashes the LED and everything worked. After that, I turned on the ADC on the PB1 port in the cube. The program is downloaded to the microcontroller. But it was not executing and the LED was not blinking. I tried to check through the debugger and I got this while executing SystemClock_Config(); Microcontroller overloaded. I have been following mastering stm32 book for a while now and checking out the tutorials from the st channel.I was following the dac tutorial and I had a problem with outputting analog signals in pin A4.I use eclipse IDE and i am imporing cube-mx files to the default stm project created in eclipse with a tool called CubeMXImporter. So far, i didn't have any problem with the tool so I really don't know the reason.my main.c file and hal_msp file is attached below if you would like to take a look. include "main.h" /* Private includes ----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN Includes */ /* USER CODE END Includes */ /* Private typedef -----------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PTD */ /* USER CODE END PTD */ /* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ /* USER CODE END PD */ /* Private macro ------------------------------------------------------

I have a STM32F405 with a coin cell on VBAT and I haven't been able to get the Backup SRAM or RTC to preserve contents when removing main power.  The same code works fine on another board that has a STM32F407. //Works on STM32F407 - Fails on STM32F405 backup_SRAM_data_t* backup_SRAM_data_ptr = (backup_SRAM_data_t*)BKPSRAM_BASE; //Enable backup SRAM __HAL_RCC_BKPSRAM_CLK_ENABLE(); HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); HAL_PWREx_EnableBkUpReg(); printf("[%u] Read = %u\n", (unsigned int)HAL_GetTick(), (unsigned int)backup_SRAM_data_ptr->test_var); backup_SRAM_data_ptr->test_var = 7; printf("[%u] Write = %u\n", (unsigned int)HAL_GetTick(), (unsigned int)backup_SRAM_data_ptr->test_var); printf("[%u] Read = %u\n", (unsigned int)HAL_GetTick(), (unsigned int)backup_SRAM_data_ptr->test_var);  Adding an enable of the PWR clock doesn't fix it - that's already done in SystemClock_Config(), which is called earlier in the code. //Still fails on STM32F405 //Enable backu

Hello Community, I am currently working with a stm32f302rc microcontroller, I need to configure my ADC2 to measure the reference voltage of operating amplifier 2 (Vrefopamp2) (it is internally connected to channel 17 of the ADC).I need this to check if the ADC is working correctly, so the measured value needs to be compared with the expected value. And the problem is that I can't find the operating voltage range in which to expect the reference voltage. The datasheet only contains information about Vrefint, are they the same thing?

Some STM32's have VDD and VDDUSB. Setting VDD to 1.8V and VDDUSB to 3.3V, the GPIOs work at 1.8 V, and USB keeps working (the USB transceiver needs 3.3V). Each time, there is a note that VDDUSB has to be the last power supply to be active when powering up, and VDDUSB has to be the first power supply to disappear when powering down. Examples:STM32F412 datasheet, Figure 6. VDDUSB connected to an external independent power supplySTM32WB55 datasheet, Figure 6. Power-up/down sequenceDoes ST have any suggestions or schematic for sequencing power supplies that supply 1.8V and 3.3V, and comply with the requirements for STM32 mcu's? TPS70351? The F412 NUCLEO board has VDD and VDDUSB connected, so that is no help.

Hello,I tried copying BSP and Utils folders from "Repository/STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.27.1" into my project, I included them in "Paths and symbols" project settings too. When trying to build the code, I encountered a lot of compiler errors of symbols not being defined, for example symbols like:- DFSDM_CHANNEL_SPI_FALLINGI then attempted to edit the "stm32f4xx_hal_conf.h" (following advice from this thread) and uncommented the following line:/* #define HAL_DFSDM_MODULE_ENABLED */Now I'm facing bunch of errors due to lack of "stm32f4xx_hal_dfsdm.h" file which I can't find anywhere. Is there anyone who can successfully use BSP lcd functions for the STM32F412G-Discovery board and would be willing to share what is the process of getting it to work using STM32CubeIDE?I attached the file I'm trying to compile in case if anyone would like to take a look.

I am creating a battery powered NFC Reader PCB that has an STM32L4 and some buttons and LEDs on board. The main task should be to read passive NFC tags, but I also want to be able to charge the reader itself wirelessly via WLC. I read a lot of documentation of the ST25R and ST25D family of products, but I only found the use case of powering a ST25D Tag and use its energy harvesting capability to charge a battery. My question is if there is an existing product that is able to read passive NFC cards as well as be charred via WLC? Or is a battery powered NFC reader a bad Idea to begin with.

Maybe someone has idea how to display PDF file in custom PCB tablet?
