Hi everyone,I recently build a custom PCB with a stm32f405, but every time I try to connect to it with a stlink v2 it gives an error. Target no device foundError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: No device found on target. I already managed to program a stm32 blue pill with the stlink, so I am starting to think the problem lies in my PCB.Thanks in advance.

Using Application Note AN5361 and a Online ST Video. I have create a project in STM32CubeIDE for the STM32H747I-Disco Board. As a test of the debugging, I have have both cores simply blinking separate LEDs.I set up the CM7 debug configuration  per AN5361 and did not check "Halt all cores" on Reset.  Debugging with the CM7 project, runs the application on the board without issue. I am able to set a break point in the CM7's main.c and step through the code. If I set a break point in CM4's main.c, nothing happens. The CM4 is not loaded in the debugger at all. The online video made the suggestion to check "Halt all cores" on Reset ion the CM7's debug configuration. I created a Launch Group to start debug both projects. Starting debug starts up both projects as expected. The debugger stops at the CM7 main break point. Click continue, and the debugger stops at the CM4 main break point at the line for:__HAL_RCC_HSEM_CLK_ENABLE(); If I click continue, the program

Hi!    I have working on the watch Dog implementation in STM32F446RET6.The board which I have used is NUCLEO-F446RET6.I have followed the below mentioned steps,      1. Enabled the IWDG in system core using CubeMX of STM32CubeIDE. (which takes the LSI frequency for the IWDG as 32KHz in Clock Configuration.)      2. In Parameters settings of IWDG, Set the Pre-scalar divider as 256 and the down counter reload value as 4095 which are the maximum values to produce the time out of 32.768 seconds as per the reference manual.     I have theoretically calculated the duration using the formula,                                        IWDG_Time= [(Reload Value+1)*(Pre-scalar value)]/ LSI frequency    &

Hi,I am working on project using ZephyrOS and I am trying to link in and use some of your motion libraries.I have successfully linked but the call to MotionAC_GetLibVersion() is returning zero. Looking at assember in my debugger a variable is being tested at the start of that routine "licenses_ok". This leads to the call exiting. What must I do to use the library? Are any license files necessary; I thought the libs were free to be used if you are using ST chipsets?Regards,Owain

Hi, I'm trying to find adress space for not memory mapped 16MB NOR.I have external PSRAM IS66WVE4M16EBLL + NOR MT28EW128ABA1LPC-0SIT with STM32H753ZIT6. They are both on the same bus:FMC: NOR 0x60000000,PSRAM 0x68000000. Not using MPU. I use raw addresses of PSRAM as memory mapped, and HAL functions to transfer data to NOR. I tested memory integrity, R/W - all fine.So far I had TouchGFX running with internal FLASH for graphics + doublebuffers in external PSRAM - it was working fine with stable 32 FPS @ 480 x 272px RGB565.Now I want to use external FLASH for storing graphics. Seems it is not memory mapped so I started with this article and to cache most of graphics to external PSRAM and faced this section:"In this example we will put the image data in the ExtFlashSection at address 0x24000000. You can select any address that is otherwise unused (not part of the code or data address space)."I grab 288k of RAM_D2 to test (0x30000000) as unused address space. Then

Hey all,I’ve recently encountered an issue with setting up the CAN module on my STM32F4 and hope that someone is able to help me:After buying the SN65HVD230 CAN Board, I tried to set up the MCU so it can communicate with the CAN Bus. For that I soldered cables to IO 1 and 2 on my Dev Board and changed their setup in the STM32MX configurator. I was able to detect signals going in and out on the Tx and Rx line as well as on CANH and CANL. So there should be no problem with the wiring. My problem is with the configuration of the CAN message itself. The message doesn’t seem to be able to be configured, meaning that any way I try, it doesn’t change the message that actually gets transmitted. For example the ID is always set to 0x7FE or the TxHeader.DLC parameter is always set to 3.I was able to narrow the problem down to the CAN register. The necessary code meant to write into the registers doesn't seem to alter the data int the register at all. While in debug mode I went step by step throug

Greetings,I'm having trouble porting the existing CubeMX configuration to a pinout compatible MCU.I'm using STM32H745IIK6 and trying to change it to STM32H755IIK6 following the instructions on page 287. of UM1718 Rev 34 ("Tutorial 5: Exporting current project configuration to a compatible MCU"). But, when I select the MCU and click "OK, Import", I get the following error:The existing CubeMX configuration loads fine and I can modify and save things, but when I try to do this MCU change, that error occurs. Is there any fix to this, since it would be pretty annoying to have to manually copy everyting from the existing CubeMX configuration?I'm using version 6.2.1.BR,Domagoj

Hi, I am new to STM32. I have a STM32H723 nuncleo board where I want to sample 8 bit data from the on-board ADC at the maximum frequency of 3.6 MHz. Then I want to directly transfer the data to a SD card using DMA with SPI. Preferably I would want to add a timestamp to each sample, where this can get tricky to combine with the use of DMA.ADC -> Memory + adding timestamp (As a buffer)Memory -> micro SD card I need some tips and tricks how to do this, and if it is even possible to do at these speeds. Thanks for all answers!

In the STM32L562 reference manual (RM0438), v7.0, the section 11.6.13 "GPIO register map" is missing the registers MODER and PUPDR (which are documented in the preceding sections).

Is it possible to transfer large data files, meaning bigger than the internal memory of the tag?The intended purpose is to have a stm32 connected to an i²c dynamic tag and be able to write large files, like a new firmware, to the stm32 MCU. The problem is, that I couldn't find documentation if it is possible to simultaneously read the data via i²c which is currently written to the tag via NFC. If not possible in a continues stream, reading in chunks would be a viable alternative. As long as it is possible to do in one NFC "Session". That would allow a 0 port device that can be sealed towards the environment.

Hi Team,We are using LD1086DT33TR regulator to generate 3.3V output from 5V input, But the the maximum dropout voltage given in the datasheet is 1.5V.Our dropout voltage is 1.7V (5V - 3.3V =1.7V) which is exceeding the max dropout voltage of the IC mentioned in datasheet ,My question is whether this IC is suitable for our requirement or we need to look for alternative.RegardsTejas

Hello,I'm planning to use the STM32G474 to read a pulse width. This width is a delay value in nanoseconds.I'm wondering if there is any possibility to use the High resolution timer (HRTIM) for that operation.I would use the events to trigger a rising (set the timer) & falling edge (reset the timer) and then read the value to get the width (delay) of my pulse signal. If anyone has an idea, it could be helpful :)Kind regards,Chris

Hello, i am working on the STM32MP157C to use its ADCs. at first i was only using the iio framwork on linux , however it is limited. so i'm trying the examples on the (github page) using the Linux Remoteproc . my board configuration is different since that i'm using OSD32MP1-brk. I am using the SWD to debug the MPU using ST-link V2 as shown in the figure 1.Figure1: ST-LINK V2 USB Dongle ProgrammerNow after compiling the code and Loading the compiled ELF firmware in the remote processor memory using the cube mx ide and the provided shell scrip in the example it seems to run without issues. how ever i have no indication of what the ADCs are doing, with the debugger i was only using engineering mode to compile and load it to the M4 but then linux isn't running so the variables are showing empty... I don't know if i'm doing the right thing or not since i'm not using the development board that was originaly used for the examples. since that i have i different pin mapping in the device

Is there an example or link where I can see the code for STM32F407IG Ethernet (UDP) communication?https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubef4.htmlI tried LWIP (UDP) communication by looking at the example in the link, but can you tell me why it doesn't connect?Error : lwip.c -> ethernetif_set_link(&gnetif);  An error occurs in this part. Could you please tell me a function or method that can be used instead?

Does a product that includes a ST25DV need to meet the requirements of the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU I have developed a product that has a ST25DVKC included. I am looking at the compliance necessary to put this on the market. I have 2 "Test Houses" that give me different opinions on the need to comply with RED. The question seems to be over whether the ST25DVKC is classed as a "Passive Tag" or not. Can anyone give me some clear guidance on this?

I am using the SBSFU STM32CubeExpansion_SBSFU_V2.6.2 version for my custom board STM32H743VI controller. I have ported the STM32H7B3I-DK project for H743 controller for COM port and changed the crypto scheme to SECBOOT_ECCDSA_WITHOUT_ENCRYPT_SHA256. I am getting below logs and hangs. It hangs in the below code,SE_ErrorStatus SE_VerifyHeaderSignature(SE_StatusTypeDef *peSE_Status, SE_FwRawHeaderTypeDef *pxFwRawHeader){ SE_ErrorStatus e_ret_status; uint32_t primask_bit; /*!< interruption mask saved when disabling ITs then restore when re-enabling ITs */ /* Check if the call is coming from SFU code */ __IS_SFU_RESERVED();#ifdef SFU_ISOLATE_SE_WITH_MPU if (0x0U != SE_IsUnprivileged()) {  TRACE("\r\n inside privilege");  uint32_t params[1] = {(uint32_t)pxFwRawHeader};  SE_SysCall(&e_ret_status, SE_CRYPTO_HL_AUTHENTICATE_METADATA, peSE_Status, &params);  TRACE("\r\n after secall"); }After SE_SysCall() call,

Hi there!   We are developing a new STM32WL based product that must be compatible with the existing STM32L0 + S2-LP products.   It appears that the GFSK data whitening algorithm is different(?). I used an SDR dongle to sniff the raw bytes transmitted over the air.   A 4 byte packet is transmitted with the following content (in HEX; before data whitening): PREAMBLE: 55 55 55 55 SYNC: 93 0B 51 DE LEN: 04 DATA: AA BB CC DD   The packet transmitted over the air by the S2-LP is (after data whitening): PREAMBLE: 55 55 55 55 SYNC: 93 0B 51 DE LEN: FB DATA: 4B A6 56 30   The packet transmitted over the air by the STM32WL is (after data whitening): PREAMBLE: 55 55 55 55 SYNC: 93 0B 51 DE LEN: FB DATA: 2D 03 95 6A   So the LEN field is correct but the DATA is different. I have looked at section 7.10 of the S2-LP datasheet and section 6.2.3.4 of the SX1261/2 datasheet but can't figure out the difference.   The STM32WL whitening seed is set to 0x1FF (alll ones) w

Hi,I am using STM32H747. I have successfully write&read micro sd card over SDMMC2 peripheral while debugging. But after debugging, when I power cycle or reset the board, I am not able to use sd card. I see FatFS open file failing. The board is arduino portenta H7, which has its own custom bootloader, so I flash my code on address 0x08040000 and it boots ok. I use CubeIDE. The only thing which does not work after reset is SDMMC strangely. Anyone has encountered this issue?Best regards

I am trying a PWM output with jumper connectors.when mains fail(input supply)PWM is on indicated by a lamp and OFF when there is a supply .in between if the supply is OFF and Lamp is in ON there is a jumper connect to PA6 (input)of stm32c011f6p6.if the input is set to 1 it should make the PWM with half duty cycle.I couldn't understand that my half duty cycle part is blinking once the input supply OFF and PA6 is set till the input supply is 0.1 and below 0.1 its getting stable half duty cycle. can one find the error I made please. Mains is input supply 1.5v Vbat is 0.9v 12 Mhz internal clock can one find the error I made please. if (Mains > 0.1) { if ((Mains < 1) && (Vbat > 0.9)) { TIM1->CCR4 = TIM1->ARR; HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_4); Set_LED(0); //Batt_Chrge(0); HAL_Delay(100); } else if (Mains > 1) { TIM1->CCR4 = 0; HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_4); HAL_Delay

Still trying to get a custom board with a STM32MP151AAC and 512MB ram to boot from eMMC. Switched to using this guide. After various new issues (one of them being this), I managed to bitbake a set that I'm able to fully program with CubeProgrammer. However, that was the only good news about that. Hello,I'm developping a Zigbee firmware for a custom board embedding a STM32WB MCU. So I'm using STM32CubeMX application to configure my card and the Zigbee middleware. For some reason, I need to understand how the differents Zigbee functions work and unfortunately, I only have the header files. So, my question is : How can I obtain the Zigbee source files ?Sincerely, Evandzd
