Hi ST Micro Team,Can I connect ST25RU3993 Single Chip UHF RFID to ESP32 board & read/write the Tags? Do I have to use any library for this? Please suggest.RegardsShashank

Hello everyone,I have a UHF reader board which design based on as3993 and controlled by CC430F6137. I'm try to set ST25RU3993 reading frequency between 869400Mhz and 869650Mhz. How can I achive this goal?Thank you

HelloI would like to understand the EDMK (Encryption Decryption Master Key). This key is used to decrypt and encrypt BL2 and FIP binaries. Are there any other application of this key? For example, can it be used for LUKS ?Is it possible to access some API to encrypt/decrypt using this key? Or is it reserved to the ROM code? Thanks

Hello, I was experiencing this weird thing lately with my STM32 Blue Pill board's COM Port.I'm using STM32duino (Blue Pill) with Arduino IDE. I've Already flashed the bootloader and installed the drivers for it. when i connect the board with my PC using USB cable, it shows the port in Device Manager but when i disconnect the board and connect it again, it stops showing itself. when i install the drivers again only after that the port shows itself again and leave again when i reconnect the port again.Does Anyone Know What Might Be Causing This ? Any Help Is Appreciated. Please Do Reply If You Know Anything About My Issue ASAP.

I am using above settings and functions for RTC and One Alarm, also attached with this post as RTC_and_One_Second_Alarm_Setup_using_STM32hxxx.pdf, please review and let me know if you see any issue. Thanks in Advance.

Hello,I am using the LSM6DSOWTR sensor in a wearable device for step counting. As it's known, the LSM6DSO series features an advanced pedometer, step detector, and step counter.I'm observing many steps counted even when the user is not moving (false positives), and I'm comparing the counted steps with other market wearables (twice as other devices). The False-Positive Rejection feature is enabled for better results (PEDO_CMD_REG).The Pedometer Debounce Threshold is set to 50 to avoid false step detections (PEDO_DEB_STEPS_CONF).Despite the high value of the debounce threshold, I have noticed that in resting situations where the user is stationary (e.g., during office work or sleeping), the IMU counts quite a few false positive steps.I have thoroughly read the LSM6DSO datasheet and the AN5192 document. In section 6.1 of AN5192, Pedometer Functions: Step Detector and Step Counter, it mentions the operation of the pedometer functions, but I would like to clarify the following details:How can

HelloWe use a LIS2DW12 accelerometer to mesure tilt over a temperature range from -25°C to +70°C.We set the full scale to 2g and chose High Performance mode with Low Noise enabled. We want an accuracy of 0.5°, but we're observing a drift of the order of 40 mg on measured accelerations as a function of temperature (from 15° to 75°C), resulting in a drift of more than 2° on the tilt measurement. We want to correct the accelerations as a function of temperature, and so we have the following questions.- Is the drift the same on all 3 axes?- The data sheet states that the 0g offset drift is 0.2mg/°C, but according to our measurements this is not linear. Is it normal ?- Does the drift depend on the orientation of the sensor ?- What law should be applied to correct the accelerations measured according to temperature ?You will find in the enclosed file, the shape of the deltas of accelerations versus the temperature (the reference is 15° to calculate the deltas of accelerations)Thank you by adva

Hi,I am working with STM32G491RE in my project. I have to transmit data through UART and I need to calculate CRC for that data.in my application:txdata[0] = 0x78;txdata[1] = 0x04;txdata[2] = 0x11;txdata[3] = 0x01; I have to calculate CRC16 for txdata[1] to txdata[3] and place it in txdata[4]& txdata[5]. 1.I configured CRC parameters:hcrc.Instance = CRC;hcrc.Init.DefaultPolynomialUse = DEFAULT_POLYNOMIAL_ENABLE;hcrc.Init.DefaultInitValueUse = DEFAULT_INIT_VALUE_ENABLE;hcrc.Init.InputDataInversionMode = CRC_INPUTDATA_INVERSION_NONE;hcrc.Init.OutputDataInversionMode = CRC_OUTPUTDATA_INVERSION_DISABLE;hcrc.InputDataFormat = CRC_INPUTDATA_FORMAT_BYTES;if (HAL_CRC_Init(&hcrc) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}2. I am using following function to calculate CRCHAL_CRC_Calculate(&hcrc, (uint8_t *)txdata[1] ,3);is it correct way to do or need to change anything.Can anyone suggest. Thanks

Hi everyone,The version of FATFS (R0.12c) included in the latest H7 firmware package has a known bug in the f_unlink function which causes lost clusters on fragmented files of exFAT volumes. This results in the memory filling up, even if all files are deleted using f_unlink.The bug was introduced in R0.12c, and fixed in R0.13a as documented at FatFs - Updates and Migration Notes. However, this newer version is not included in the firmware package. From what I understand, migrating to a new version can involve updating the lower level code in the IO layer to match the newer FATFS versions.Does anyone have experience migrating the included FATFS code manually? Would simply updating the code for f_unlink be a suitable option?Thank you,Matt

Dear @Eleon BORLINI ,I’m currently using the I2S peripheral to acquire from a digital microphone. The I2S is configured as:24bits on 32bit data frame22kHz sampling frequencyand the pdm library is correctly configured and I’m able to convert a single sample (uint16 m) at a time and stream it. The pdm buffer is 16 (uint16) used as circular buffer by the dma.My question is where is the relation between the 24bits in 32bit data frame and the pcm converted sample, which is always on 16bits (uint16). Am I loosing precision in this way?I don’t see any difference in setting the i2s with 24/32 on 32bit data frame since I’m only obtaining 16bit pcm samples. is there some configuration that I’m missing? Could it be the pInternalMemory[…] variable in the pdm configuration struct?thanks a lot

The STM32CubeMX AI tool has an option to compress a model. Is there any way to get compression to work on an quantized model? I'm guessing the answer is no because when I try with a .tflite or .onnx model it complains that only float or double is supported. If there is any way to get model compression to work with an integer model I would appreciate some tips on how that might be done.

I am unable to install the STM32 device packages required by the setup of the Embedded Coder Support Package for STMicroelectronics STM32 Processors.Based on my investigation, this error seems to originate with the STM32 CubeMX software. The hardware setup steps download and setup the required software using STM32 CubeMX, and here there is an error when STM32 CubeMX does so.The Error I get from Install STM32Cube Firmware is :Installation of STM32Cube firmware failed with the following error:[ERROR] AnalyticsContext:980 - The ST intranet updater server is unknown: mcucrossselector.codex.cro.st.com[ERROR] ServerAccessManage:1058 - Problem during Server Connexion : IO error PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target[ERROR] ServerAccessManage:537 - Problem during Server Connexion : : updaters.zip.[ERROR] ServerAccessManage:1058 - Problem during Server Connexion : IO error PKIX path

Hi guys,The schematics for STM32MP15x-EVAL board (MB1263) uses a level shifter for SDcard from NXP (IP4856CX25) that is now obsolete. I found 2 close alternatives:ST6G3244MEBJR from ST, with one pin only (C4) different from IP4856TXS0206YFPR from TI, with 5 pins less then IP4856Questions:Is it possible to use the ST6G3244 from ST replacing the IP4856CX25 from NXP? If so, is it a direct replacement (with pin C4 of STG3244 tied to GND)?I noticed that the NXP part has a wider host side voltage range up to 3V3 than the ST part. I don't have the MB1263 board here to measure, so I need to know what is the Voh of the SDcard lines in STM32MP157 in MB1263. Can anyone help me on this?Is it possible to use the TXS0206 from Texas which have a wider host side voltage range compatible with 3V3?Is there any other alternative to replace the IP4856CX25 from NXP?Thank you guys in advance for any light on this topic.

I'm trying to get to know stm32mp1 while making a board for this thing. While using the default image provided by manufacturer seems to work. The kernel used is old compared to the current ST BSP and support from them isn't exactly great so I'm trying to migrate to the latest BSP. This isn't going so well.Following instructions found in the wiki. I've managed to compile it but when trying to run, it just stops at 'starting kernel'. Recompiling with LL_DEBUG and EARLY_PRINTK, resulted in some more info. The lines that seems to show an issue are:[ 1.599531] i2c_dev: i2c /dev entries driver [ 1.606005] syscon-reboot: probe of reboot failed with error -22 [ 1.733737] SMCCC: SOC_ID: ARCH_SOC_ID not implemented, skipping .... I am attempting to use the ST25R3911B-DISCO plugged into Android and I am wondering if this is possible. Right now, I am using the ST25AndroidDemoApp with Android Studio and I am able to use NFC from my android tablet and find a ST25 tag. My end goal is instead of using the NFC of my android tablet, I want to try and use the NFC from the ST25R3911B-DISCO which would be connected to the android tablet through USB. Is this possible, and if so, how might I go about implementing this?

I have followed this tutorial and gotten FATFS working perfectly on the Nucleo-L4R5ZI-P however I am trying to transfer my code to the STM32L4Q5CGU6 and the option under;middleware -> FATFS -> FATFS Mode and Configuration -> there is no option for SD Card The chip advertises SD functionality it has an SDMMC channel, I'm assuming this is an error in STM32CubeIDE not recognising it as the STM32L4Q5CGU6 has SDMMC2 and not 1.Is there a way around this or how can it be solved? Thankshttps://community.st.com/s/article/how-to-create-a-file-system-on-a-sd-card-using-stm32bubeide

I'm working on a bootloader with an STM32F072 device. At the end of the programming process, I followed the steps in the link below to switch to the user application:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000trgpiSAA/how-to-boot-to-random-address-without-vecttaboffset-stm32f072I applied these steps to both the user application and the bootloader application (the transition should have been from the user application to the bootloader application). After doing this, I can easily write data to the 0x08004000 address, but the problem starts here. Without optimization, I write data to the 0x08003800 address, and after a while, when it reaches the page boundaries, it stops writing data. This only happens for values below the 0x08004000 address. The HAL_FLASH_PROGRAM command gets corrupted when it reaches the page boundaries. What is your solution?#define USER_APP_BASE_ADDR 0x08004000UL.ram_vector :{*(.ram_vector)} >RAM  void Write(void){    volatile uint8_t numByte

Hello,In appnote AN3156 (Rev 14) [USB DFU protocol used in the STM32 bootloader] it saysThe bootloader version is returned in the device descriptor in the MSB of the bcd devicefield (example: 0x2000 = version 2.0).In appnote AN2606 (Rev 59) [STM32 microcontroller system memory boot mode], it lists the bootloader versions for 2 chips we use as follows:STM32F302xD(E)/303xD(E)                  =    V4.0STM32G491xx/4A1xx                            =    V13.2When I look at the bcd device field after enumerating in DFU mode, I get:STM32F302xD(E)/303xD(E)                  =    22.00STM32G491xx/4A1xx                            =    2.00I don't see how this corresponds to the info in AN2606. I would like to identify the boot

Hello,is somebody is knowing, if a BDSL-File for  STM32H745XIH6  is existing? The affected processor doesn't exist in the "en.stm32h7_bsdl.zip" (https://www.st.com/resource/en/bsdl_model/stm32h7_bsdl.zip) from STM. Five packages are supported, but not the TBGA256.I would be happy, if someone can share a link or a file with me.Thanks,Jan

Hello,As mentioned in the title, I am trying to output a simple sinusoidal audio over I2S.It works only the first time with DMA and IT, but not afterwards. In blocking mode it works fine. See the code below.Does somebody maybe know why?? (It doesn't matter how long the HAL_Delay is) for(uint16_t i = 0; i < 3; i++){ HAL_Delay(1500); HAL_I2S_Transmit(&hi2s2, (uint16_t*)signal1, nsamples, 150); // get a sound 3 times //HAL_I2S_Transmit_IT(&hi2s2, (uint16_t*)signal1, nsamples); // sound only once //HAL_I2S_Transmit_DMA(&hi2s2, (uint16_t*)signal1, nsamples); // sound only once } Thank you

Hi All,I am trying to use microSD on Nucleo-144 STM32H723ZG(T6U) by using an external microSD module called "Pmod MicroSD" by digilent Pmod microSD Card Slot. The SD card I am using is this one: Trancend 4GB MicroSD . I am able to use the SD card with SPI, but struggle with SDIO (which the slot and card is supposed to support, not SDMMC).I have connected the slot as following:D0(Pin 3) to PC8, D1(Pin 7) to PC9, D2(Pin 8) to PC10, D3(Pin 1) to PC11, SCK(Pin 4) to PC12, CMD(Pin 2) to PD2+ GND - GND, and VCC - 3.3VIn STM32CubeIDE I set SDIO by choosing SDMMC1 in connectivity, then "SD 4 bits Wide bus". I make sure the pins correspond to how I have connected. Everything else is set default here. Then I choose FATFS, SD Card. Here we have one thing called Detect_SDIO: I dont know what this is, and what I need to connect there from the Pmod, or if that is needed. I need at least to choose a GPIO input, and chose it as PA3.Then I choose Automatic clock resolver. (SDMMC1 is set t
