Solved

Hello everyone,I have not conventional question. My purpose is to create code where 2 pins are used as two different interfaces (I2C1 and USART3). I know that pin Stacking option is just theoretical as no code is generated for this interface. I found solution to it as I: 1. Generated normal code for I2C so it works normal2. defined huart3 struct and mx_UART3_Init all in user code brackets in usat.c /usatr.h the same as it would be generated from ioc file.3. Code in fucntion HAL_UART_MspInit and HAL_UART_MspDeInit is generated only for one instance USART1 (My debug uart). So i added "else if" for USART3 instance as if it would be generated by cube. The trouble here is that user code bracket is only inside the "if(instance ==USART1)" And here is my problem code is working fine, trouble is this that every time i change something in ioc file my code from third point is deleted so i need to take care of it and add again my changes. Is there any way to stop cube from changing

Hi all,I'm using stm32l431 and met a problem as below. After power up a new stm32l431 board which had not been programmed before, the MCU enter bootloader progam and the PC value is 0x1FFF xxxx.  Downlaod my own code to MCU but the code and not run. Then, erase the MCU flash by "STM32Cube progammer", the MCU can work.BTW, boot0 and RESET pin connect correctly.

I am using STM32H747 Discovery kit. Using FreeRTOS, trying to understand if SysTick->VAL  is it in Micro-second?

I need 1.5 MSPS speed for my array device having 1536 pixels. I saw that the STM32WB55VGY6TR microcontroller operates its ADC at a maximum speed of 4.26 MSPS in the manual. So, my question is, if I activate 16 channels (the maximum number of channels of this microcontroller), what would be the maximum MSPS? It should be 4.26/16 MSPS? or same?

[VERSION]: MCSDK 6.2.0，STM32CubeMX 6.9.2[TOOL]: MotorControl Workbench 6.2.0[DETAILS]: I want to add my custom control board, but it say "Unable to generate ioc file due to: The following has evaluated to null or missing".My custom control board is STM32F405RGT6, but my attempt failed. Then I try STM32F401RDTx, it is same.1.create mcu json (STM32F401RDTx), copy from STM32F401RETx.json.I have to add an MCU that is not in the list, otherwise my custom control board will not be displayed correctly.   Then in this STM32F401RDTx.json file, I replace "STM32F401RETx"  with "STM32F401RDTx" , and change the flash size to "flash" : 384.  The two are just different in flash size, I think it works fine.2.Create new board using Board Manager.  Clone from NUCLEO-F401RE.Then change the mcu name.3.Create new projectSTM32F401RD+IHM17M1Then generate the project. I want to know how to solve this problem.

Hi there!First time on the community, but have been programming with STM32s for some time now. I am currently facing a speed challenge using the HAL_SPI_Transmit() function. In order to toggle the CS line, I have always done something along the lines of:HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_15, 0);HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi1, bufSPI, 2, 200);HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_15, 1);This has never given me any issues and always executed in a reasonable time frame. I recently migrated a project from STM32L152 to the STM32L071. Based on the datasheets, I understand there could be a roughly 30% speed decrease even with both running their system clocks at 32 MHz. However, this seems to have translated into a very large overhead on my SPI transactions (a lot more than 30%). What I am looking to see is if there is either a way to get the SPI driver to handle my CS line for me, or somehow reduce the overhead associated with a call to the HAL (I am not afraid to modify or bypass the HAL functi

This seems like an easy one, but I've searched high and low.  Both STM32CubeMX (v6.9.2)  and STM32CubeIDE (v1.13.2) place generated code in a root folder named Core.  Is there a way to configure file placement into folders of my choice?

I am trying to use the external i2c connector (CN4) on the STM32H753I-Eval2 board to connect with the i2c connector (CN2) on STM32F769I discovery board. STM32H753I works as master and STM32F769I works as slave.On STM32H753I, the function "HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c1, 0x20, TxBuffer, TXBUFFERSIZE, 1000)" is used to write data. It always fails at "I2C_WaitOnTXISFlagUntilTimeout(hi2c, Timeout, tickstart)" with the error of timeout. It seems the slave ACK is never received on the master board. I use STM32CubeMX to create the code and "MX_I2C1_Init()" return without any error. I also follow steps here to set up I2C1 in STM32CubeMX (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Getting_started_with_I2C#I2C_settings).Any insight is appreciated! Thanks!

Hi all,I plan to update my MCU. I would like to upload to MCU. bin file. If I understand correctly, this file can be uploaded entirely to the initial address of the MCU. It should not contain any extra data. I checked this file and just before the end there is extra data like gnu data and its versions. I don't understand where this data comes from. I did not find this data in another project. Is it related to some project setting?.

Hi everybody,I'm working on a project where I have a pi cm4 connected to a STM32 (during testing we're using a STM32G07 dev board, but production will be using an STM32G03 chip). I've been asked to write a program to allow the cm4 to update the firmware via the uart. I've managed to get the program to reliably access the bootloader and run get, getv, getid, and readmem (for the flash memory). However when I try to run the write memory command it appears to run successfully, but when I read the memory address I just wrote to it returns the original value. I'm fairly certain that the write protection has already been disabled (checked using STM32CubeProgrammer), but I decided to try and run the write unprotect command just encase, but the chip seem to just hang after running the command.I'm a recent graduate, and this is my first job, so I'm fairly uncertain as to what I'm doing, so it's very possible I'm missing something important. Thanks for any assistance and patients.

I am using stm32f302r8t6 microcontroller. In standby mode, the pins on port A are high, which should not be the case for the card I designed. For the stm32f302r8t6 microcontroller, I should keep one pin on port A low in standby mode.

Hello,I am using the board "STM32F407G-DISC1" and I want to implement a test code for timers in output compare mode,Timers (2,3,4,5, and 12) worked perfectly.but it does not work for Timer 8 Channel 2 (I used all possible pins for this channel "PB0, PB14, PC7") none of them have worked.the code for timer 2 and timer 8 is attached  Thank you, Dema.

Hello, I'm using the X-Nucleo-NFC08A1 with the X_Cube NFC 6 and a NFC(V - ISO15693) Tag. I want to decrease the time for reading and writing. I also want do decrease the time for detecting a Tag. Are their any parameters to change or is the speed highly dependent on the Tag. I already lwered the discParam.totalDuration to 10ms and turned off all functions that work with a different type of Tag. Time to read a single Block: 11.38 ms Time to write a single Block: 15.65 ms Thank you for helpingRgds

I am trying to view and debug the queues in my FreeRTOS project. To do this, I have to add the queues to registry with vQueueAddToRegistry. However, vQueueAddToRegistry takes an argument to a QueueHandle_t and in the project generated with STM32CubeMX I only have queue handles with the type osMessageQueueId_t. How do I get a QueueHandle_t that can be added to registry?

HI experts ,      May you have a nice day! this figure is in rm0440-STM32G4 Series Reference manual. STM32F4, STM32F3 have the same TIM.now I have some question:1. how can I configure the Modules in the red box, such as selecting x0, 01 or 11?2. I find CC1E and CC1NE can only enable the OC1 and OC1N output. WHY there are two function position(red box) for CC1E and CC1NE bit? is it something wrong? Looking forward to hearing from the experts!

Hi Forum..I would like to know if it exists any commercial tools available for doing some automated test for the gui which is usable in touchgfx.I mean something similar to this done for QT :https://www.froglogic.com/squish/editions/automated-testing-embedded-qt-guis-hmis/

HiI need to evaluate the ST Motor Control Kit STEVAL-CTM010V1 with ST Motor Profiler GUI Tool v5.4.8.But my board is not listed in the supported boards list. Can anyone please tell me if there is any way I can use the Motor Profiler tool with my Board.Although I can easily select the board in the Motor Control Workbench GUI v5.4.8 and it shows the block diagram with all configurations. ThanksManish

Hi, I accidentally encountered a problem with echo-received packets after transmitting. Is there a software initialization of FDCAN way to avoid it? I can't use a filter 'cause receiving the packet for MCU is possible.

Hi ST community,For a project I would like to generate two interdependent PWM signals (Sa and Sw in the attached figure) with the STM32G0. The constraints/tasks are as follows:tSw,off = constant for ~100nstSw,on = in a time range from ~100ns to 20us and is limited cycle by cycle by an active break (peak control application).tSa,off = set every 300us in a time range from ~100ns to 30us.tSa,on = is set every 300us in a time range from ~100ns to 5us.The times for tSa,off and tSa,on are thus adjusted every 300us. The time tSw,on is limited cycle by cycle by the active break.Following limitations I had to mention:I'm allowed to interrupt the software all 300us for a few us (so polling could be difficult).Focus on the STM32G0 microcontroller series. The on time tSw,on is limited cycle by cycle with an comparator.I will not present my previous approaches now, in order not to influence your ideas.I look forward to your feedback.Br, Stefan

Hi, thanks for reading my question.I use DMA for ADC, and it works well, one shot mode, and starts gain, data changed well from the ADC.But, if I read the data, then DMA works but it cant write it into the memory.  #define MAX_DMA_MEMORY_SIZE 2552 ALIGN_32BYTES (static uint8_t ADC_DMAMemory[MAX_DMA_MEMORY_SIZE]); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t *) ADC_DMAMemory, MAX_DMA_MEMORY_SIZE);   and just copy the data 1 time   for(int i = 0; i < nsize; i++) { pVal[i] = ADC_DMAMemory[i+ioffset]; }  I use dma for 2552 data, and copy 2048 data to pVal. So just copied 389th array to 2437th.and after this copy, DMA refresh only 0 to 384th, and 2438 to 2552. DMA never write data to the address where i copied.if i dont copy data, it works well, every time, it writes new data. Please help me, i just went through H7 weird data cache usage, and i met another problem. Thanks in advance.

I want to program my STM32F091CC with the ST Link/V2 through Arduino. I downloaded the stw-link009 software and I can push Arduino code to the STM32. The problem is that I can not get serial communication so I can see serial prints or debug my code. I have been trying to fix this issue for several days now but don't see a solution. On other forms I see that it is impossible to get serial communication from an "external ST Link/V2 .. Thanks in advance.

When I try to set all details into the Motor Control Workbench (with Hall Sensors) at Motor Parameters, there are fields for Inertia and Friction, that I am not sure how to configure. The motor spec is as below images.  What should I set for Inertia and Friction.Inertia:      uN*m*s2Friction:     uN*m*sMany thanks,Tom
