Heyho,I think I need some more info about the internal bootloader ("BL") which I didn't find in AN2606 or AN3155 (UART). a) Are all BL interfaces active / scanned at the same time, and any interface finding any change in level will be "chosen"?From what I have found, it is crucial to keep unused IOs "quiet". b) Does the BL have some "start-up timeout", meaning that it will stop scanning the IOs, and / or jump to the application? Thanks in advance!

Hello,I need to sync the stm32n6 system timer to be used as PTP master. According to the Reference Manual there is a PPS input that can generate timestamp and interrupt: ETH_PTP_AUX_TSBut according to the RM it is not in all models, and I can't find which models it exists and how to map it to external IO. Thanks,Noam.

The configuration for include paths in cubeIDE seems horrendous.  I have installed CMSIS 5.9 using MX no problems.  IDE didnt pick it up. Manually configured the path into cubeIDE..... still cant see the include file ... even though it is right there.I am using exist source files imported into cubeIDE but there is no easy way to make the cubeIDE see the include paths.Bang head .. repeat.Do I have to manually copy the CMSIS DSP files into the project ??I see from the web this problem occurs alot .. with many different "solutions".

Hello everyone,I need to drive up to 11 LPS27HHTW pressure/temperature sensors using an STM32C5 microcontroller. Currently, I'm testing the setup on an NUCLEO-C562RE board with multiple STEVAL-MKI220V1 modules. At first glance, using I3C dynamic addressing seemed to solve the bus conflict issue. However, while testing, I realized that all of these sensors share the exact same 48-bit PID (0x020800B30000). This generates a collision when doing an ENTDAA broadcast.Since the sensors only have 2 possible static I2C addresses (0x5c and 0x5d, depending on the SA0 pin level), I cannot use the SETDASA command for all 11 devices either.I can't split the sensors across different buses since there are too many of them. I would like to know if there are better architectural options than playing with the CS pin levels using 11 dedicated GPIOs to enable/disable communication on each sensor individually.Any advice on how you would drive that many sensor using a STM32C5 mcu?Best regards,Mathias

Hi,I have the STM32H753ZI Nucleo board and have developed firmware around this MCU with this board as my reference platform. On our product, firmware updates will be uploaded via the UART interfaces. So the user will need to enter Bootloader. On the Nucleo board, the LD3 Red LED stays illuminated when in Bootloader.I think this is because the GPIO pin is being pulled up, and this is not intentional as an indicator? An indication to the user that they have successfully reset the MCU into Bootloader is useful. How can you recommend we can do this in a reliable way in the future? Thanks.

The Tsample value doesn't reach the published value (between 0.3 and 0.5 s, and from my measurements between 0.3 and 0.35 s) until Vstore reaches the EOC threshold. Before, it is just around 80 ms. Once EOC is reached and when Vstore decreases again the published range is achieved, but when Vstore decreases below the UVP threshold, the value of 80 ms shows again and it keeps until the EOC threshold is reached again. I tested this with 2 different chips. This behaviour is not stated in the datasheet.

Hi,We are working for a project on Railway application, where we have selected STM32G4A1VET6 controller for Motor control application.we are developing custom board for Motor control application, Selected motor is BG65x50 dCore by Dunker motor, above selected controller is not available in MC workbench software. Could you please provide solution on this one and also the motor control library package is not available in STM32CUBE IDE middleware section.

Hello, I'm using 2x NUCLEO-WB55RG boards with the unmodified BLE_MeshLightingPRFNode example from STM32CubeWB V1.24.0. Setup:- BLE Stack full v1.13.2.2 (stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin)- FUS v1.2.0- Provisioned with ST BLE Mesh app (tested on both iOS and Android)- Both nodes subscribed and published to Default group (0xC000)- Both nodes have AppKey 00 bound to all models Firmware boot logs confirm:- Relay = Enabled- Proxy = Enabled- Friend = Enabled- PB-ADV = Enabled- PB-GATT = Enabled- Default TTL = 8- Different MAC addresses on each board Problem:1. Sending a Generic OnOff command to the Default group (0xC000) from the app only turns on the LED of the node connected via GATT proxy. The other node never receives the message. 2. SW1 button press toggles only the local LED, never the remote node's LED. 3. It is ALWAYS the last provisioned node that responds. If I reverse the provisioning order, it is still the last one that works. The first provisioned nod

Hello everyone,I was reviewing the AN4899 Application Note and noticed a potential logic inconsistency that might lead to misunderstanding the GPIO output stage. I have prepared a short analysis and a proposed correction below. I would appreciate it if the technical team could take a look. IntroductionThis report investigates a potential logic inconsistency identified in the STMicroelectronics AN4899 Application Note. The analysis suggests that the logic gates in Figures 15, 16and 17 might be drawn incorrectly, specifically the part controlling the P-MOS transistor. Due to the structural similarities between these figures, the analysis is explained based on Figure 17.Signal Mapping and Logic AnalysisThe following diagram (Figure 1) has been labeled with signal names to track the logic flow from the digital output to the transistor gates:Figure 1Figure 1: Labeled Figure 17 from STMicroelectronics AN4899 Application Note. Red arrows and signal labels (SIGN1-SIGN6) have been added fo

Hello ST community. I am trying to understand the support the otfdec https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/OTFDEC_internal_peripheral internal device has or will have in the OpenSTLinux. Can anyone suggest reading material on supporting the otfdec for mp2?

I am working on Acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS). May I know where Can I get Pinout details for all variants of SR5E1E7 MCU ?

Hi, What is the official moisture sensitivity level (MSL) for STM32F072CBT6TR? I found conflicting information showing both MSL 2 and MSL 3.

Hi ST team,We are going to use L6598D PWM controller (Half bridge topology) followed by PFC IC L4985B for our variable power supply design. We need two models for variable (programable) power supply (Model 1 & Model 2) as below specifications. So, can we generate below mentioned wide output voltage from IC L6598D with Half bridge topology? For Model 1 Vout: 3V-63V/5A (80W maximum with auto ranging)For Model 2 Vout: 3V-23V/20A (80W maximum with auto ranging)  RegardsVikram

Hello community,I have this problem. I have a project with the STM32U575RGTx microcontroller. It includes also FreeRTOS (Version 1.3.1) and a TouchGFX project (Version 4.26.0).With this system configuration: Timebase Source TIM17 The TouchGFX project has screens that require more or less CPU, the problem that I have is that when one or other screen is selected the execution frequency of the FreeRTOS tasks and the HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback change their execution frequency, so I can not have a valid time reference to do other things in my firmware application. Has anyone faced the same problem? Much thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm working on the STM32H750B-DK discovery board and need to combine two key functionalities:1. Ethernet connectivity based on the LwIP stack (using the example from the `stm32-hotspot/STM32H7-LwIP-Examples` repository).2. A TouchGFX GUI that stores its assets (images, fonts) in the external QSPI flash (`MT25TL01G`) due to the limited internal flash (128KB).I have both components working **individually**: - The **standalone Ethernet example** (STM32H750_Disco_ETH) works perfectly – I can ping the board at `192.168.1.10`.- The **standalone TouchGFX application** works when the external flash is properly initialized via a bootloader, and assets are loaded from `0x90200000`.The challenge is to merge them into a single project where the application code runs from internal flash (the `APP_FLASH` region) and the Ethernet stack functions correctly alongside the TouchGFX GUI. ### **Current Memory Map (Linker Script)** I am using the following memory partition to accommodate both: `MEMORY {

I am new to STM32CubeIDE  2.0.0 environment and I cannot debug my first project. See failure message in attachment.  What do I need to do to debug in this environment?  Is there instructions hidden somewhere that I need to follow?

Hello, I made a lot of project with Touchgfx . I started a new project with  STM32U599ZI, IAR 9.60.3 , Touchgfx 4.26.1 , CubeMx 6.17.0 , STM32CubeU5 MCU package V1.8.0.  I created project from Cube, than I double clicked touchgfx file under TOUCHGFX folder.I created a dummy project with only a red box and I clicked generate code on TouchGFX as I always do. But when I open IAR project I cannot see TouchGFX folder on IAR workspace window  and when I try to build project, IAR gives a lot of erros about not founded Touchgfx files.  Touchgfx files and folders ara exist in my project folder but not in IAR workspace window. My colluage has same proglem with STM32L4R5A mcu . I tried rebuild all, clean project, creating project from CubeMX from zero, but I could not find a solution. Can you give any solution.

Thread split from this post. I am using STM32CubeIDE version 2.1.0. CubeMX generates a project for STM32F769I-DISCO without BSP, but the BSP for this board clearly exists in STM32CubeF7 and is used in official examples. Is there a way to add BSP directly from CubeIDE? If not, what is the correct way to integrate BSP into the project? Thank you.

Hi, I have two questions regarding ST-Link V2 programming: 1. For connecting and programming via SWD, is it safe to connect only NRST, GND, SWCLK, SWDIO without the Target VDD pin? We might “fake” the voltage for space reasons. Could this cause any issues?   2. I assume ST-Link flashes the MCU memory directly via SWD, not through the bootloader like USB DFU. Can anyone explain in detail how each pin behaves during programming, and if NRST can be omitted in some cases?   It would be helpful if there is an official ST document explaining this. Thanks!

Hi everyone,I'm trying to use OTG in FS Mode with DMA enabled (I know it's not a consistent use case, as FS datarate is pretty low)But still, I changed the code in Drivers\STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver\Src\stm32f4xx_hal_pcd.c :...#if defined (USB_OTG_FS)/* Disable DMA mode for FS instance */if (USBx == USB_OTG_FS){    hpcd->Init.dma_enable = ENABLE; //FGE: try to use OTG FS with DMA enabled}#endif /* defined (USB_OTG_FS) */...But it does not enumerate. This is the only change I brought to the CubeMX generated code Any hints ?ThanksFabrice

Hoping someone can assist.I have a 2 x 8 segment numerical glass LCD that I want to drive from the MCU.See two images below & uploaded files with this request.snippet from LCD data sheet.snippet from CubeMX pin out view. This display is Static with total of 16 segments. Is there a convention when connecting LCD segments to the MCU pins?I cannot seem to find any guidance to show which physical pin on the glass segment LCD module needs to connect to which LCD_SEGxx pin on the MCU. If anybody has trialed this, could they provide any related information please.  Thank you.

Hi, I am using the STM32U5G9 and trying to control a QSPI Flash (MX25L51245GXDI) using the HSPI peripheral. I am confused about which official HAL library and functions I should use for this specific configuration. Since the hardware is named HSPI but the Flash is QSPI, it is unclear which driver is the intended one. Could you please clarify which of the following should be used? HAL_SPI_... (Standard SPI functions) HAL_XSPI_... (Expanded SPI functions) HAL_QSPI_... (Quad SPI functions) HAL_OSPI_... (Octo-SPI functions) There is no stm32u5xx_hal_hspi.c provided in the firmware package, and using HAL_QSPI_... or HAL_SPI_... functions with the HSPI1 instance results in type-casting errors and compilation failures. Please provide the official recommendation on which HAL driver is mandatory for driving a 4-line Quad SPI Flash through the HSPI interface on the STM32U5G9 series. Best regards,

The 4.7 µF ceramic capacitor must be connected to one of the VDD pin.从图中来看是以144PIN的芯片为例，但我使用的是64PIN的封装，是否也需要在其中一个VDD引脚放置4.7uf的电容，如果需要，是单独放置一个4.7uf还是与一个0.1uf并联放置 Translation: "In section 6.1.6 of the STM32F412RGT6 datasheet, regarding filter capacitors, it states: "2. The 4.7 µF ceramic capacitor must be connected to one of the VDD pins." The diagram shows this for a 144-pin chip, but I'm using a 64-pin package. Do I also need to place a 4.7 µF capacitor on one of the VDD pins? If so, should I place a single 4.7 µF capacitor or connect it in parallel with a 0.1 µF capacitor?"

Please confirm the origin country of the STSPIN9P15TR&STSPIN9P23TR.I ordered the STSPIN9P15TR&STSPIN9P23TR from ST.com. Customs is requesting confirmation of the product's origin.

Hi Engineer， Based on the data sheet, the marking of STH145N8F7-2AG should be "145N8F7 ", but the parts I purchased were with marking of "145N8F7-2". Could you help suggest whether I purchased correct parts? Thanks, Haddy
