I am developing firmware with a Boot region and Application region split for OTA firmware update on STM32F469AIHX.[Environment]- MCU: STM32F469AIHX (Max core clock: 180MHz)- IDE: STM32CubeIDE- HAL Library: STM32CubeF4- Flash layout: Bootloader (Sector 0~N) / Application (Sector N+1~)[Problem]When the flash is split into Boot and App regions, the system does not operate correctly at 180MHz.However, setting the core clock to 128MHz works fine. Also, the Application running alone from address 0x08000000 works fine at 180MHz.[What I have already tried]- Reset CubeMX configuration to default, only changed flash memory layout- Verified VTOR is correctly set to APPLICATION_ADDRESS- Verified SysTick_Handler calls HAL_IncTick()- Confirmed uwTick does not increment when running at 180MHz after jump- Removed HAL_RCC_DeInit() / HAL_DeInit() before jump in bootloader- Tried setting SCB->VTOR before HAL_Init() in application main()[Bootloader jump code]__disable_irq(); SysTick->CTRL = 0; SysTic

Hi,I'm getting info on playing mp3 files with my custom Nucleo-U5A9 (originally a NUcleo-U575, I replaced the MCU and added xtal). I'll be using the audio codec TLV320AIC3110 with I2C and SAI from the U5A9. I'll be using ThreadX, FileX an a uSD card. The mp3 files would be in the uSD.I read here about X-CUBE-AUDIO. But the decode spirit mp3 libraries seem to be for the core M3, M4 and M7. Will any of these work with the U5A9 (core M33)? If not, what other options are there? Thanks

I'm using the STM32G474 at 170MHz. Is it possible to simulate hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV512; since the G474  only recognizes up to ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV256; I need very slow readings from the ADC. Thank you Valter

I am unable to inspect the device registers for my STM32U545 project. I can see the Cortex core Registers, and see them update as I step through the initialization. The tooltip mentions an svd file, how can I check if it's set up correctly?

Hi,How do I generate a project for STM32CubeIDE using STM32cubeMX2? Apparently, the only options are cmake, IAR, and open-cmsis (Keil). And is it possible to open examples from STM32CubeC5 using STM32CubeIDE?Ari

Hello,I am using STM32U575RGT6 with CubeMX 6.17 and the bundled X-CUBE-FREERTOS v1.4.0. After enabling USE_TICKLESS_IDLE, I observed that the tick period becomes inaccurate.Specifically, the delay appears to be consistently shortened to about 0.875× of the expected value.void StartDefaultTask(void const *argument) { while (1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LED_RED_GPIO_Port, LED_RED_Pin); vTaskDelay(400); } }With USE_TICKLESS_IDLE disabled, the delay is approximately 400 ms as expected. After enabling it, the delay is reduced to about 350 ms.I have created a minimal project to reproduce the issue, and it shows the same behavior consistently. The project is attached.Could anyone help explain the cause or suggest a fix?Thank you.

Dear Community, I am researching how to use a 50Mpx MIPI CSI-2 2 LANE RAW 10 sensor with stm32N647.The idea is not to use the full sensor, instead using analogue/digital crop and windowing on the sensor to capture a specific part of the image and downsize it to a smaller size before entering the ISP of the MCU. The sensor doesn't have scaling. So after all steps I am left with a frame size that varies from 11.4 to 2.4 Mpx depending on cases. From there the image needs to be downsized to a buffer with a maximum size of 1024x768 px for the display. The question is whether the scaling of the ISP of the STM32N647 can handle downsizing and at what cost. The ISP is rated at 5Mpx 30fps but specifies it is possible above, the datasheet is vague about this. Thanks for the help.

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my STM32U5G9J-DK2 board. Description: Board powered through STLINK USB LED LD7 is ON LED LD6 is ON LED LD1 is OFF I measured about 0.8 Ω between 3V3 and GND Component U16 overheats a few seconds after power-up No external circuit is connected I already tried: Another USB cable and power source Disconnecting all external peripherals My question:Could someone help identify where the problem might come from?Could U16 be defective or indicate a short circuit on the 3.3V rail? Thank you for your help.

Hello.I created a project for the STM32F769I-DISCO board using CubeMX.I am trying to follow an LVGL example, but the example uses BSP-based libraries, and they are not working in my project. After checking, I found that there is no BSP included anywhere in the generated project. From what I understand, when selecting a board in CubeMX, the BSP should normally be included automatically. However, in my case, it is not.I tried downloading the STM32F769I-DISCO BSP from GitHub and manually copying it into the Drivers folder. However, this caused many build errors, possibly due to missing dependencies or incomplete integration, so I reverted those changes.Could you please advise how to properly include or enable BSP for this board when using CubeMX?Thank you.

Hello,I have STM32F7 controller, using Free RTOS, trying to interface external NOR flash, S29GL128S10TFIV13.I have one source file say testCode.cpp, which I want to move completely in external NOR flash, but every time I ran then code it give Hardfault.MEMORY { RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 512K FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 2048K EXT_FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x64000000, LENGTH = 16M EXT_SRAM_HEAP (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x60000000, LENGTH = 256K EXT_SRAM_STACK (rw) : ORIGIN = 0x60040000, LENGTH = 256K } SECTIONS { .isr_vector : { . = ALIGN(4); KEEP(*(.isr_vector)) /* Startup code */ . = ALIGN(4); } >FLASH .ext_flash_code : { . = ALIGN(4); _sextflash_run = .; *(.ext_flash_data*) *(.ext_flash_data*) . = ALIGN(4); _eextflash_run = .; } > EXT_FLASH /* 2. Despite my best efforts to populate and boot the the image of the STM32MP157-DK2 using the .tsv files I am met with a mixed result To date I have yet to establish a USB connection despite following the procedures at wiki. The UART connection is working. My environment is as follows ...Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS - stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v26.02.18 - STM32CubeProgrammer v2.22.0 and STM32_Programmer_CLI Be it that I use STM32CubeProg or the STM32_Programmer_CLI terminal interface the FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-optee.tsv is not found despite the path being correct. Yet I am able to flash tf-a-stm32mp157c-dk2-optee-programmer-usb.stm32 0x01 or tf-a-stm32mp157f-dk2-optee-programmer-usb.stm32 0x01 using the terminal which was the first value in a sequence of the .tsv file (see kate as an example). The same conundrum occurs using STM32CubeProg. Might you suggest how I might resolve this problem - be it in establishing a USB connection or flashing the sd card usin

In STM32CubeMX v6.17.0, in the left side of the Pinout & Configuration panel, if the mouse cursor is within a table that lists peripherals, the scroll wheel doesn't do anything. I expect it to scroll the window. You need to move it outside of the table but still within the bounds of the "Categories" tab in order to scroll up and down. This is super annoying because it means you have to have the cursor on the far left or far right of this window otherwise a table will appear when scrolling and the mouse wheel will stop working. In the screenshot, having the cursor anywhere in the red box will stop it from scrolling. I expect it to scroll the green scrollbar.

I connected the VD55G1 promodule on the LS-CAM-I3C and connected it to the NUCLEO-H563ZI.The Display X-NUCLEO-GFX02Z1 is also connected. This is exactly the same configuration from the README.md.I get always an error in "ret = platform_i3c_assign_dynamic_address(p_dev->p_ctx);" (Line 82 display_qvga_streaming_i3C.c) I3C ErrorAccording to https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um3224-how-to-integrate-and-configure-the-vd55g1-sensor-stmicroelectronics.pdf Page35 I assume a ACK at the second W=0x7E (ENTDAA).I have a very shot cable between the NUCLEO Board and the LS-CAM-I3C.What could be the Problem

As is well known, the ADC sampling rate is on the order of microseconds, while the display task may only refresh once every 100 milliseconds. In an RTOS, how can the display task and ADC sampling values be synchronized? With such a long display refresh cycle, how are the numerous ADC sampling values handled—should they be discarded or stored in a buffer? If stored in a buffer, would it occupy substantial memory space? How do people handle this issue in actual applications?

Hello,I am currently working with the STEVAL-L99615C evaluation kit and the Nucleo G071RB microcontroller board. My goal is to set up a LabVIEW program that can:1. Adjust the output voltages of power supplies to simulate real battery cells.2. Read data measured by the evaluation kit (e.g., cell voltages). For this, I need to learn the basics of communication with the evaluation kit, such as reading and writing to registers (e.g., reading VCELL1_MEAS from register 0x04).Steps Taken So Far1. I successfully connected the evaluation kit to the provided STSW-L99615C GUI, and it works as expected for executing scripts and reading data.2. I attempted manual serial communication with the Nucleo G071RB using PuTTY:Port Settings:Baud Rate: 9600 (also tried 115200)Data Bits: 8Parity: NoneStop Bits: 1Flow Control: NoneCommands Attempted:READ 0x04READ 4READ 4\nREAD 0x04\n  However, I did not receive any response from the board in PuTTY. Additionally, I observed that my keystrokes wer

Hey guys.. new here.. I’m building a small STM32F103 board to read temp and pressure sensors… prototype works fine on breadboard but now want to make PCB..Problem is.. I tried to route VCC and GND planes in KiCad, but when I refill copper zones some areas near STM32 pins stay unconnected.. DRC shows some warnings for vias too..Should I place more vias near STM32 or maybe change copper zone settings?? Also decoupling caps.. some are far from pins because of routing.. will that cause issues?? I’m little worried about noise and stability.. never made 2-layer pcb with stm32 before..

Hi all, I have reached the point of desperation, and I am all out of ideas how to get my STM32U031 project working.I designed a very simple PCB which has only a few components. I have attached the KiCad files in case it is helpful. I followed guidelines for decoupling capacitors and broke out the SWDIO and SWCLK pins. The issue I have is this: I can not program/connect to the chip over SWD. When I power the PCB from 3V, the first noticeable problem is GPIO PA3 goes high. You can notice that because that pin is connected to the gate of a mosfet which is used to switch some LEDs, so when it goes high, the LEDs turn on. It is especially strange because I put an external pulldown resistor on the pin, so the fresh unprogrammed MCU is driving it high for some reason. I also connected my ST Link to the PCB, but when I try to connect with any speed or reset settings, I see this error:02:27:47 : UR connection mode is defined with the SWrst reset mode02:27:47 : ST-LINK SN : 003B00

The sensor box pro is a neat device.  If I use the CLI Example program and the USB cable, I can get 8000 data points per second, if I use a traditional C# program I get 8 data points per second.  The CLI yields dat files, which can be read with a simple C# program, although why you would mix 6 and 4 data groups is beyond my skill set to understand, but it is easier to use than Python and MEMS Set.   And it is easier to do the byte data in C#.  (It took less time to write this program than I spent trying to get Python to work.)CLI Example makes me type enter to start.  I have many ST.COM accelerometers all over the world and I am not going to type enter to start, but the main.cpp and main.h and the cmake lists file will not compile in CMAKE or Visual Studio.  So I cannot fix the challenging feature. Could we get VS SLNX file and the C++ code for this program as part of the SLNX so it is easy to take out the enter statement and break the outpu

Hi,I’m trying to understand how the build setup works in VS Code.Could you advise where and how to configure VS Code so that .bin and .hex files are always generated when building both Debug and Release configurations? Is this controlled via CMake, or through one of the .json configuration files?Whichever approach is correct, could you also share the specific scripts or commands that need to be used?Thank you :)

I have a project that will be using the LIV4F chip. I downloaded and installed X-CUBE-GNSS1 but its description says it is for the LIV3F. Is it compatible with and will it function with the LIV4F chip? I will be using it on the STM32G474CEU6.Thanks!

I have been playing with the n6-dk for a while and today something unexpected happened. When I try to run the stock code provided in the model zoo services, the board flashes for a moment at startup and the debugger and the board become unresponsive (requiring power cycling).Another weird thing is that if I flash the code and connect the board to a power source the code seems to be running correctly. I tried with another desktop experiencing the same issue. I also tried to do a mass erase and fresh flashing of fsbl, source, and network code. This was not a problem before, for weeks I run the code with the board connected to my desktop, I have never seen the code crash like that (normally, if something in the code is wrong, I hit a fault and the board get stuck in a sig handler loop).Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Hello,is it possible to cascade multible STPM33 Chips? That means SPTM33 + Crystal as master -> two STPM33 CLKIN-> Last CLKOUT -> two STPM33 CLKIN

Hi,I'm currently trying to run an image classification AI on a STM32H747I-DISCO board with the B-CAMS-OMV camera module bundle, using my own dataset. I was told it's good practice to use the same sensor for dataset collection and the final application, so I want to collect the images for the dataset with the B-CAM-OMV camera module aswell.I've seen that the model zoo provides many applications for the DISCO, unfortunately no simple USB-Webcam. I found such an application in the deprecated FP-AI-VISION1 pack, but it seems that my DISCO is a newer model and has another LCD (MB1166-A09), which doesn't work with the FP-AI-VISION1 pack.Does anyone know of a similar up-to-date application for simple taking images or has a different solution?
