Hello,I am new to STM32 parts and USB. We are looking at using USB to communicate between two STM32F407 boards.Can anyone give some insight as to the best way to do this?What USB classes should be used?Any examples of this?Thanks,Brent

Hello,I am currently evaluating the STM32H562 device. This devices has an ICACHE (instruction cache) module.Does it make sense to enable both, the ICACHE module and the FLASH prefetch buffer? In the past I already worked with the G0, G4 and F4 series.If I create an STM32G474 CubeIDE project, I can enable the FLASH "Instruction cache" and the "Prefetch buffer" via the "RCC" module.If I create an STM32H562 CubeIDE project, I can enable the "ICACHE" module but there is no "Prefetch buffer" setting in the "RCC" module anymore.Is there a reason that the "prefetch buffer" enable option is not available for the H562 device in the CubeIDE?What is the difference between the "FLASH Instruction cache" of the G4 and the "ICACHE" module of the H5?Thank you,Markus

Hi,I'm using STM32WL55 Wireless, Long Range Nucleo-64. My goal is to use this floor as an end node. I want to connect my existing sensors to the card via I2C protocol and send the data via LoRa. In the examples I examined, peripherals are used using IKS01A2, but can't I read from the sensor using the I2C pins on the board and send the data via LoRa without using it? I would be very happy if you could help me, good work.

Hello.I'm using STM32F407, use usart3 set DMA setting baud rate 9600 and use receive void HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, uint16_t Size){if (huart->Instance == USART3) {HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(&huart3, RxBuff, Size);__HAL_DMA_DISABLE_IT(&hdma_usart3_rx, DMA_IT_HT);}} connect to computer using software terminal "HTerm" Set baud rate 9600 STM32F407 can receiveBut i change to other baud rate such as 115200then i change baud rate 9600 can not receive

I'm attempting to interface an STM32G473 with a VESC motor controller using CAN.I am successfully receiving status frames from the VESC controller, but when I transmit a frame to command it, the ID my scope reads in the frame is not always the same as what I set in my code. It appears to always set bit 0.For example, if I set an extended ID of 0, my scope reads an ID of 1. Setting the ID to 1 in code results in the same waveform. I've attached waveforms for IDs 0 and 1. The problem persists for other IDs, so 88 becomes 89 etc.I've used CubeMX to configure FDCAN1 for 500kbps, which gave me this at 150MHz clock: hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1;hfdcan1.Init.ClockDivider = FDCAN_CLOCK_DIV1;hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_CLASSIC;hfdcan1.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL;hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = DISABLE;hfdcan1.Init.TransmitPause = DISABLE;hfdcan1.Init.ProtocolException = DISABLE;hfdcan1.Init.NominalPrescaler = 20;hfdcan1.Init.NominalSyncJumpWidth = 1;hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg1

Hi,I am using STM32G491 for the project. For USB HID class the Cube MX generates usbd_dec.c file. In this file, there is a Get_SerialNum functionstatic void Get_SerialNum(void){  uint32_t deviceserial0, deviceserial1, deviceserial2;   deviceserial0 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID1;  deviceserial1 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID2;  deviceserial2 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID3;   deviceserial0 += deviceserial2;   if (deviceserial0 != 0)  {    IntToUnicode(deviceserial0, &USBD_StringSerial[2], 8);    IntToUnicode(deviceserial1, &USBD_StringSerial[18], 4);  }}so, is this code shall generates %100 unique serial numbers for every product?If it is not is there any alternative that shall generate a unique serial number?Best regards.

Hi,I'm developing firmware for embedded with NFC chip ST25DV04KC (ISO15693 type 5).SDK Discovery based on CR95HF is used for development NFC interface. SDK included DLL for creating applications on PC.Can anyone recommend industrial (device ready for user use) NFC Reader that can communicate with NFC type 5 tags, connected via USB and supported by SDK for Windows and Android?Thanks!

I am using all 3 ADCs on an F765 to convert 16 channels of data at 50 ksps. Each ADC is configured to perform a sequence of conversions (5 on ADC1 and ADC2, 6 on ADC3), all triggered from the same timer. I have also configured them to ping-pong the data using the DMA. The ping-pong buffers reside in external SDRAM.This works fine, but, ofcourse, there is the problem of the data being scrambled, so it has to be de-interleved into linear buffers for each channel so that I can then perform signal processing on each channel.There is a lot of data to de-interleave (5000x2x2x16 bytes), and 100 ms in which to do all the required processing before the next buffer needs to be serviced. The de-interleaving routine takes about 39 ms after optimisation, so I only have 61 ms for the other filtering operations, which is likely to be a problem.The DMA doesn't seem to allow clever indexing to de-interleave on the fly...am I missing a trick?Is there something else I should be considering to get around

Project : STM32L476RG-Nucleo\Applications\X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1\FTM For read, you always add one to the result of the length read:  *msg_len = mblength + 1; Seems reasonable when mblengh is 255 , and you add one to read 256 bytes ,  which is the max mailbox size.But not after Init. As I clear the mailbox, and read it, mblength is 0, as expected. But I still read 1 byte ( = 0xFF) What is this byte? kinda confusing! Using you package code: ST25FTM_MessageStatus_t ST25FTM_ReadMessage(uint8_t *msg, uint32_t* msg_len) { int ret = NFCTAG_OK; uint16_t mblength = 0; /* Read length of message */ ret = NFC04A1_NFCTAG_ReadMBLength_Dyn(0, (uint8_t *)&mblength ); if( ret != NFCTAG_OK ) { return ST25FTM_MSG_ERROR; } *msg_len = mblength + 1; /* Read all data in Mailbox */ ret = NFC04A1_NFCTAG_ReadMailboxData( 0, msg, 0, *msg_len ); if(ret == NFCTAG_OK) { mailboxStatus = ST25FTM_MESSAGE_EMPTY; /* Trick to automatically detect the max frame length o

Hi, i used t programmed using ST-Link/V2, now my lab has brought a new STLink V3 SET could anyone advise how to programme and flash code using the V3? Can the V3 be use with STM32CubeIDE to program/ flash the code?

Hello community, I have a problem with new project creation, whenever I want to create a new project I come across this error: create minimal project failure: cannot read template source. reason: internal error i know the problem which is having a space in my user folder name which i don't wanna change because it might mess my registry files.so i'd like change the repository location to another place if it's possible.thank you for having me.

I created a new board using STM32L431CBT6. The initial programming of the board was successful. However, once a program was written, I found that it couldn't be modified again. I suspected it might be related to Boot settings, so I tried changing Boot0 to High, NRST to Low, and various other attempts, but ultimately I couldn't access it. I thought it might be because I didn't set Debug to Serial Wire in SYS, but it seems unrelated.I am using STM32CubeProgrammer as the tool. When I try to access the board using a Chinese-made (purchased on Amazon) ST-LINK/V2, I cannot access it. However, writing was possible on the first attempt with this device.Simply connecting it, the Serial number becomes corrupted, and it cannot be connected.  Therefore, to check if ST-LINK is properly connected, I change Shared to Enable.  Updating Media Then, the Serial number is displayed correctly. However, when I try to connect in this state, it says there is no target.So, when I revert Sha

I want to implement a custom bootloader and load the firmware through that. My board is STM32H750XB and according to the data sheet it says, it contains a single sector (sector 0) of 128kB which is user programmable. My question ,  is it possible to program the bootloader and the firmware separately to the same sector, because when I flash the firmware after flashing the bootloader, it erases the bootloader and writes only the application to the given memory address.

Hello,I have a question about X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 Evaluation Board.The evaluation board is configured with a differential antenna by default, but I would like to change it to a single-ended antenna.Is there any guidelines I can use when making changes? Best Regards,

This is my first time asking something in ST's Forum. I am trying to build class-D amplifier with STA309A codec from ST. I am using STM32 MCU as a Master Transmitter for audio. The codec has 8 input channels for serial audio data, LRCLK, MCLK & BCLK. As of my knowledge, I2S can only transmit in stereo mode. How do I play more than 2 channels for STA309A's Inputs. Apologies for my bad English.

We have a dial gauge in the center of the screen and are getting stretched-out images of the dial, What is the solution to keep it in 1:1 ratio?MCU-STM32F750TFT-50 PIN 800X480BIT DEPTH-16BITIDE-STM32CUBEIDE

Hello together,does anyone know how I can implement multiple USB device classes on a STM32?I want to use the CDC so a VCP and the DFU class so I can communicate with my chip and drive an update if needed. I am working with a STM32L452RE.It must be possible, it is the standard functionality of every ST-Link V2/V3 debugger that exists.In the CubeMx you can not set this, is that documented somewhere? Unfortunately I haven't found anything yet.Thanks for your assistance!

Hi there, should anyone recommend an I2C module for communicating with STWLC-GUI ??I have one already, but I need one more.Thanks.

Dear STM32 team,I want to thank you, honestly, for a really great MCU chip. Well done.(just as my friendly feedback to you and company)When I say, the STM32U5xx is a really "cool" MCU - I mean two things:It is really cool, in terms of temperature:I am impressed: my board (with few external components, like LDOs, LED, OSC) draws just 20mA (in full-speed mode) - very impressive.And the die temperature remains almost with ambient temperature, 29C (in a 20C room) - very impressive.But "cool" means also to me having some nice features:I like the OCTALSPI: very nice to have now a free user QuadSPI interface:just: it would be nice to use OCTALSPI also as a regular "full-duplex" SPI interface, like any other SPI,in single-SPI mode (it is still a half-duplex SPI interface, instead, not a full-duplex as any other "regular" SPI)I like the memory size, esp. in a STM32U5A5 chip (huge flash memory, huge SRAM, even better as a STM32H7xx MCU, "cool")I like the new and additional features like CORDIC a

 Does anyone know the exact pin-out of these five pins? I cant find anything in the documentation. Hoping it will allow me to use an external programmer.

Today, I tried installing CubeIDE so I could get a sample project up and running to evaluate against a Nucleo 144 board.  This is my second attempt, and both times I get this error.  Nothing in the manual, cannot find nothing on Google either.  The IDE is *so* heavy, my mac struggles like notihng I have seen before, closing a window (like the product selector) takes more than 10 seconds where you are locked waiting for it.  Not to be deterred I am hoping the experience gets better... although based on past work I will probably end up trying Platform.io which seems far better than the Eclipse based IDEs'Anyway, frustrations aside, any idea what this error means and how I get past it?Thanks in advance..Gerry

Recently working with spi communication in stm32g070rb using stm32CubeIDE (HAL library).SPI master receive interrupt triggered continuosly when there is no interrupt.But same code wrote in SPI slave its works perfectly.I also put Pull down resistorso My main problem is if i configure SPI master Spi rx callback automatically triggered again and again. Slave devices that rx callback function works perfectly. I think if any master mode fault what reason master spi interrupt triggered unwantedlyi have also one doubt if any did not connect miso,mosi,sclk pins to slave devices. i just load the code to master device then i see interrupt rx callback or error occurs. pls provide solution This code works properly in full duplex slave if i set full duplex master or half duplex master does not worksmy clock configuration is set(hopefully correct) i do not use slave select pin for i set this software(one master and one slave) and also give interrupt priority why this only woks slave not master

According to AN4879, PA9 must be used as VBUS Sensing and must not be re-used for other purposes. However, according to CubeMX, PA9 refer to USART1_TX and USART1 is the only port that supports memory reprogramming (STM32F103VET6 Datasheet Section, 2.3.10, "Boot modes") Does it mean that in self-powered devices, USART1 and USB must not be used simultaneously?

Hi guys, this is my first post here on the forum. I'm starting my learning in STM and I created a custom board with a STM32F405RGT6, I followed a basic MCU operation schematic that I found in a video on Youtube, but the MCU is not starting. I did several tests to check if the USB connection was correct, if the voltages also worked well and everything is ok. However, I saw that I really don't get a clock from the crystal, the crystal I'm using is already known to me from other projects. So I'm leaving here a print of the connection schematic and if anyone can give me some light on where to look for the problem that causes the MCU to not start, I would be very grateful.:grinning_face:

In the ADC scan mode in STM32 microcontrollers, the digitized value of all input channels is dumped into ADCx->DR. Is there a register or flags to find out which ADC channel the data currently in the ADCx->DR register```void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc) { if(hadc->Instance == ADC1) { uint16_t adc_data; // Read the converted data from the ADC data register adc_data = ADC1->DR; //I don't know which ADC channel this data is related to // Process the ADC data as needed // ... } } void ADC_Init() { ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig; hadc.Instance = ADC1; hadc.Init.ScanConvMode = ENABLE; hadc.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE; hadc.Init.NbrOfConversion = 2; // Number of channels to convert hadc.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc.Init.ExternalTrigConv = ADC_SOFTWARE_START; hadc.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc.Init.NbrOfDiscConversion = 1; if (HAL_ADC_Init(&hadc) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } // Configure the AD
