Hello everyone, I hope you're having a great day. I was planning on buying this STM32 NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q Board but as I was reading the user manual for the board, I realized there were no GPIO connectors for the board but rather there were these "ST Morpho pin headers",I was wondering where the GPIOs were but as I did some experimenting with STM32CubeMX I discovered that I can set the pins in the ST Morpho Pin Headers to GPIO input or Output. Does this mean I can use these headers as the GPIOs of the Nucleo board or are these meant for something else entirely? I'm sorry if this is a silly question but if anyone can help me clear this up I would be very grateful.

Hello STM32 Community,I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working on a project that involves integrating Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication into an STM32CubeIDE project. Specifically, I am facing a challenge in reading the updated values of BLE Write Characteristics from a mobile client.Here's a brief overview of my setup:Microcontroller: STM32wb seriesIDE: STM32CubeIDECommunication: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)I have successfully implemented the BLE communication, and I can write data from the mobile client to the STM32 device. However, I am struggling to read the updated values of the Write Characteristics on the STM32 side.If any of you have experience or expertise in this area, I would greatly appreciate your guidance on the following:How can I set up my STM32CubeIDE project to efficiently handle updates to BLE Write Characteristics?What functions or callbacks should I use to capture and process the updated values from the mobile client?I have thoroughly reviewed

Hi,I have a Nucleo-U5A5ZJ-Q board which i replace the mcu with a STM32U5A9ZJT6.I'm trying to use LTDC to control a 800x480 LCD (WF50FTYAGDNN0#) via RGB888.Eventually running touchgfx, but I have fallen over at the first hurdle.I have read many tutorials and forum posts and no one seems to have the same issue as me. I started a blank project and followed thishttps://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/board-bring-up/how-to/03-display-internalBut my display remains a black screen, I then probed PD3 (LTDC_CLK) where I expected the 25Mhz clock signal that was configured, but saw nothing. I also tried switching the pins "Max output speed" to Very High as I saw somewhere that this was required.I then switched PD3 to GPIO_Output and toggled it to make sure connections are correct. Is there something wrong with my clock setup? I tried a test of toggling a pin in the while loop with a 1ms delay and the scope says a full cycle took 4ms instead of the expected 2ms... but then I s

Hi,using the code below, the device will not run when set to 250 MHz (PLL1DIVR = 99). Hi, I am trying to generate profiler FW for my board (B-G431B-ESC1), I have checked the "Motor Profiler" checkbox and created the project for STM32CubeIDE. In the "MCSDK_v6.2.1-Full\MotorControl\MCSDK\MCLib\Any\Src" I am missing 3 files:mp_hall_tuning.cmp_one_touch_tuning.cmp_self_com_ctrl.cI do see the corresponding .h files in "..\Inc"I tried the same with MCSDK 6.2.0, same result. Thanks, Yoav

Using the STM32U5xx MCU - I see that PA4 on STM32U5A5 can be OCTOSPI1_NSS signal as well as SPI1_NSS signal.Now, I want to use SPI1 in parallel with OCTOSPI1 (as QuadSPI). The SPI1 should be a SPI Slave Rx where OCTOSPI1 is my master QSPI Tx.I want to know this:If PA4 is configured, via ALT, as OCTOSPI1_NSS (output)can I configure SPI1 to use HW_NSS signal (also PA4), as an inputand the output signal on PA4 as OCTOSPI1_NSS is routed back as input to SPI1_NSS?What I understand:When I would configure PA4 as SPI1_NSS (via ALT) - it would become an input. OCTALSPI1_NSS would be disconnected as an output.But what if I leave it as a OCTALSPI1_NSS but I configure SPI1 to use HW_NSS signal (but without ALT again)?Would it be connected to the same PA4 signal, but internally, to read how OCTALSPI1_NSS is driven?I mean: can a signal, driven as an output, still be used as an INTERNAL input (for another device)?Actually, I guess the answer:How would SPI1 know which pin signal to use as HW NSS? I have a problem with USB initialization on those specific MCUs. Initialization function generated automatically by CubeMX hangs on USB_CoreReset function. Specifically on USB_OTG_GRSTCTL_CSRST bit which doesn't want to set after the reset. The Cube examples (which are working) use USBPD library only which source is not given so I can't see how initialization is done there.With older USB32U5 where USB_FS phy is embedded everything works fine. Any ideas what should I change to make it working? My goal is to use it with tinyusb library since I don't want to use Azure RTOS or any RTOS in my project

I have a project with a STM32H747. I don't use the DSI functionality. I left DSI_CKP, DSI_D0P, DSI_D1N, DSI_D0N, DSI_CKN, and DSI_D1P unconnected. Can I also leave VDDDSI and VCAPDSI unconnected?

Trying to connect to a STM32H723ZGT6 for the first time. Does the ST/LINK-V/2 have to use the JTAG connection on this device as I feel it probably does? The 4 pin connection being for the STM8 only? I attendded a trainning last year on STM32WL5M, we were told this product will be available 2024 January. I have been checking but looks like is not available.Do anyone have information when this product will be available?

We are having 6 proto boards and out of 6 boards only 3 are working properly, I'll outline my observations: Similarities: All six boards can be programmed/erase the flash.Physically, the orientation of all components is the same for every board.Each board has a proper clock and reset.The BOOT0 pin is pull-downed on all boards.All boards show the same VCAP pin voltage (1.3V). Differences: In working three boards, the board is working as expected, but in the other three, it seems it is not running the program.The overall current consumption of the working board is about 20mA, while the non-working boards have an overall current consumption of about 9mA. Actions taken on the boards: Tested a LED blinking code with an external clock configuration and debugged it on both boards: Previously working board's LED is blinking as expected.Previously non-working board's LED is not blinking. Used the same code with an internal clock configuration and debugged

hi,DMA setting is in NORMAL mode i am getting output GPIO-C Port  via tim2_up .HAL_DMA_Start_IT(&hdma_tim2_up, (uint32_t)pixelclock, (uint32_t)&(GPIOC->ODR), 2);it's working fine but i need to enable call back once data is  transferred  .the following  Xfercpltcallback is ""not working "". void XferCpltCallback(DMA_HandleTypeDef *hdma){flag++;}which  call back i need to use  for DMA data transfer completion

My STM32F303RE is running with an 8MHz crystal feeding into HSE:Using TIM4 I want to generate 700 interrupts per second, but I only get 318.As can be seen TIM4 runs at 64MHz and the following configuration should trigger about 318 interrupts:Using the following formula:(edit note - had a typo in the formula)interrupts_per_second := clock_frequency / (prescaler + 1) / (counter_period + 1)64 MHz / 3 / 30476 = 700The 318 interrupts are way off the expected 700 and I just can't figure why. Any ideas are highly appreciated.Thx in advance !Woyzeck

Hi all,I'm investigating what I need to be able to update the firmware on my custom STM32 board (with either an STM32H7 or STM32F7 MCU) from a C#/C++ Microsoft Visual studio application via USB. This is for Windows 7/10/11.I found STSW-STM32080 but it says not recommended for new designs and that it was replaced by STM32CubeProgrammer (CLI specifically). I want my application to do the upgrading of the firmware without the customer having to install any additional software (like STM32CubeProgrammer).Does STM32CubeProgrammer have any redistributable libraries to do this? Is there a better way to do this?Thanks

is some buddy can help me with ST25R3911BDISCOComm.dll I want to present password and write password  what is the appy to use to pressent the password and write and some decumention about the appy   thanks  Eliahu Roash

Can you provide more specific codes for the ST25R3918? I need to program the chip for both card emulator mode, and reader mode.I'm highly interested in knowing the correct registers configuration as well as the NDEF protocol.Best regards,Cairo

Hi,I've STM32CubeIDE v1.14.1 on a Windows10 PC. I've NUCLEO-G0B1RE board and I've created my workspace with a standard project starting from the NUCELO ioc configuration. I can build the project and upload the .elf file on the uC with STM32CubeProgrammer software, no problem, it works.When I try to Run or Debug the project from the STM32CubeIDE, nothing happens; also if I try to add some lauch configuration from Properties->Run/Debug Settings menu, nothing happens......Another strange thing is that in the Build Analyzer tab I have no info about memory usage.... Is there a way to solve?Thanks!

I want to copy STEVAL-SMARTAG and have made the same circuit board to connect max6675(PB1 connect CS, PA5 connect SCK, PA7 connect SO), where the temperature is 12-bit data, so write the SMARTAG_ADDR_MINMAX_P_ACCV address, the following is the relevant code, Can the temperature data be read correctly through NFC?float K_Temperature ; char temperaturebuffer[30] = { 0xD1, 0x01, 0x1B, 0x54, 0x02, 0x65, 0x6E }; /* beginning of Active log */ if(ReadSensorAndLog & SYNC_EVENT) { /* Init SmarTag sensor */ if(NFC_EEPROM_Data.LogMode != SMARTAG_LOGMODE_ACTIVE_THS) { InitSmarTagSensor(); } /*SensorDataToCompactData();*/ K_Temperature=MAX6675_ReadTemperature(); sprintf(&temperaturebuffer[7], "Temperature: %.2f C", K_Temperature); SMARTAG1_NFCTAG_WriteData(Instance, (uint8_t *)temperaturebuffer, SMARTAG_ADDR_MINMAX_P_ACCV, strlen(temperaturebuffer) + 1); } /* end of activelog */

Can I change its code? void MX_NFC7_NDEF_URI_Init(void){ SmarTag_LED_GREEN_On(); while( SMARTAG1_NFCTAG_Init(SMARTAG1_NFCTAG_INSTANCE) != NFCTAG_OK ){} /* Reset Mailbox enable to allow write to EEPROM */ SMARTAG1_NFCTAG_ResetMBEN_Dyn(SMARTAG1_NFCTAG_INSTANCE); /* Check if no NDEF detected, init mem in Tag Type 5 */ if( NfcType5_NDEFDetection( ) != NDEF_OK ) { CCFileStruct.MagicNumber = NFCT5_MAGICNUMBER_E1_CCFILE; CCFileStruct.Version = NFCT5_VERSION_V1_0; CCFileStruct.MemorySize = ( ST25DV_MAX_SIZE / 8 ) & 0xFF; CCFileStruct.TT5Tag = 0x05; while( NfcType5_TT5Init( ) != NFCTAG_OK ) ; } SmarTag_LED_GREEN_Off(); } /** * @brief Process of the NDEF_URI application * @retval None */ void MX_NFC7_NDEF_URI_Process(void) { char str[] = "Hello, NFC!"; const uint16_t size = strlen(str) + 1; NfcType5_WriteNDEF(size, (uint8_t *)str); HAL_Delay(300); }&nbs

I am looking into RAM support for the SMT32H750 series chips for my future projects.The STM32H750 series chips support 16-bit data bus as well as 32-bit data bus configuration. This mode is selected on startup, as far as I can tell.If I were to use the STM32CubeMX tool to configure my chip, would a switch from a 16 bit to a 32-bit bus (and vice versa) require a significant re-generation of support code, or would it be realtively easy to toggle this (ignoring the pin reassignments)?I would test this myself but it seems like all development kits for this series have a 16-bit data bus...

Hello,I am using a NUCLEO-H743ZI2.I read the reference manual RM0433 Rev8.I also read a bunch of topics in the forum but didn't find what I wanted. I am trying to check my ADC sampling rate by looking at the timestamp at my half full/full callback from the DMA buffer. For now I don't have an AWG to generate a sine so I don't know other method to do so.In order to do the experiment, I generate a number via the microcontroller and increases it by 100 every second. It goes to the DAC. I put a jumper cable to the ADC1 so I can read the value.I want a sample rate of 10ksample/second with a ADC resolution of 12bits.I changed the value of PLL2 in order to have a ADC frequency of 1.2MHz  Then I tried to guess the link between the ADC frequency and the sampling rate and didn't find a clear formula.From what I understood the formula is something like this:withf_sample = 10 kHz that I wantf_ADC= 1.2MHz that i configured in clock configurationprescaler = 8 that I choose in the ADC p
