Good morning,I am building a system with stm32 wl55jc1 to count water flow with a pulse flow meter.So I created two internal clocks in stm32 one to create a time window and the other that counts each pulse received from the sensor. At the trigger of the first clock I check how many pulses the second clock counted and get the instantaneous flow rate.I put an LED in parallel with the signal to visually see the pulses. The problem is that the count the clock makes and the pulses I see do not match.I would like to ask for some documentation on the input voltage and so that I can design my RC circuit as best I can (as I am convinced that the problem is electrical). thanks for your time, greetings Roberto

Please I need someone to review the code I wrote I double checked few times but am probably missing some info and configuration. I want to display red color on display module by only setting bits in the register. Here is the provided code. Someone please help I am working on a homework project. #include <stdint.h> #include "stm32h7b3xxq.h" #include "reg_util.h" #include "main.h" void SystemClockSetup(void); void VcoreSetup(void); void LTDC_Peripheral_Init(void); void LTDC_Peripheral_Setup(void); int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClockSetup(); VcoreSetup(); LTDC_Peripheral_Init(); LTDC_Peripheral_Setup(); /*Loop forever */ for (;;); } void VcoreSetup(void) { //Povecaj wait states i latency FLASH->ACR |= (3 << 4); FLASH->ACR |= 0b0111; //Disable SMP //PWR -> CR3 &= ~(PWR_CR3_SMPSEN); //Disable Bypass //PWR -> CR3 &= ~(PWR_CR3_BYPASS); //Wait for ACTVOSRDY bit //while(!REG_READ_BIT(PWR -> CSR1,PWR_CSR1_ACTVOSRDY_Pos));

Hi all,I've got a custom Assert Failure Handler ready to go, and I'm wondering if there's a good way to display assert information (file name/line number) after an assertion has happened in the MVP context? I'm thinking the only way to do this is to write directly to frame buffers? Is there HAL code available for the H7 (using custom hardware with an STM32H750 chip) to do something like this? Or is there a better solution available within TouchGFX?

Hi, we are using an ST25R3911B NFC reader. Is it possible to drive this chip without a crystal, and use a generated clock source instead (coming from an MCU)? We found the following article on your forum: https://community.st.com/t5/st25-nfc-rfid-tags-and-readers/is-it-possible-to-use-a-clock-oscillator-instead-of-quartz/td-p/301081, but for some reason we are not getting it to work. The input clock we use looks OK when using a oscilloscope. We configured the tana_7, as well as the OSC bit, but is seems not to give an analog field (but we are able to communicate to the reader over SPI).If this is possible, what is the moment that these registers need to be configured?

"Hi, I'm working on an EV project. We're attempting to implement the CAN bus protocol on STM32. I'm wondering if there's a way to communicate between two STM32s using the CAN bus without using a module?"

Hello, 2 MEMS microphones share a common Clock (PB3, ADF1_CCK0) and Data (PB4, ADF1_SDI0) of a STM32U585QI.Using ADF the PDM signal is processed successfully. It processes either the data of the either falling or rising edge depending on setting Init.FilterBistream to MDF_BITSTREAM0_FALLING or MDF_BITSTREAM0_RISING.For the second microphone an MDF1_Filter0 instance is used. It is used with the same Init and Config data as the ADF instance.For ADF an MDF the calls to HAL_MDF_Init HAL_MDF_AcqStart are both successful.But then HAL_MDF_PollForAcq is only sucessful or ADF, but for the MDF instance it always returns HAL_TIMEOUT.Does the MDF need to be configured differently? How must the ADF and MDF be configured to use both MEMS microphones with shared data and clock?Does the MDF require other clock divisors?I checked the examples inhttps://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeU5There is only 1 example using rising and falling edge. Both filter are MDF in thi

Hello,I need exact part number for smd diode GB4 or maybe G84, which I have attached the image.Thanks.

I have attached my project. I am running it on a NUCLEO-F429ZI Board. I am using FreeRtos and LWipI have 2 threads/Tasks. The first Task is to initialize LWIP and to read some ADC from DMAThe lcd Task is to display text on a 2" LCD through SPII have also added a server TCP/IP initialization through the first taskEverything seems to work until I start communicating with a TCP Client. After a few communication from the client to the server, all my tasks hangs. (See Logic Plot)And when I pause the debugger, it seems to be stuck in a semaphoreTake as shown on the screenshot of CUBEIde Anyone has an idea of what is going on ? Thank you

Hi, I am reading from IMP34DT05 (master receive, PDM), and I always receive 0x00 0x7F 0xFF 0xFF ...and 0xFF's, ever after, until reset of SAI (disable-enable). Playing sound into mic has no effect. In debugger, immediately upon SAI enabled, FIFO is full and underrun flag is on, before any data is read. Here is my current ioc config:And register values, just in case (WB55):Mic L/R is on GND. Mclk is 50MHz.I tried different configs with same result; frame synchro length, 8/16kHz, rising/falling edge.Where am I wrong?

Hi all,One small doubt on the tamper configuration, is it possible to configure both active and Passive tamper in the Same project/API, or  both should be in different project/API. why this doubt is as Seed is not required for Passive tamper, so does it effect the passive tamper implantation if we implement in the same project.

I'm encountering difficulties modifying option bytes on an STM32H723VEH6 microcontroller using a custom C# bootloader. Although the bootloader successfully loads firmware onto the microcontroller, it fails to modify option bytes BOOT_CM7_ADD0 and BOOT_CM7_ADD1 despite following the correct sequence outlined in the reference manual.If anyone has a code example demonstrating the correct implementation of modifying option bytes using a custom C# bootloader?public void ModifyOptionBytes(uint bootCm7Add0, uint bootCm7Add1){      UnlockFlashCR();      UnlockFlashOPTCR();      // Write the desired new option byte values in the corresponding option registers      WriteOptionBytes(bootCm7Add0, bootCm7Add1);     // Set the option byte start change OPTSTART bit to 1 in the FLASH_OPTCR register     SetOptionByteStartChange();}

Hi all,I created a dual core project for STM32H745 Disco board. I'm using the cubeIDE and I said "yes" to set all peripheral to their default values. I wonder which core (CM4 or/and CM7) is booting and which was not. The reference manual (RM0399) says that this depends on the settings of BCM4, BCM7, BOOT_C1 and BOOT_C2. But BCM4 and BCM7 show "X" as the reset value.Looking at the actual code in each main file it looks like both cores are booting. CM4 sets a semaphore and goes to sleep waiting for CM7 to configure the system clock (SystemClock_Config()) and release the semaphore to enable CM4 to continue to run.Is this correct? What are the reset values for BCM4 and BCM7? Can the system clock be configure in CM4 instead of CM7?Thanks.

Hi.Im using the ST X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 expansion board and i want to read the HEX Memory of a NFC-V Tag like the ST-Tab App..Im using the NFC08A1_HelloWorld.ino (github.com/stm32duino/X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1) and it says:ISO15693/NFC-V card found. UID: E00225031E35CNDEF NOT DETECTED (ndefPollerNdefDetect returns 5)Operation completedThe NDEF format is not correct, i know. Thats why i need to modify the code to make a RAW Memory Data read.Does somebody know what functions i can use with the RFAL or what needs to be modified to archieve that?Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,I would like to know if Nucleo-H563ZI board could be used as a USB host, using the user USB (CN13). I'm asking because I'm a bit confused, honestly - I've only found examples where it's being used as a device and the board manual seems to mention only as device and sink only for the CN13 connector. OTOH, in CubeIDE, after starting a new project based on this board, the USB and USBX can be configured as host, without any restriction. And, if it's possible, should UCPD1 and USBPD be enabled along with USB and USBX, or it's enough to call HAL_PWREx_EnableVddUSB at the end of HAL_HCD_MspInit? Basically, what I want to implement is reading VID, PID and SN from a USB storage device plugged in CN13 and printing them over USART3.Thanks!

I am trying to implement application with password access and change option. Please suggest a way to store password/user data in flash memory. Are there any APIs or applicaiton note for more information?

Hi!I have a problem with reading data from MPU-6500 gyroscope/accelerometer (Arduino-module GY-6500/GY-9250). I am using the I2C protocol. When reading the WHO_AM_I_REG register ( with address = 0x75 ) I always get the number 0x70, although all publications say it should be 0x68. According to the document "MPU-6000 and MPU-6050 Register Map and Descriptions", Rev. 4.2: "The default value of the register is 0x68".To read the register I use the function: HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c1, (uint16_t)(0x68<<1), (uint16_t)0x75, i2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT, (uint8_t *)res, 1, 1000). The variable "res" always returns with the number 0x70 instead of 0x68. There were attempts on STM32F091, STM32L152, STM32F722 controllers (on Nucleo boards). The pull-up resistors are 4.7k ohms. Exchange rate 100k and 400k - the result is the same. Checking the exchange observation of signals SCL, SDA by a logic analyzer shows that on the bus I2C write / read occur without errors.What am I doing wrong? Maybe Arduino-mo

Hello ST Community,I'm developing a USB CDC communication project on an STM32L476RET6 microcontroller, using STM32CubeIDE. While I can successfully receive data from a PC using PuTTY, I'm facing a challenge with transmitting data back to the PC using the CDC_Transmit_FS function.Environment:MCU: STM32L476RET6IDE: STM32CubeIDEUSB Configuration: Configured as a CDC Virtual COM PortOS: Windows 10Issue Description: Data reception from the PC works flawlessly. However, when attempting to transmit data back using CDC_Transmit_FS, the function seems to never complete. The code gets indefinitely stuck waiting for hcdc->TxState to reset to 0, which, based on my understanding, should happen via an interrupt once the transmission completes.Troubleshooting Done:Confirmed correct USB descriptor configurations.Debugged to pinpoint that the halt occurs during data transmission, specifically waiting for hcdc->TxState to reset.Questions:Are there any known issues with USB CDC on STM32L476RET6 tha

Hi,I would like to write a CAN application. The ioc assigns PA12 and PA11 as CAN Tx and CAN Rx respectively. However, when I checked the headers on board, I can not find out these pins.Am I missing something ?Thank you.

Hi,I have converted ST Link into J link by performing instructions here.Afterwards, I converted J-Link into ST Link. But, I can not use ST Link driver. I can not connect to the board via ST Link. I get this error below. Could anyone help me with this please ? I have connected the board directly to the USB port on PC, not via hub or deck.I have checked that, ST-Link Debug is seen under device manager.

Hi all,I am using SPC582B mcu.The system timer is based on PIT0 CH0 (default choice) at frequency 1kHz.In the timer IRQ handler, I need to invoke SPI spi_lld_exchange API. Problem is this API doesn't complete, remaining stuck on the whileSPC5_SPI_WAIT_FOR_TXRX_COMPLETION(spip);   SPI APIs are configured synchronous: I already activated the preemptable ISR option in the configuration: Since I don't know if the priority level is ascending or not, I tried both priority situations, that is: System timer (PIT0 CH0) priority: 4                    DSPI0 priority: 10System timer (PIT0 CH0) priority: 10                  DSPI0 priority:4  Is these some configuration flag or API to call in order to make this SPI API working? Thank you all for any help or indication,FP

Hello,We have switched from STM32g071 128kb flash to stm32g0b1rct6 with 256kb flash.We are able to flash the application binary from ST-LINK in STM32 cubeprogrammer. but, not via UART protocol.We are using the default STM32 system bootloader. We have used option bytes to force the MCU to jump to bootloader and start flashing via UART in STM32Cube programmer. But, we are not able to connect the stm32 Cube programmer tool to MCU. the command 0x7F is being sent from the Cubeprogrammer ,but there is not response from the new MCU. So, flashing sequence is not staring.I would really appreciate, if I can get some help to solve this issue.Thanks in advance.

I am using STM32H753ZI for my project. My use case is I want to detect brown out reset after brownout occurs and system restarts.I am checking brownout reset flag using if (__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_BORRST). My query is this flag is shared/common between Power On Reset and Brown Out Reset i.e POR/PDR or BOR same as like in STM32F779NI?

I need to write firmware for STM32H7xx to interact with an SPI flash memory chip. (STM32 master, 8-bit, full-duplex polling, no CRC and application controlled #CS.) I am using STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0 and used the device configuration tool to produce my SPI1 configuration code using LL library calls.I encountered problems with code based upon HAL library hanging whilst reading to verify a write. So I wish to use either the Low-Level or register based programming. I have written firmware for SPI peripherals before but this STM32H7xx is a whole new level.Yes, I have read, re-read and read again the RM0468 Reference Manual. The poor English quality and lack of clear procedures do not help. It's like trying to learn a foreign language using a dictionary. I am struggling to find any good material for this family of chips. I have spent days on this and getting nowhere.Thanks.
