Posted on March 03, 2017 at 08:14 Hi all, I am a newbie developer for STM I am developing an application using the STM32F746 Discovery board and KEIL uVision. I need to output two pulses on GPIO that I will feed to another board. The first pulse is a simple PWM with 250kHz frequency and 60% duty cycle. This part was easy as I simply modified the examples of PWM given in DFP 2.8 using HAL library and I outputted it on TIM3 Channel 1. The tricky part is the second pulse. It should start on the falling edge of pulse 1 and out put a fixed number of pulses and then stop and start on next falling edge. The processor should never be involved in this. So I searched for solutions and found that it could be done using One Pulse mode and Repetition Counter register. Also I figured out that only TIM1 and TIM8 have repetition counter. So my question is how can I start the One Pulse Mode with N-Pulse generation using TIM3 Channel 1 falling edge as trigger? The reason I am asking is because in t

Hello everybody!Can anybody advise me on a simple way to emulate EEPROM for STM32f… MCU?Right now I need it for STM32f373C8T6 MCU.Yes I have X-CUBE-EEPROM, but there is no “STM32F” series at allYes, I have read the "AN4056 EEPROM emulation in STM32F30x/STM32F31x, STM32F37x/STM32F38x microcontrollers" and have the corresponding code. And of course, it was very useful some 10 years ago, before STM force using their HAL drivers instead of “StdPerif”. But now any attempts to use it inside native STM32Cube IDE lids to errors because of incompatibility between these two drivers.I understand how to emulate the EEPROM, but to be honest, I have no wish to do it by hand. And I wonder if nobody needs EEPROM in their projects? Or maybe is there so simple way that I can’t see it myself?So help, please! Show me the way, how to use emulated EEPROM for STM32f373C8T6 MCU (and any STM32F MCU) with HAL, or even better LL drivers?

I want to use the OV5642 camera with the STM32F7508-DK card and display the image I take from the camera on the LCD screen on the card.Is this possible? If it is possible, can you help me how to do this?

I designed a card that uses Stm32f446 and many sensors, but although the other sensor on the I2C line works, I cannot even get an I2C OK response from the LSM6SDL. I don't think there is a mistake in the design, but I am sharing it with you anyway, thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,We have been using TouchGFX for our interfaces with a screen that has the following specifications (see datasheet extract below). We have noticed that in the graphics displayed on the screen, the length and width per pixels are not uniform. Upon further investigation, we found that the pixel pitch on our screen is also not uniform, as highlighted in the datasheet extract below.This inconsistency is particularly noticeable in circular objects. The circular object here is a perfect circle but it displays a bit squished.Is there any solution for this matter that can be resolved through device configuration settings, such as a scaling factor in the x/y directions that we can configure? or please feel free to suggest any workarounds for this issue.Thanks,

I am starting working with STM32. I need to establish a CAN Communication Protocol of STM32F103 (a blue pill board essentially) with Texas Instrument TMS320F28234. I have already established and successfully tested the CAN Protocol at the TMS320F28234 side. Can anyone please share with me some example program for CAN Communication Protocol using STM32F103? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Can you Help me anyone?I Use the STM32H503RBT6 Nucleo Board, this is a new board, and I Tried to Connect the board with my PC using a Type C Connector But the Target is not Detect it on my PC.I updated the Stlink drivers and I checked the jumpers on the board, and that's all correct, then after I tried, it did not work, I tried to update the firmware on the board using St-Link utility software but it did not detect it.I Using Keil software the Target does not detect it, but the Board LEDs or working well PWR led Glow Properly, and COM LED glows Red color onlySTM32H5 SeriesPlease help to resolve the problem

Hello, I am recently getting back to ST discovery boards. I cannot seem to find the schematics for STMf411RE, I have only found VE that has a different layout. I am trying to bare bone control the LED Thanks

Hey All,I made my first STM32 board using STM32G0B1RE, it arrived today, since it's blank I expected the MCU to jump into bootloader and start the DFU, however this did not happen, MCU was not detected at all by the USB, I checked further and USB DP was not pulled high which was unexpected. To check if the MCU has been entered the bootloader I check the UART TX and I2C SCK pins, and they are indeed high, indicating that MCU was indeed entered the bootloader. However, MCU is again not detected by UART. Finally, I decided use another NUCLEO board as a programmer with the SWD interface, again, the MCU is not detected. I expect the SWD interface to work irrespective of bootloader. Pulling up or down the BOOT0 makes no difference. I probed the board, and everything seems normal, voltages connections etc. I have 220 ohms series resistor on the SWD interface, which is little on the high side, but I don't think that should make a difference.  It just seems like MCU ent

Hi,I'm trying to program a hex file generated with 'TrustZone disabled' software model targeting STM32H563ZIT6 (NUCLEO-h563ZI) as:"C:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\bin\STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe" -c port=SWD freq=4000 sn=040917021e8903bf00000000000000000000000097969906 -d C:/Users/WCarey/repositories/projects/keil/stm32h563zi/Release/Objects/ucomm_example.hex -gThis results in the error:So, I changed the access port to 1:"C:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\bin\STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe" -c port=SWD freq=4000 ap=1 sn=040917021e8903bf00000000000000000000000097969906 -d C:/Users/WCarey/repositories/projects/keil/stm32h563zi/Release/Objects/ucomm_example.hex -gThough the serial number is correct, there's a DEV_CONNECT_ERR. The hex has NOT been loaded properly because when I try to open up a serial monitor like Teraterm, I am unable to receive any data.Can anyone point out how to load the hex file?Thanks in advance.NOTE: I am able

I have a STM32F303 connected to a L9616 as displayed below.  The pullup resistor R3 is not present any more. Please ignore it. Vdd is 3.3V but, as can be seen, I have set Vs to 5V, believing that was necessary to make the CAN BUS work. With an oscilloscope channel connected between CAN_BUS_H and GND I can see a Tx pulse train, but STM32 HAL reports state 2 and error 43 (0x2B) after transmission. If I understood well, this means 0x20 + 0x10 + 0x1 which leads me to believe that the following three errors are occurring: #define HAL_CAN_ERROR_EWG (0x00000001U) /*!< Protocol Error Warning */#define HAL_CAN_ERROR_FOR (0x00000010U) /*!< Form error */#define HAL_CAN_ERROR_ACK (0x00000020U) /*!< Acknowledgment errorBesides that reported error, the most annoying fact is that I tried many ways to fire the Rx Callbacks on another node with similar configurations, without success. When investigating the problem I measured, on the reception node, CAN_TX at 3.3V and CAN_RX a

Hello.I have encountered an issue during the migration from STM32WB5MMG to STM32WB1MMC.When I generate the default code using CubeMX with STM32WB1MMC, no errors occur. However, when I try to transfer the code I was using with STM32WB5MMG to STM32WB1MMC, errors arise. Of course i have undergone the migration from STM32WB5MMG to STM32WB1MMC. Below, I'll outline my current situation. During compilation with IAR, I ran into an error.  Upon checking the source size via the map file, it appears as follows: After examining the RAM size, it seems that the capacity of SRAM1 is less than 12K. I believe this shouldn't cause a compilation error.What actions can I take to address this issue?

I tried to enable RXNEIE with following code: USART2->CR1 = (USART_CR1_TE | USART_CR1_UE | USART_CR1_RE | USART_CR1_RXNEIE);  But when I checked CR1 register, it's still set to 0: gdb: x /8ub 0x40004400 0x40004400: 45 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 I checked the manual and there is no requirement for any pre-conditions before enabling the RXNEIE bit. Did I just miss something?

I am trying to build a uart implementation from scratch to learn the Stm32, but such a code implementation seems to cause my Stm32F030 to go into Reset_Handler state.What might be wrong with my code? Thanks in advance!  void uar2_rx_tx_init(void) { USART2->CR1 = (USART_CR1_TE | USART_CR1_UE | USART_CR1_RE | USART_CR1_RXNEIE | USART_CR1_TCIE | USART_CR1_TXEIE); RCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_GPIOAEN; RCC-> APB1ENR |= UART2EN; GPIOA->MODER ^= ~(1U<<6); GPIOA->MODER |= (1U<<7); GPIOA->AFR[0] |= (1U<<12); GPIOA->AFR[0] &= ~(1U<<13); GPIOA->AFR[0] &= ~(1U<<14); GPIOA->AFR[0] &= ~(1U<<15); //USART2->CR3 |= RCC_CFGR3_USART2SW_SYSCLK; uart_set_baudrate(USART2, APB_FREQ, UART_BAUDRATE); } uint16_t uart2_read(void) { while(!(USART2->ISR & USART_CR1_RXNEIE)) { } return USART2->RDR; } static void uart_set_baudrate( USART_TypeDef *USARTx, uint32_t PeriphClk, uint32_t BaduRate) { USARTx-

Hello,I would like to use TCXO (25 MHz) for timing STM32L071. It doesn't really work for me. When I put a scope probe behind C1, a signal can be seen in the picture. (some 27 Hz). Do you know what's wrong? The power supply for TCXO is 3.3Please any idea? Thank you.

Hi there,I am trying to extend an SDRAM(W9825G6KH-6) for my homemade board with STH32H743IIT6.According to the SDRAM datasheet:I want to set the FMC clock to 130MHz with CL=2.So the MCU clock config is as follows:and according to the SDRAM datasheet:I config the SDRAM as this:But the cubeMx presents some error about the "Write recovery time" param.My question is:1. How to calculate the FMC SDRAM params according to the SDRAM datasheet?2. What do the "SDRAM common clock" and the "SDRAM common read pipe delay" mean and how to decide their value?I am very quezz about it.Thanks for your kind help.

Hello Team, I have connected the STM32H723ZI2 board to the PC, i could see the virtual drive connection to the PC, but when I use the embedded coder support and generate code and try to flash the board it showing No board connection to the board.

Hi,I use a STM32G030. The application works fine when we compile it with option -O0 (no optimize).It fails when we using the function HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start() for the calibration of the ADC.This function returns the fail at the follow location:The calibration is started as follow:HAL_ADC_Stop(hdlr->pHadc);HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(hdlr->pHadc);Why returns this function an error only when the compiler option is greater than -O0?Now when the functions returns an error the function/ADC is locked.Is this normal or should be not there for the return __HAL_UNLOCK(hadc)?

Hi,I've faced an issue while attempting to build the project using the command line in STM32CubeIDE:./stm32cubeide --launcher.suppressErrors -nosplash -application org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.core.headlessbuild -data "$WORKSPACE_PATH" -build "$PROJECT_NAME"Although the build works fine when initiated directly from STM32CubeIDE, I faced the following issue:******************************************************************************************************************* Build of configuration Release for project OSV3_Logic ****make -j16 all....arm-none-eabi-gcc "../Core/Src/Test/unitTest.c" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -std=gnu11 -DUSE_HAL_DRIVER -DSTM32WB55xx -c -I../../Middlewares/Third_Party/coreJSON/core_json.c -I../Core/Inc -I../Core/Inc/Communication -I../Core/Inc/Utils -I../Drivers/STM32WBxx_HAL_Driver/Inc -I../Drivers/STM32WBxx_HAL_Driver/Inc/Legacy -I../Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/include -I../Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/CMSIS_RTOS_V2 -I../Middlewares/Third_Party/

Hi to everybody.I'm struggling to figure out this issue: I got a "NMI_Handler" error...uint32_t *p = (uint32_t*)0x08080000UL; uint32_t val = *p; //here jump to NMI_HandlerIf I put the addr to 0x08070000UL (e.g.) no probelm.I'm using a STM32H562RGTX with 1MB of flash. I know that a 2MB need a back swtich... But why in 1MB?How I can handle this?Thanks in advance.

Hello,I have been struggling to make this post because I wanted to post a very clear question after I had found the source of the problem. However, I have been working on this problem nightly for two weeks now and even still I can't pinpoint precisely what / where my program is going wrong. However, no matter what I seem to do, trying to get my STM32F4 to do anything useful will cause a fault anywhere between 5 seconds to 5 minutes later.Code:- https://github.com/DerekSavage1/Word-Clock-Rev-3Hardware:- STM32F411CE on custom circuit board (can provide schematics)- 24 Mhz external crystal- 32.768kHz external RTC crystalThe steps that I have taken:- Commented out sections of code until it worked. The program will only work if the while loop is empty or only declares a variable. - Converted most arrays to switch statements to avoid memory errors- Enabled all warnings with -WPedantic- Rewrote the matrix logic in a file on my computer without HAL calls and checked with all warning

First time i set up SPI, not using HAL.In the debug, i see that not a single bit is set.What am i doing wrong?  SPI_HandleTypeDef spiHandle; spiHandle.Instance = SPI2; // SPI_CR1_CPOL SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_256); // CPOL = 0 SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_POLARITY_LOW); // CPHA = 1 SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_PHASE_2EDGE); // MSB is default // We are Master SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_MODE_MASTER); // Active SPI SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR1, SPI_CR1_SPE); // Frame length SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR2, SPI_CR2_DS_2 | SPI_CR2_DS_1 | SPI_CR2_DS_0); // SS output SET_BIT(spiHandle.Instance->CR2, SPI_CR2_SSOE );

Hello,This is sort of related to my earlier post, and is an effort to uncomplicate things a little.  I have configured a project using X-CUBE-NFC6 on a NUCLEO-L476 and NFC08A1 board.  The demo runs fine, and can detect the different technologies.However, when I comment out the technologies in rfal_defConfig.h and rfal_features.h so that the only technologies used are RFAL_FEATURE_ISO_DEP and RFAL_SUPPORT_MODE_POLL_ACTIVE_P2P (and LISTEN), I cannot get two L476 boards with the same software to initiate a AP2P connection.When I load one of the boards with the AP2P_PROP example from the ST25 Embedded Lib examples, however, I can get both boards to communicate.  Two boards with AP2P_PROP also will communicate.  It is only the X-CUBE projects that seem to have the issue.I have spent many, many hours going through debugging both projects to see the difference, but there is none that I can tell.  Is there some analog config difference that would make this happen?

Hello,I'm trying to develop a custom external loader for STM32WL5 device, in a custom board using SPI flash memory Winbond W25Q80DV.In the past I've already developed external loaders successfully for other MCUs and boards.I again followed the steps described by official documentation, hints on this forum, examples in folder bin/ExternalLoader of CubeProgrammer: I set up a new project with CubeIDE, compiled, created .stldr file and copied it in ExternalLoader folder. If I debug the project everything is ok. Besides, opening CubeProgrammer, I correctly see my new external loader in external loader list and information provided are correct.The problem is that when I try to read from the SPI flash mapped address (set to 0x9000 0000 in this case) using CubeProgrammer, the procedure fails. Selecting Verbosity level 3, I can see these messages: 11:11:37:994 : UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode11:11:38:061 : ST-LINK SN : 54FF6906668549541930168711:11:38:062 : ST-LINK
