Hi,how is supposed to work rendering of objects set as "not visible"? My layout is composed of several containers/objects whose visibility is turned on or off at runtime.I've noticed that rendering time is high also when objects are hidden, as if they were always rendered. As a counterproof, I've used the "Animated image" example on an STM32H735G-DK.When animation is off, rendering time (measured on Arduino D2 pin) is approx. 250us; when on, it raises to 800us ca.Setting the animation widget as not visible does not change rendering time: 250us when off, 800us when on despite nothing drawn on display! Am I missing something?TouchGFX v. 4.23.2 Alessandro

Hello,I'm trying to figure out how Unico calculates it feature values during .arff creation.Unfortunately, if I calculate the features as described in AN5804, the feature values differ from the Unico output.I have attached two files, accelerometer samples with five values per axis and the .arff output of Unico for a window size of five (feature mean X/Y/Z/V).Can someone explain how the feature values are calculated by Unico during .arff creation? Best regards

Hi expert, our project is currently in the development stage. We are using the NUCLEO-H753ZI Development Kit for firmware development while awaiting the arrival of our custom board from the manufacturer. The dev-kit employs the STM32H753ZI (LQFP144), which has a slightly different pin configuration compared to the MCU on our custom board STM32H753ZI (LQFP100).During our development process, we encountered an issue with using PC2_C to control SPI2 (SPI2_MISO), where it consistently pulls low. Despite extensive debugging efforts, including configuring the pin as GPIO and measuring with a logic analyzer, the issue persisted. Upon researching similar cases on the ST Community forum STM32H735V (LQFP100) PC2_C and PC3_C speed and FAQ: Default State of STM32H7 switches connecting Pxy_C and Pxy pads, we realized it might be related to a known issue in the STM32H7 family, specifically a bug in the silicon regarding the PC02 pin. After reviewing the documentation and conducting tests on our

We have integrated FREERTOS in the project and checked the communication but getting TXERROR.CAN Driver itself is not getting initialized.

HiWe are trying to use the f746 disco kit as a udp server that writes what it receives to an SD card. The kit is currently connected directly to a PC with ethernet and usb. As this is our first stm project, we tried following several tutorials that are avaialbe online, which we felt were outdated. We couldn't even ping the kit or get the IP we added to show on the computer's "ipconfig". Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

I'm currently working on a project using an STM32F103RET microcontroller. I need to use SPI1 to write log data to a flash chip at an rate of 64 bytes every 20 milliseconds, and use USART3 monitoring external communication, receiving an average of 30 bytes every 10 milliseconds. To minimizing CPU usage, I'm trying use DMA to handle data transmission, and find that SPI1_TX and USART3_RX share a same DMA channel (DMA1,channel 3).The question is, is it possible to use DMA1 Channel 3 for both SPI1_TX and USART3_RX simultaneously on an STM32F103?(My code runing in main loop without RTOS)

I can not find any example for Usart Multiprocessor, It does not work.I config on CubeMx and HAL_MultiProcessor_EnableMuteMode(&huart1);HAL_MultiProcessor_EnterMuteMode(&huart1);put this 2  lines.

Hello, probably some work on the ST website has been done recently . I use Firefox on OpenSuse Leap 15.4 and have Noscripts acitive. Of course ST.com is allowed, but now the Entrace page pulls in several second and third level external scripts. That way, with each visit to the ST entrance page  I have to again accept cookies. Tedious! While all new ST microcontrollers have more and more security, I should allow a lot external sites access to my computer to access st.com and so add a lot of attack vectors to view your page? Please, think again! Beside that, if the Firefox window is not wide enough, page layout gets unusable! Screenshot on request.

Hello, i am unable to compile a touchgfx project.Try #1:Starting from CubeMX, Version 6.10.0 i click on Generate Code. It ends with "The Code is successfully generated under:".  When i click on Src/ApplicationTemplate.touchgfx.part, it opens TouchGFX Designer Version 4.23.1.I start with a "Blank UI" and klick on Import. Then i define there a Box and a Button. Then i click on "Generate Code" it fails with: Generate Code | Failed.Unsupported toolchain: Makefile Here the CubeMX is running on a linux box while TouchGFX Designer is running on a Windows 10 computer. Try #2:I import the .ioc file from CubeMX into STM32 CubeIDE version 1.14.0 with "Import an Existing STM32CubeMX Configuration File (.ioc). I choose target language C++. During import code is generated. The structure looks different compared to generated code in Try #1. When i click TouchGFX/ApplicationTemplate.touchgfx.part it opens TouchGFX Designer.I start with a "Blank UI" and click on Import. Then i define there

We have a custom antenna and reader board setup that uses the ST25R3916 reader chip and I would like to know how to implement the Discovery GUI "Tune Antenna" and "Measure Antenna" commands in my Test Application FW. Specifically, what functions need to be called before and after the st25r3916AatTune() API? I would like to be able to get the tuning results, e.g., AAT A/B, Amplitude, and Phase values.Calling st25r3916AatTune() API by itself doesn't seem to work, e.g., amplitude and phase values returned are zero. I think I'm missing a bunch of steps in order to get this to work correctly.Unfortunately, the HW setup can't be hooked up to the Discovery GUI PC app, hence, the question.Thanks.@tmuhlbauer@device-solutions.com

Sorry, are there has a pin call or used for SD_detect in Stm32l431rct6? I can not find in STM32L431xx Datasheet - production data. These has no mention.I do not know which pin(SD-Detect)should i choose for GPIO_Input of the FATS.

Hello,In STM32C0 RM0490, section 5.4.16, the RCC_AHBSMENR describes the bit SRAMSMEN which can be used to disable the SRAM clock during Sleep mode to save power.  We will be using the STM32C0 in a low-power application and I was wondering if the SRAM contents will be preserved if the SRAM clock is turned off while we are asleep?Typically we will be in Standby (or maybe Shutdown on the C0 instead) mode for long periods and then the MCU will come alive to do a sensor measurement over ~100ms.  During the measurement period we will typically be asleep in between interrupts (of which we will take ~4000 during this period, in a very short IRQ handler with SLEEPONEXIT enabled) and want to save as much power as possible while asleep since this is our "high consumption" phase. Thanks,TG

My input capture interrupt is fired over and over again. But when i put a breakpoint in the interrupt, and resume from it, it does not happen anymore.Timer setup:   // TIM 3 Inputs (Pedal rot - PB5 / Torc PWM - PB1) my_GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_5 | GPIO_PIN_1; my_GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; my_GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &my_GPIO_InitStruct); GPIOB->AFR[0] |= ( GPIO_AFRL_AFSEL1_1 | // AF2 (all) GPIO_AFRL_AFSEL5_1); __disable_irq(); __HAL_RCC_TIM3_CLK_ENABLE(); SET_BIT( TIM3->CCMR1, TIM_CCMR1_CC2S_0); SET_BIT( TIM3->CCMR2, TIM_CCMR2_CC4S_0); // channel is configured as input, tim_ic1 is mapped on tim_ti1, etc... // TODO: filter?? Hello everyone,I'm currently working with the AEK-AUD-C1D9031 development board and utilizing the "AVAS Compact 2.0 - Test Application" example code from AutoDevKitStudio2.2.1. I'm seeking assistance in extending this example code with FreeRTOS. However, upon including FreeRTOS_RLA, I'm encountering issues with CAN communication. During debugging, I noticed that the flow gets stuck at osalThreadDelayMilliseconds(500). Could anyone offer guidance on resolving this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.  Here integrated the freeRTOS into project.Added Break point.4 break points addedIt is hitting 1,3,2 break pointsit is hitting osalThreadDelayMilliseconds(500);(2 break point)heat the program is stopped.

We are starting a new design using the STM32H743 and we were hoping to find device tree source description of this MCU.  Does anyone know if this is available?

How to manually download submodules manually and put them in correct directory structure, for use with Nucleo-WL55JC1 (8xx/9xx MHz)?In https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWL, when I used the Green "code" button to download zip, some directory are empty and failed to locate .c and .h files on build.  TIA

I'm creating a new USB device with a custom USB class on an STM32F779NIH.  We have previously developed a fully operational device doing the same thing with USB full speed, now we're trying to do the same with USB highspeed using an external ULPI. I'm reasonably certain the issue is firmware not hardware. The overall scheme is using bulk transfers to send data out at a periodic rate, say 1ms for example, so 8 microframes will elapse before data is sent back to a read request. The PC read function will blocks until it receives that data which creates a timing loop that turns out is quite resilient compared to Windows timers. Anyway, back to this device, when I run my user application, it will generate a read request for which the device will return a response after 1ms with a set of data which is correctly decoded.  This is repeated 8 times, but on the 8th packet, my device returns no data and a status of 0xC0000011 (which is a USBD_STATUS_XACT_ERROR) according to WireShark:&nb

Hi All,Im working with a Custom board using STM32h743 and an RGB Display with ST7796 driver.I'm configuring SPI to send the right settings to the display for working with RGB pins on LTDC.In effect I done the 90% of work but I don't understand the reason of the effect on the below image:Display draw the screen with wrong pixels: it seems shifted. The original screen created with TouchGFX Designer is:Whitch parameter is the cause of this effect?Does someone has some suggestions? Thanks a lot?

Hi, Can the VBAT pin on this part be left floating? I currently have the pin disconnected. Or should it be tied to VDD or GND in order for the part to function properly?  Thanks,

Hello everyone, I hope you are well.I'm starting a new project using the STM32H573I-DK kit, where I would have to connect to AWS and publish the value of some sensors. The first step was following the webinar https://content.st.com/stm32h5-connects-smart-things-in-a-secure-way.html, I managed to proceed to the part of the video that set the end_point, however, gave the following error:After noticing this error, I tried to check via code what could be happening. Then I realized that it was not possible to debug the code, researching a little I found that you need to put the keys in to enter debug mode, as seen in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOBXqUg-PQs, I did the procedure, however, I still cannot enter debug mode, can anyone help me?Below are the debug configurations used:Thanks in advance!

I chose STM32H753IIT6 MCU for my project. I had set the clock prescaler of ADC to "Asynchronous clock mode divided by 1", and the ADC clock source is PLL2P, 36MHz.The code was generated successfully. However, I found that the sampling rate is half of the theoretical value.I migrate the same code to one STM32H743 developing board, all settings are the same with the STM32H753 project. Everything works properly. Then I set the frequency of PLL2P to 72MHz, CubeMX set the prscaler to "Asynchronous clock mode divided by 2" automatically. I changed it back to "ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1" manually in my code. ADC still works fine and the sampling rate is correct then.Is this a bug?My CubeMX version: 6.4HAL version: 1.9.1

Hi,I've been trying to adapt the current SPI driver in RIOT OS to support the U5 series(STM32U585AI), due to my lack of success I've been trying to sidestep RIOT for a moment and try to do must of the setup manually. But so far I have not been able to get SPI3 to output anything, not even an SCLK signal, leading me to believe that I've just missed something simple like some clock domain etc.  My approach so far:enable HSI clockenable VddIO2select HSI timer for SPI3enable SPI3 peripheralenable GPIO ports B & Greset SPI3 CR1write SPI3 CFG1, CFG2, CR2set SPE, SSI bits in CR1set CSTART in CR1read write to TXDR, RXDRHowever step 8, specifically setting the SPE is where the problem becomes apparent, the SPE bit does not stay enabled. Does anyone have any hints on where to look to get this running? Snippiet I've been using so far, spi_init* and stmclk_enable* are provied by RIOT:   stmclk_enable_hsi(); stmclk_enable_lfclk(); // spi_init(0); // spi_init_pins(0);

Dear all,In the last weeks we have started the production process of a specific equipment, using the new microcontroller STM32G031C6 and unfortunettly we have faced some problems after the programming process. The problem is that some devices were apparently corrupted by removing programmer cable before disconnecting the microcontroller (or because a bad connection) and there is no way to recover them. This is the logging information of Jlink programmer:Connecting ... - Connecting via USB to probe/ programmer device 0 - Probe/ Programmer firmware: J-Link Ultra V4 compiled Sep 22 2022 15:00:10 - Probe/ Programmer S/N: 504502941 - Device "STM32G031C6" selected. - Target interface speed: 4000 kHz (Fixed) - VTarget = 3.323V - InitTarget() start - SWD selected.
