I'm trying to understand the following excerpts from the STM32L476 datasheet, which seem to contradict:In Table 20 - the absolute maximum voltage on the VREF+ pin is given as 4.0V (VREF+ I assume falls under the "other" category). Table 76 seems to indicate that VREF+ can never exceed VDDA. Does this include during power on and power off, or is this just a steady-state condition to satisfy the accuracy performance of the ADC? And if the latter, is it fair to assume that VREF+ can be as high as 4V, even if VDDA is 0V, as Table 20 would suggest?

Premises:- built with gcc version 11.3.1 20220712 (GNU Tools for STM32 11.3.rel1.20230912-1600)- verified on STM32L151RC- cross reference to crc: https://reveng.sourceforge.io/STM32L1xxxx CRC module can compute crcs compliant to the following 4 standards:    - CRC-32/ISO-HDLC*    - CRC-32/JAMCRC    - CRC-32/BZIP2    - CRC-32/MPEG-2(*) ISO-HDLC is implemented in these softwares: WinRar, ExamDiff, FreeCommander, HashMyFiles.CRC module digests one int32 at a time, it doesn't digest byte-per-byte, so the input data must be a stream of m bytes, where m is multiple of 4: m == n * 4, having its base address aligned to uint32_t. That's why the byte stream is passed as uint32_t data[] in the examples.Given the MCU endianness and the CRC module implementation, in order to meet the wanted results each dword must be bit-reflected for ISO-HDLC/JAMCRC while it must be byte-reversed for BZIP2/MPEG-2. Once all the data has been digested, crc

Hi,Does exist inside the Discovery kit with STM32MP135F board a text editor like nano or wim ?And if not how can I install it ?Thank you.Olivier.

Hi, Each time I reboot my Discovery kit with STM32MP135F borad I lost the network (IP V4 address). How can I set the IP address, Does exits somewhere a /etc/network/interface file ? Thank you, Olivier.

Ciao,I am trying to put my STM32wb55 in shutdown mode and wake it up using 2 external pins.Wake-up sources are on PA0 (active high) and PC12 (active low). Those should be PIN1 and PIN3 wake-up sources.This is the code I use to put the device in shutdown mode:void EnterLowPower() { __disable_irq(); __disable_fault_irq();   LL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN);   HAL_PWREx_DisableBLEActivityIT(); HAL_PWREx_Disable802ActivityIT();   HAL_RTCEx_DeactivateWakeUpTimer(&RTC_Handle);   HAL_PWREx_EnablePullUpPullDownConfig();   HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_A, GPIO_PIN_1); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_A, GPIO_PIN_7); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_A, GPIO_PIN_15); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_B, GPIO_PIN_4); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_B, GPIO_PIN_7); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_B, GPIO_PIN_13); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_B, GPIO_PIN_15); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPI

Allow me to vent for a moment while also exposing some real issues.I've found it way too easy for CubeMX and/or CubeIDE to forget or mess up settings and delete my source modification without notice.I am trying to figure out Azure RTOS USBX from all the oddly aimed and targeted examples to get a CDC ACM serial port interface to work on an F746 nucleo board with FS USB. Most of the examples are HS on a H723 or discovery boards with a HS USB transceiver.  I'm also finding the USBX documentation for the class devices to be lackluster. I'm going to just have examine the source code to see how to access it from my application.The one example I tried from the STM32 Wiki was not CubeMX safe as significant parts were not positioned in user code areas.  So the first CubeMX code update deleted code.  That is annoying and I sort of saw it coming.  So I had to copy/reposition code so it wasn't being deleted. I got it compile but it was not recognized by Windows.I pivoted to try

Hello,I am having trouble in getting PC14 and PC15 working as GPIOs on the STM32F401. The reference manual says that "The LSE oscillator pins OSC32_IN and OSC32_OUT can be used as general-purpose PC14 and PC15 I/Os, respectively, when the LSE oscillator is off.". However I still cannot use them as GPIOs, despite disabling LSE. I am aware of the current limit and the backup power domain. In my design Vbat is connected directly to Vdd and I enabled the backup power domain in RCC. Is there some special mode that they need to operate?My design uses external 24kohm pullup resistors on these pins, because I read in the manual that they can only sink current.Currently, my init code does (in the following order):enables backup powerenables access to RTC registers, sets RTC_CR to zero and backup RTC_CR to zeroresets backup domain: sets RCC_BDCR |= (1<<16); waits a while, and sets RCC_BDCR &= ~(1<<16);enables GPIOC in RCC and sets all pins of GPIOC to be outputs, with internal pu

Not a big fan of the new metrics / scoring methods, but that's probably a whole other discussion.Also don't see the online stats on the top/front page, swear I only see user/online counts when not logged in..

Hello All,I hope you're doing well. I'm Ali, a newcomer diving into the embedded world and soaking up knowledge from all of you experienced folks.I've got a new challenge on my plate: I need to establish communication between two platforms—SPC58EC80E7QMC0Y and ESP32WROVEREN8R8—via SPI.Could any seasoned professionals who have tackled a similar task offer guidance on how to approach this? Any tips, advice, or starting points would be greatly appreciated.Best,Ali

In the AutoDevKit,I can't find the demo of AEK-MOT-WINH92 to drive a motor,so where can i find?

hi, Can anyone please help me in USB-HID-Barcode Scanner connection with stm32f722ze.   Normally Barcode Scanner will behave like keyboard and how to decode the ASCII code using usbh_hid_key.c .  Request : if anyone can suggest me small  example of usb barcode library  .

Hi everyone. I'm currently working on a legacy project that only runs on Zephyr V3.2.0. I have to use the hal_stm32 to get some peripherals running (https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/hal_stm32). The latest version of hal_stm32 is not compatible with Zephyr V3.2.0. How can I switch to an older release of hal_stm32? I haven't seen any branches or tags that would hint to the right STM32_hal version. Best regards Maikel

Hi, we have an issue updating stm32cube ide. We get an error "Valid cert chain, but no trust certificate found!"like in post:Solved: STM32CubeIDE 1.13.2 Check Updates failing with "no... - STMicroelectronics CommunityBut there is no solution, just a "relayed to support".  We solved it some time ago with adding -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=NUL-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStoreType=Windows-ROOTto the .ini, but this doesnt seem to work anymore. Any help here? RegardsMarco

During the project, I need to create equipment that can be updated wirelessly using WiFi. So far, the MCU has been implemented to connect to the router. Is it possible to implement the ota upgrade with the cyw43439chip?

I use a RAK3172 module for a 434 MHz LoRa APRS application but I don´t get a SubGHz interrupt during transmission. The output from my code is the following:APRS DemoApplication version: V1.3.0Radio version: V1.3.0Radio settingsLoRa Bandwidth: 125 kHzLoRa Spreading factor: 12LoRa Frequency: 433775000Device reset...Initialization successful!GoI tested the code before on an STM32WL Nucleo and there it runs fine. So I think there is some issue with the port to the RAK platform.I add the link to the GitHub repository so you can checkout the complete codebase because ZIP files aren´t allowed.https://github.com/Kampi/LoRa-GPS-Tracker/tree/1.1_DevThanks for your support!

I want to play a tap sound when user click button or elements on list. I have hundreds button in my project, so I don't want to add that sound play function to each single callback. Is there a way to create a callback for all touchable widgets or a mechanism to do so? Thanks in advance.

I activated the area1 password protection with password 1. I saw that the default password is "0". Is there a way to change the password 1 over the I2C or is it only possible to change it from NFC side?I saw that all RF_PWD witch can be configurated to the areas can be change over RF in secure session. But also the secure password is default "0". So I have to configurate the chip with NFC to work in the mass? Or how can I deal with it over I2C to be configurated default for our use?

Hi,I am trying to get DMA to work with memory as source and peripheral as dest (UART) and i am not using HAL (this is a learning exercise), but only so far i have managed to get a single character out and the transmission reports as completed (Transfer complete status is set in ISR register and CNDTR from configured value becomes 0).#define buff_size 6U uint8_t source_buff[buff_size] = {'h', 'e', 'l', 'l', '0', '\n'}; void DMAInit(void) { // Enable DMA1 RCC->AHBENR |= (1U << 0); // Channel configuration DMA1_Channel7->CCR &= ~(1U << 0); // disable // wait for DMA to disable while(DMA1_Channel7->CCR & (1U << 0)); // memory size set to 8 bits DMA1_Channel7->CCR &= ~(1U << 10); DMA1_Channel7->CCR &= ~(1U << 11); // peripheral size set to 8 bits DMA1_Channel7->CCR &= ~(1U << 8); DMA1_Channel7->CCR &= ~(1U << 9); // read from memory to peripheral, DIR = 1 DMA1_Channel7->CCR |= (1U << 4);

hello everyone/anyone hope you are doing ok I have to make a project on stm32 nucleo l432kc I am new to this environment and finding it hard to find the relevant libraries for altium for nucleo l432kc board i need to design a pcb can anyone please help me to find a link or a download resource for this i am really stuck here please help me out

I have successfully built and run 20 lessons in a tutorial series with a Nucleo STM32F767NI board but suddenly, on the 21st tutorial, programs would upload but not run.I went back to the previous tutorial and then to the first tutorial, a simple blinking LED program, which also appeared to upload OK but refused to run even after pressing the board's reset button.After much experimenting, including reinstalling STMCubeID, I installed STM packages in my Arduino IDE.Using Arduino, a flashing LED program uploaded and ran without problem, so the board seems to be OK.The problem may have occurred after I did an ST-Link upgrade. But this shouldn't be a problem as the Arduino code worked OK.

 Hello,I just created a new project and want to use TIM5 in encoder mode, but I can't due to the following error. How can I solve this? Thank you for your assistance.

Hi everyone :)I need your help. I am currently writing my masther thesis and I need robust and not noisy ADC read. I am using Nucleo board in my project so I hope hardware should have no effect in my case. The problem is ADC quality. I've tested three different boards: F411RE(100MHz) F207ZG(120MHz) H745ZI-Q(400MHz). All boards were running with their internal RC clocks.ADC for each one was configured in similar way i.e.:- ADC clock around 7.5MHz,- 12bit resolution,- measurement frequency 10kHz (triggered from timer ISR),- sample time around 15 cycles,- polling method.For test purpose I chose 1.5V battery to be measured and I realised that unfortunately only F411 returns stable voltage. I mean the noise was Vpp=10mV. Whereas the other mentioned boards delivered really unstable values (noise Vpp=250mV). I don't understand what is going on :frowning_face: Here is the code I've used for ADC measurement:/* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ #define ADC_RESOLUTION 4096 #define ADC_REF

Hi, i'm using STM32H750VB and i could previously make the Vbat measurement setting under Analog->ADC3 in the old version of cubemx (6.10), but this option has been removed in the new version (6.11). Also the temperature sensor setting is lost. Is this a bug ?

No download is possible since a week on your website.I'd like to download stm32cubeMx and motor workbench. ISP: Swisscom AGCity: ZurichRegion: ZurichCountry: Switzerland Please fix that. I already lost one week.
