COMP2 is not listed on the configuration tool... eventhough it is well documented on the RM0455. Please provide directions to activate and use properly COMP2 on the H7A3

Hello,I am trying to evaluate the use of MCSDK in a dual-motor application.  Motor 1 works, but motor 2 does not.I have a fresh Workbench project, with both motors configured identically, with the exception of Over-Current Protection.  When I generate, I get a "NOTICE: Please disable the overcurrent protection of Stage 2 to avoid resource assignment conflict on COMP2.  The power state is already protected by STDRIVE101."  Under Current Sensing of Stage 2, I disabled Over-Current Protection, but still get the notice. The generated CubeIDE project compiles and uploads without issue.I use MC_FOC_SDK_2_Motors to try to start/stop the motors.  After connecting, I hit press Start on Motor 1.  I hear the PWM, and after a second (as expected), the motor starts ramping according to my startup sequence.  When I press Start on Motor2, I get no sound, and no motion.I analyze the outputs to the motor with a dual channel oscilloscope.  On Motor 1, U, V, W signa

We have been told Asymmetric Serial Packet Exchange Protocol documentation would be available with the release of MC Workbench V6. We're at V6.3 now. Can you direct me to where I might find said documentation? The old serial communication class available in MC Workbench 5.4.8 doesn't seem to work with the new Workbench versions. Here I sit at 5.4.8 wondering, where is the flying car I was promised?Thank you in advance.

I'm trying to get my STM8AF5288 to read CAN from a TJA1050.I had it reading perfectly.  1Mbps @ 16Mhz.  Using time_seg1 of 8, tim_seg2 of 7, prescale of 1.  SJW1.The sending unit is an Arduino attached to an MCP2515 and TJA1050.  Verified with another arduino unit that it can read the sending on the CAN bus. Now, I decided that after utilizing the internal clock and being able to read CAN, I would switch to an external resonator.  Threw that on, and suddenly couldn't get CAN to work anymore.  I hadn't even selected the external clock to be used.  Still had internal setup in the code. So, I removed the resonator I installed.  Still can't get CAN.I have 7x of these PCB, so I thought maybe I messed something up.  Rebuilt another w/ all new components.  Still not seeing CAN.I am getting stuff populated in the CAN FIFO data.  But, it's always the same thing and appears to be 'junk'.  Where, previously I was seeing the correct st

Hi everyone, I am kinda new at Embedded programming and I wanna ask a question.I am working on a library development of ADXL345 sensor and when I read the datasheet of this sensor here is the information that I got:"An alternate I2C address of 0x53 (followed by the R/W bit) can be chosen by grounding the SDO/ALT ADDRESS pin (Pin 12). This translates to 0xA6 for a write and 0xA7 for a read." This means I2C address of ADXL345 is = 0x53 HEX and "0101 0011" Binary.after 1 bit left shift and write address is = 0xA6 HEX and "1010 0110" Binary.after add 1 bit to the shift address is = 0xA7 HEX and "010 0110" Binary. When I run this code block in STM32 : I got the A6 write address instead of 0x53 I2C address. Do you know why ? I got an opinion but I am not sure. When I read the brief of HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady() function it says:"@brief Checks if target device is ready for communication."so its mean " I am trying to write something and checking for knowing can I write or

I've complained about this before, and got nowhere. It's still completely unworkable. When can we light a fire under the developers to get this addressed? Showing FIVE potential matches might work in a system with SIX users, it is not viable in one with over SIXTY THOUSAND.https://community.st.com/t5/feedback-forum/having-quot-fun-quot-with-khoros-editor-failures/m-p/594201/highlight/true#M518

Hii ,Does VL53L8 tof sensor support ROI selection or Reduced FoV as VL53L1 , if yes how do i do it ?Thanks,Poornima B

HI: I want to write the board SN, REV, TIME to STM32C031F6 OTP area 0x1FFF7000~0x1FFF705F, which is almost 96bytes to write, from the stm32cubeprogrammer manual -W64 command can to write, but is needs to be repeated 6 times, right? Also from the manual there have write file for the OTP command "fwrite", how do i understand parameter "word"  , can you tell me what command to use?"STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe --connect port=usb1 -otp fwrite example.bin word=??" example data:47333934302D36313833304130314653323331353030303100FF71D2FFFFFFFF66138B6F00FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF3106FFFFFFFF41303100FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFD115FFFFFFFF Can you tell me how it would be easier to write these data? thanks!

Hello,I am using the STM32U575ZIT6 microcontroller and enabling the TrustZone option. When executing projects, the HardFault handler triggers when switching to the non-secure zone, displaying the message "No source available for <signal handler called>() at 0xffffffa9". This also happens when running a blank project. Do you have any solutions?

Hello everyone! I would like to ask about the DSPI baud rate setting for the SPC582BE1 microcontroller. As shown in the following figure, when using the SPC5828XX-RLA DSPI Test Application for Discovery routine, I found that the default setting for Baud Rate Prescaler is PRE5 and Baud Rate Divider is DIV2 The Baud Rate (Bit/s) is 8000000, and I used a logic analyzer to collect the SCK signal line of DSPI and found it to be 1.25MHz! I would like to ask how did this 1.25MHz come about? Can you tell me?

I have a self-powered device.  It appears as a USB CDC device /dev/ttyACM0, when plugged into a Linux host.  The device port is wired to USB_VBUS, so that pin will only be high when connected to a USB host.I would like to detect the presence of the USB cable, so that the device can sleep if there is no cable and other conditions are met.- How can I detect the presence of the USB cable?  I'm using CubeIDE and the HAL.- How can I put the STM32 to sleep in such a way that it will wake up when the USB cable is plugged back in?

I am attempting to set up an encoder on STM32G431RB using Tim 2 which is 32bit but it is only counting up to a 16bit value and going negative. I looked at the register through SFR and only the first 16 bits are active, is there another setting I need to change to use the full 32 bits? SFRConfig

Here is what I observe:I have an application running that communicates via the CAN bus. With a certain command via CAN the STM32 (STM32F2xx) is put into sleep mode. Thereby I configure the microcontroller to wake up and get an interrupt when activity is detected on the CAN bus. I wait until the configuration is done successfully by the hardware and then call __WFI(). As soon as a message comes in on the CAN bus the microcontroller also wakes up without problems and does its job perfectly BUT here one thing happens:Should it be alone on the bus (apart from the sender of course), then the first message that wakes up the MC is answered with a NAK; only on the second repetition (ARQ) the message is answered with an ACK. Almost as if the controller takes too long to wake up.In the Reference Manual I read that the bxCAN module needs 11 consecutive recessivebits to synchronize with the CAN after a sleep. Does this mean that this behavior can be considered normal? Thanks for your help

Problem:The USB communication between STM32F401RC and MacOS v14.3.1 (Sonoma) doesn't work when the MCU is running on a bare metal, but it works when the MCU runs on FreeRTOS. It does "connect" on bare metal, but sending any USB MIDI messages from the app on MacOS to MCU doesn't have any expected effect on the MCU. We are using:- STM32F4xx HAL Driver v1.8.0- usb_device, usb_desc v1.0_Cube What have we tried:1. The same problem occurs with STM32F401RB.2. The USB communication works fine between STM32F103 (bare metal) and MacOS v14.3.13. The USB communication works fine between STM32F401 (bare metal) and MacOS v12.7 (Monterey).4. The USB communication works fine between STM32F401 running on Free RTOS (doesn't work when on bare metal) and MacOS v14.3.1.5. We are aware that from MacOS Ventura a permission has to be given for USB accessory connection, but this is not applicable to Mac Studio that we are using.6. We use "Pocket MIDI" app on MacOS and we can see that the input p

Hi,I am looking for the drivers that support multiple USB Printer Vendors. Can anyone has configure the STM32MP135  with multiple USB Printers support.Warm regardsMohammad Faizan

Board: STM32F411REGreetings,I am trying to make a program where the mcu read an audio file on the SD card, apply a sound filter on it, and write the output to a different file. The program will split the audio file into small chunks and compute them one by one:Open the source file to readOpen a new file to write the resultRead a chunk of the source fileApply filter onto the chunk, the output is written into a distinct buffer (array)Write the buffer into the opened fileRepeat 3-5 until the whole file is done (total chunk size = source file size)Close source fileClose new fileI am facing a problem where f_write will trigger a HardFault interrupt handler when it is called a 2nd time. (Code is attached below. The audio is in the format .wav, so I have adapted tinywav library by mhroth to work over SPI for fatfs:For reading, I'm using: f_open(..., ..., FA_READ)For writing, I'm using: f_open(..., ..., FA_WRITE | FA_CREATE_ALWAYS), I tried to add FA_OPEN_APPEND as well but result is the same.&

Hi :I have a custom board, the mcu is STM32L4P5RG, I also connect Flash W25Q128(OSPI1) and APS6404L(OSPI2) to it.But I can't reset them and hal status always return HAL_ERROR. Can someone help me?The hardware schematic(Sch.png),Clock configuration(Clock.png),OSPI configuration(OSPI1.png, OSPI2.png),Reset code(Code.png)  are as below:I also attach my project.

Hi,I am having trouble downloading the I-CUBE-LRWAN pack for the STM32CubeIDE.Trying to download from the product page (https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/i-cube-lrwan.html#get-software) by clicking "Get latest" and agreeing to the license agreement redirects me back to the product page with no download. I have tried both Chrome and Firefox with ad-blocking extensions disabled. Downloading packs for other products works fine.It also currently seems impossible to download from the IDE's built-in pack manager because the login functionality appears to be broken (there are other threads on this, though). Is there an alternate way to download the pack? Thanks,Matthew

hi community,                      I am using the "Avas Compact - Test Application" example code which is provided in the AUTODEVKIT. hear I enabled the CAN communication and it is working fine. but i want to know CAN BUSOFF is implemented or not in the given example code. if not how to implement the CAN BUSOFF.regardsshiva

Hi community,I have implemented AVAS, I am getting the output as expected but with one issue that even after I stop communication in the CANoe , I am getting the sound continuously.I wanted to know two things1. Do we have any API that stops the sound just after stopping the communication in CANoe?2. I thought of using the timeout functions that gets called after some time after stopping the communication so for this I wanted to know do we have any API or do we have any configuration settings? Thanks,Aishwarya UM

Summary: I'm seeing a situation where the CAN frames are repeating when they should only be sent once.  However, the receiving device is receiving them just fine.  Details:I'm running an STM32U545 on it's Nucleo Board, and using a simple CAN transceiver chip.  I'm sending pre-made dummy messages to spoof an external device, and have verified those messages work using an STM32L431.  The frame is being sent once every 200ms, and the code is sitting in HAL_Delay() the rest of the time.  The number of repeated frames is not consistent.  I'm looking on the scope/Saleae, and it can be anywhere from 1 to several (like 7 or 10), and anywhere in between.  The Saleae interpreter is reporting an ACK being received, so that shouldn't be the issue.  Bit rate: 250kIs there anything else I should check?

I am programming SPC582Bxx-RLA WKPU Test Application for Discovery using the SPC582860E1 development board! But when downloading the program using OpenOCD steps, the following error message will appear! As shown in the following picture! And I also took a screenshot of my configuration settings. I hope everyone can help me analyze the solution! Thank you.

I bought the AEK-MCU-SPC5LNK kit! But after following the operation steps in manual UM3303, I encountered the problem shown in the picture! Can you help me?
