Hello.I am creating a board with an STM32H7R3Z8J6. I am wondering what I should connect DVDD to? My intuition and "experience" says that this is the "Digital power supply pin", but it doesn't really make sense to make that distinction on this type of component, since it "digital by default", and then you have some analog parts (which you supply through VDDA).The "Getting started with hardware development for..." app not doesn't really specify much, it says that it's "Digital supply for the USB HS PHY". This indicates that it's a power supply and should thus be connected to the rest of the VDD net (or some other voltage). I am using USB on this board (D+ and D- connected to a USB connector), but I have connected both VDD50USB and VDD33USB to VDD (3.3V), which I got from some other spec.There is also a diagram:where it looks like it should be connected to the VCAP net with a 100nF cap to GND. I also found this schematic from a Nucleo board with a similar MCU, which sort of confirms

I found links here:https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeide.htmlbut, it doesn't work.

HI，     I am developing my ble audio project with STM32WBA55G-DK1. I need use SAI interface as audio input interface. I have an annoying problem. I configure RCC before init ble stack. I choose use pll1rclk as system clock. But i call the BleStack_Init function to init ble stack which provide by ST, the register of  RCC_CFGR1 changed from 0xF to 0x0, HSI16 becomes as system clock. I can't understank why the Ble stack do that。 If so that, does it mean that the maximum system clock can only be 16M when using Bluetooth function？Thanks

The ST community site is often extremely slow, even time outs occur . You access a few pages fine and then it takes a minute or more , time out or error occur.Often trying to Edit a port, it often fails with an error message. Accessing other website is no problem at all.

Hello all, I am developing with a STM32F429bit6 by STM32CUBEIDE v1.15.1 and TouchGfx v4.23.2. The LCD display works well. The screen layout is portrait.However, when I moved the images to the SPI flash (w25q64), the display was crashed. The changes are as below:Change the ld file to store the images and fonts:  Enable External Data readeradd spi flash driver and implement the virtual function  void DataReader_WaitForReceiveDone() { return; } void DataReader_ReadData(uint32_t address24, uint8_t *buffer, uint32_t length) { W25Q_Read(address24, 0, length, buffer); } void DataReader_StartDMAReadData(uint32_t address24, uint8_t *buffer, uint32_t length) { W25Q_Read(address24, 0, length, buffer); }

Posted on July 06, 2018 at 16:09Sorry for my stupid question, but this makes me really confused. I was just looking for the the bus with connected with the EXTI, then I found that APB2 bus is connected as it is shown in the reference manual in here : https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/reference_manual/4d/ed/bc/89/b5/70/40/dc/DM00135183.pdf/files/DM00135183.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00135183.pdf so here I attach the screenshot of the datasheet But when I tried to activate the clock for APB2 bus in APB2ENR, I cannot find in what bit is the EXTI in.Then I got confused in what bus and what bit is it to activate the clock for exti. Sorry for this stupid question, by the way I am a new learner#stm-mcu #datasheet-inconsistency #stm32-interrupt

Any writes, erases or reads to flash range greater than 0x8100000 fails. When I inspect the region via Memory browser in STM32Cube IDE all memory beyond 0x8100000 appears as a "?" indicative that a read is not being allowed. Being new to this controller and STM family of devices , I'm not sure what configuration I am missing. Can you please provide any hints or tips

Hello all. Can you help me?According to the PM0269 I need to use sone API function for periodic advertising. Where is hci_le_set_periodic_advertising_data() finction? There is no hci_le_set_periodic_advertising_data() finction prototype in bluenrg_lp_api.h header file. I only saw the aci_gap_set_periodic_advertising_data() function prototype for use.Thank you for your attention.

@John E KVAMI ported the gesture recognition example (STSW-IMG035_F401) from the STM32F401RE to the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q with the X-NUCLEO-53L8A1 and the gesture library (STSW-IMG035_M33).  If I used the VL53LMZ_ULD_API driver included with the GestureKit it seemed to work fine; all gestures were recognized. If I used the VL53L8CX_ULD_API driver (STSW-IMG040), it worked poorly; only the TAP gesture was recognized (and even that was inconsistent).  This was repeatable on the same hardware;  I could load and calibrate the MZ based project and it worked fine, then I could load and calibrate the 8CX based project and it would only recognize the TAP gesture.  I was surprised that the driver intended for the specific part performed worse than the generic one.I've attached the two ported projects (one using the MZ driver and one using the 8CX driver) for comparison.Have I missed something? Note: One significant difference I just found was that If I held a book at about 20c

Hi all!Environment: I use MX to configure the DCMI Peripheral including DMA!MX generates MX_DMA_Init() and MX_DCMI_Init()After DCMI initialization in main with the above mentioned functions I use the functions HAL_DMA_RegisterCallback(&hdma_dcmi, HAL_DMA_XFER_CPLT_CB_ID, &DcmiDmaFullCplt) and HAL_DMA_RegisterCallback(&hdma_dcmi, HAL_DMA_XFER_HALFCPLT_CB_ID, &DcmiDmaHalfCplt) to register Halffull and Full DMA Callbacks.Both callbacks are registered in the hdma_dcmi structure. Everthing ok so far.Problem:But when I execute HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(&hdcmi, DCMI_MODE_CONTINUOUS, (uint32_t) ae_dma_buffer, AE_DMA_BUFFER_SIZE); to start the peripheral, the function overwrites the dma full function pointer. Therefore the HAL callback is used and not my dma full callback function (half full works fine). Otherwise if I try to register the callbacks after calling HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(), the registration is refused because the hdma-->state is different to HAL_DMA_STATE_READY.So how

Hi there,I am using cubeMx and TouchGFX to show some UI.I set the display format to RGB 565 in both cubeMX LTDC and TouchGFX config.But in the generated code by touchgfx, all the images are stored by RGB888 or ARGB8888 format(in the path "TouchGFX\generated\images\src\*.cpp").Because I just need RGB565, can I just store the bit I need? Thank you.

Hello everyone,I am working with the STM32H7B3 and after enabling the secure user memory, i am not able to connect with the debugger anymore:For testing if secure user memory works, i put a "secure_function" in a section at the end of my flash, then enabled the secure user memory for that section and called the function from the unsecure area (which should result to a bus fault). The questions are:1. What did i wrong?2. Why can i not connect to the board which the jlink debugger? I didn't change any option byte except the security OB.Also i don't thing that the program got stuck in the secure area, because the unsecure area should run first after reset (see code below). Console output: Here is the code i used to configure the secure user memory:    void __attribute__((__section__(".secureareatest"))) secure_function(){ count++; } bool setSecureUserMemoryProtection(FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef& flash_option_bytes) { const uint32_t secure_area_start =

I looked at the routine of SPC582B60E1! In the routine, pressing a button can use the callback function that interrupts the button to light up the LED light, but I have a question: how can I turn off the already lit LED light when I release the button? Can you give me some ideas or routines? I want to learn them! This is very important to me, thank you all big shots!

I can't find an answer to this but, let's say I've an image as texture map of 4x4 pixels located at coordinate (0,0) so getX() and getY() return 0 and 0If I resize it with setScale(0.5f) so half the size, the getX() and getY() return the same value 0,0 or TouchGFX try to center the image and it returns (1,1)What about getWidth() and getHeight() value after the setScale(). Do I get 2 and 2 or it always return 4 and the setScale() is just a virtual function for the visualization?

I want to debug my SPC563M64 board in SPC5studio. What should I do? I will go there to obtain support files for boards like SPC58NG 1>C:\SPC5Studio-6.0\openocd\scripts\board\spc58NG_dis.cfg2>C:\SPC5Studio-6.0\openocd\scripts\target\spc58ng.cfg3>C:\SPC5Studio-6.0\openocd\scripts\target\spc58.cfg where can I get these files for  SPC563M64 board just like the above files for  SPC58NG board!!!

How to put elements in list to the west? I set list direction WEST but it does not working.I found out that its not supported Maybe there is another way to put elements from east to west?

Hi community members !!I’m attempting to open my touchgfx file (.touchgfx file) from the ST32Cube IDE, but I’m running into an error that states, “Value cannot be null. (Parameter ‘path2’)”. I’ve attached a screenshot for reference. This is the first time I’ve encountered this error in my project, despite having successfully added screens, components, generated code, and flashed it to the board in the past using touchgfx. Could anyone provide a potential solution?

I have a weird one. Using an STM32H723 Nucleo board. The MOSI line for SPI2 is giving me trouble. The edges are slow (see picture). All I am doing for this test is transmitting on SPI2 with nothing attached but the scope. I am using STM32CubeIDE and the MX config tool. What could be causing this?

Hi everyone ! I have a curiosity and I ask you all how to interpret ...The behavior of the ADC_ISR_EOC bit during debugging is unclear, it is reset and I don't understand why. Code :// TimerSecurity is a security timer that runs every 1 msec1) TimerSecurity = 10;2) ADC1->CR |= ADC_CR_ADSTART;3) while ((ADC1->ISR & ADC_ISR_EOC) == 0) {4) if(TimerSecurity == 0)5) breaks;6) }7)8) ADC1->CR |= ADC_CR_ADDIS;9) return ADC1->DR; While debugging... - Case 1I put a breakpoint on lines 1 and 9the debugger stops at line 2I start the F5 debuggerthe debugger stops at line 9the ADC_ISR_EOC bit seen in a watch window is LL1the TimerSecurity is still 10 - Case 2I put a breakpoint on lines 1 and 9the debugger stops at line 2I step over the F10 debuggerthe ADC_ISR_EOC bit seen in a watch window is LL1I start the F5 debuggerthe debugger stops at line 9the ADC_ISR_EOC bit seen in a watch window is LL0the TimerSecurity is 0 I hope I have been clear, I would like to understand who resets the

Hello everyone, Im working on a Program that i have written in a StateDiagram way. I have 3 buttons wired to my micro, with a strategy to avoid boucing.this a part of my program where if the button is PRESSED then we add 1 to the variable "Day". The problem is that because the while(1) loop is very quick, the incrementation is very fast. I have experienced to put a Delay after but this is not precise at all and a too short or to long press on the button would ruin it. SO, do you have a solution for me that even by pressing longly, the value of Day would not increment more than 1 time ? I hope ive made myself understandable, im wainting for your suggestion if(PbState[1] == PRESSED){Day++;}

 I write four bytes of data to M95512, and after the writing is completed, I read these four bytes. I must delay the writing for more than 3 milliseconds to read the correct bytes. Delays less than 3 milliseconds will read 0XFF. Why is this?What does “Byte Write within 5 ms” mean？Does it take 5ms to write a byte? Looking forward to any suggestions and responses.

Hi,I'm developing a new project using the STM32H723; I have to decide between the STLINK-V3SET and the ST-LINK/V2, may you help me to understand the main differences ?If I choose the V3SET, do I need to add any additional module ? Thank you, best regards. Carlo

Hi,I am trying to power up my F767ZI board from the 3.3V power given by X-NUCLEO-LPM01A. Strangely, when I measure the voltage from X-NUCLEO-LPM01A with a multimeter (on the 3.3V input pins on the F767ZI board), I see the output voltage is only 1.6V to 1.7V (or about1.2V if I pull a wire from 3.3V input to SWD's RST signal to prevent STLINK from resetting my board[*]), despite that I had set it to 3.3V. The board does not start up as well. More observations:1) This only happens when I use X-NUCLEO-LPM01A as power source. When I used another DC power source, I could measure 3.3V on the board's 3.3V input pins just as I set it. The program on board also run normally.2) This only happens when I set X-NUCLEO-LPM01A's output voltage to 3V or 3.3V. When I tried setting it to 2.4V, I measured 2.4V on the board's input pins, and the program on board could run.3) This only happens when I use F767ZI. I have tried G0B1RE, L4R5ZI and U575ZI and all of those could work normally.Additional info

Hi,I am working on BLE with STM32W55RGV. I have loaded FUS+Full_BLE_stack into the M0+ core. In the M4 core, I have my own application, but I always get a HardFault when I call this function, as shown in the picture (SendCmd(uint16_t opcode, uint8_t plen, void *param)). It is basically first entry function to try to do anything with BLE. At that moment, opcode = 64535 and plen = 0. Could this be related to IPCC? I have enabled interrupts for both RX and TX, and I have also increased the BLE FreeRTOS stack to 1024.Alos I added breakpoint to APPE_SysUserEvtRx - to see if CPU2 is ready (was mentioned in  STM video tutorial for HeartRate monitor), but the function is not called..I have no idea how to move forward.Thanks!
