HiI am a complete beginner when it comes to Smart Cards/Javacards, Secure MCUs and NFC.We specialize in Bitcoin/Crypto Custody and are exploring Smart Card (Javacard) based secure storage of end-user private-keys.We want to design and manufacture a Javacard based Smartcard with ePaper display that shows details about the operation being performed on the Smartcard. And we want this smartcard to be a passive device without any battery just like normal smartcard. So the ePaper display has to be powered by the energy harvested from NFC.After initial exploration, we found that we need to use ST33 Secure MCU connected to a ePaper display through SPI along with ST25DV-I2C NFC chip to enable the NFC interaction with Smartphones and harvest RF energy to power the MCU and display. We want to do the exact same thing as described in Application Note - AN5233 with a ST33 Secure MCU instead of STM32 MCU. This is as far as we could get and do not know how to proceed further. Any help in this rega

Hello,I wonder if anyone in the community knows anything about this:I ordered the steval-edukit kit found here:https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-edukit01.html#overview I only got the motor controller. The website claims it is a full kit and includes the list below, which I did not get. I've been trying to get some support with no success.Has anyone tried to order this kit? If yes, what did you receive? Did you get the items below or just an expensive $175 motor controller? Thanks a lot! Website claims to include:Rotary inverted pendulum kit for educationIncluded stepper motor and quadrature rotary encoderLow cost and easy to assemble interlocking acrylic frameIncluded power supply (100-240 V): 12 V, 1 ABased on the NUCLEO-F401RE development boardX-NUCLEO-IHM01A1 expansion board with L6474PD microstepping motor driverOpen source educational material available

Hi,The BOM and almost all pictures of X-STM32MP-GNSS2 include a Taoglas antenna.Could you verify if an antenna is actually included or not, if I order an X-STM32MP-GNSS2?

I got the STM32W55 MCU.We keep receiving an event from the stack:Event type: 0xff -->   HCI_VENDOR_SPECIFIC_DEBUG_EVT_CODE  Event e-code: 0x04   /* ACI_HAL_END_OF_RADIO_ACTIVITY_EVENT code */ #define ACI_HAL_END_OF_RADIO_ACTIVITY_VSEVT_CODE 0x0004U   We receive it in an infinite loop.Can you please advice?

Hello all,I'm using STM32MP135F-DK, taking picture with GC2145 camera and converting 1600x1200 raw image to png/jpeg formats to use later. I'm doing these according to the document at below link:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP13_V4L2_camera_overviewI calculated how much time spent for below script:##### 2 MP Setup media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'gc2145 1-003c':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_BE/1600x1200@1/20 field:none]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'gc2145 1-003c':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_BE/1600x1200@1/20 field:none]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'dcmipp_parallel':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_BE/1600x1200]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'dcmipp_parallel':1[fmt:RGB565_2X8_LE/1600x1200]" media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --set-v4l2 "'dcmipp_dump_postproc':0[fmt:RGB565_2X8_LE/1600x1200]" ##### 2 MP Capture v4l2-ctl --set-fmt-video=width=1600,height=1200,pixelformat=RGBP --stream-mmap --stream-count=1 --stream-to=grab-1600x1200-rgb565.raw ##### 2 MP Convert gst-launch-1.0

I am using an STM32L422RB and I have added the X-Cube-EEPROM SW package (version 3.0.0). After intensive use I noticed that the eEEPROM driver is actually writing 64 bits of 0's to my emulated EEPROM space on every device power up or wakeup.  On further investigation this is linked to the function EE_Init which calls the function VerifyPagesFullWriteVariable(0U, 0U) and according to the code comments performs a dummy write of 0 to get rid of potential instability of line value 0x0xFFFFFFFF consecutive to a reset during write here. Why is this done and can this behaviour be avoided as this is effectively wearing out the flash needlessly, my application needs to go in and out of Standby regularly to save power and these writes will create non-negligible Flash wear. Hello,I am trying to capture images from OV5640 on STM32MP135F-DK.When I connect GC2145 camera, I succesfully list devices like below:I removed GC2145 on the ST camera board and connected OV5640, like below image: But when i try to list devices, /dev/media0 is not visible. How can i get images from OV5640?

Is the PD85004 part discontinued? We wonder if you have any remaining stock to make the power module with that part. And I was wondering if there are any parts or subsequent parts that are an alternative to that.

Hi,I am conducting a rapid object detection test using the VL53L4CX sensor. I am moving an object towards the sensor at approximately 5 km/h and aiming to light an LED if the object is detected at around 60 cm to measure the sensor's response time. However, when checking the LED with a camera, it lights up at approximately 50 cm. I am trying to determine the cause of this delay. The MeasurementTimingBudget is set to 20 ms. When the object is stationary at 60 cm, the LED lights up as expected. Could the sensor be providing outdated data, or do you have any theories on the potential cause of this delay?

Zigbee PRO specification mentionsI found this function in AN5500: When I try to implement this function, I get a compiler error for 'undefined reference'. I checked zigbee_core_wb.c and indeed there is no implementation for this function. The question is, since this function is not available, then how to develop a zigbee router node on STM32WB platform that will allow joining of other routers and end devices to itself in a mesh network?

So i installed the st-link utility from my.st.com and did all the installation but when i run it, it tells me there are some .dll files missing. Specifically, these are the errors; 1st error; "The code execution cannot proceed because mfc140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem" and the 2nd error is; "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." . So i did exactly that, uninstalled the st-link utility and installed it again but still same problem. Does anyone have the same problem and how, if you fixed it, did you do it?

Hello everyone,I have a project in mind where I want to create a business card with an NFC tag that redirects to my portfolio page. My main concern is ensuring that the NFC tag URL redirect works on as many phones as possible. I've heard that Type 5 tags don't work on Android versions above 9. Is this true? Does anyone have any advice or recommendations on which NFC tag I should choose?Btw the NFC tag must include an Energy Harvesting feature so I can show off some cool things. Thanks in advance,Hessel

Hi EveryoneI am starting to use FreeRTOS but faced an issue if there is someone to help. I configured USB_FS MSC. when I use MX_USB_HOST_Init(); the FreeRTOS stop and not working. but when I disable it, everything is fine.I have used the USB_FS MSC in Super loop on mode without any issue.

Hi!I'm using an STM32H723ZG with the STM32 HAL. Ethernet is enabled (and LWIP is correctly configured and working fine). I'm trying to get the STM32's MAC to automatically reply to PTP SYNC messages using the PTP Offload feature. I've configured the MAC using the HAL_ETH_PTP_SetConfig function and then manually set the MAC's MACPOCR POEN bit, however no packets are produced. I'm trying to configure the STM32 to be an Ordinary Slave Clock so that it responds to SYNC messages. SYNC messages are correctly being sent on the network by my Master Clock (a linux workstation) however they are not causing the ethernet MAC on the STM to respond. I have several questions. What should I program the MACSPI0R, MACSPI1R and MACSP2R registers to? Should it be programmed to the Clock ID of my Master clock? Should it be a unique ID for the slave clock? PTP is configured with the following structure:(The eth_hclk is at 260 Mhz) ETH_PTP_ConfigTypeDef ptp_config{ .Timesta

Hello, I'm using a STM32G0B1RE and a nucleo SRC1M1 in order to charge and communicate with a tablet in power delivery mode with 5V 3A. I followed the following tutorial: STM32StepByStep:Getting started with USB-Power Delivery Source - stm32mcu (stmicroelectronics.cn) from STM, at first it kinda worked, I had a connection with the tablet in the traces with it confirming it does take 5V and 3A as well as the IN SOPs:002 H:0x0041 GOODCRC message but since it was connected on a hub, it kept turning on and off. So I took the cable for the ST off the hub and directly onto the computer (the nucleo is receiving 5V 3A from an external source) but since then when I go on the board selection and connect the tablet, it keeps disconnecting. I checked, there doesn't seem to be any loss of voltage, so I'm quite lost as to why the board doesn't want to connect with the app.I also changed the STM32, changed computer, changed cable between the tablet and nucleo, nothing changes. I haven't

As I find that the qt layer has been removed from the ditribution package, and no qt ducumentation on wiki is available, does that mean qt is not supported for the stm32mp series?

Hi STM32 friends,I'm about to learn something new, because I hit a problem with STM32CubeMX 6.11.1 (newest)I have used Ethernet on several M7 platforms, not always without a bit of struggling. However, this time after configuring ETH, LWIP remains grayed out.I'm using a NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q, which has an M4 and M7 core. I use the M7 core for ETH.There are no warnings at the ETH configuration, except:"The ETH can work only when RAM is pointing at 0x24000000"So I modified the First Tx Descripter Address to 0x24000200, and First Rx Descripter Address 0x24000000.(I guess they were wrong at first: 0x30000200 and 0x30000000)The warning remains nevertheless. The problem is LWIP remains grayed out.The M7 DCache is enabled (as well as the ICache).I configured the MPU:Region 0:Address: 0x24000200Size: 16KBSubRegion: 0x0TEX: level 1Access: ALL ACCESS PERMITTEDInstruction: ENABLEShareability: ENABLECacheability: DISABLEBufferable: DISABLERegion 1:Address: 0x24000000Size: 256BSubRegion: 0x0

Steps to reproduce are pretty simple:1. In "Pinout & Configuration", open "Middleware and Software Packs". Select "ThreadX". Enable "Core".2. In "Project Manager -> Advanced Settings, change all drivers from HAL to LL.3. Click "Generate Code" from Project menu.4. Compile generated code.Result:../AZURE_RTOS/App/app_azure_rtos.h:31:10: fatal error: stm32u0xx_hal.h: No such file or directoryFile stm32u0xx_hal.h is expected, however it is not generated, because no HAL driver is chosen.

I use the STM32CubeIDE program on Mac (Version 1.15.0)The MCU is a STM32H743VIT and its configuration is done from the *.ioc file.I use ADC3 with an Oversampling of 128.Its configuration is done by entering 128 for the “Oversampling Ratio” line, and the ADC3 initialization code in the MX_ADC_Init() procedure includes the line:hadc3.Init.Oversampling.Ratio = 128;I've just updated to 1.15.1 (with migration), keeping the same files (*.h, *.c, *.ioc).When I open the *.ioc file, the ADC3 settings contain an error for the Oversampling ration: 128 is in red and I have to put “Oversampling ratio 128x”.The initialization code generated becomes:hadc3.Init.Oversampling.Ratio = ADC3_OVERSAMPLING_RATIO_128;No problem a priori, but the code is now compiled with an error:error: 'ADC3_OVERSAMPLING_RATIO_128' undeclared!

So as the subject says, my LCD works correctly when attached to my F407 Discovery board and using SPI2.I am now using a F405 and SPI1 on a custom PCB. I have configured the SPI1 the same as SPI2, basically copied the settings. However I need some advice on the clock speeds and settings. When I use the LCD on the discovery board it will run at low speeds - 10MHz.For SPI1 ton the F405, the maximum speed is lower at 42MHz. Which clocks do I need to set and what speeds do I need for each clock?Using an oscilloscope reveals that I am gettting signals from the MCU on all the relevent pins. My guess is a timing issue of some sort......I know that the MCU is functioning correctly, flashing programs and debug work as normal.Any suggestions or help much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hello,I have done a big mistake. I was testing a provisioning using the system bootloader. For that I have changed the provisioning batch files. As a result I have set the product state to closed, before the keys where loaded.  Now I can not connect to the target and the standard regression does not work. Is there a way to get the device working again? Best regards,Roman Here the log:10:48:50 : Start Debug Authentication Sequence10:48:50 : SDMOpen : 602 : open : SDM API v1.010:48:50 : SDMOpen : 603 : open : SDM Library version v1.1.010:48:50 : open_comms : 495 : open : Asserting target reset10:48:50 : open_comms : 499 : open : Writing magic number10:48:50 : open_comms : 509 : open : De-asserting target reset10:48:50 : open_comms : 561 : open : Communication with the target established successfully10:48:50 : discovery: target ID.......................:0x48410:48:50 : discovery: SoC ID..........................:0x00000000_38363236_33325117_003D005E10:48:50 : discovery

Previous I2C EEPROM chips had (eg) 3 address pins A2..A0, where you could hardware the I2C address. This allowed up to 8 devices on the same I2C bus in case you need more storage capacity. With the M24M01E this is no longer the case : the device can have it's I2C address programmed in a special settings page, but no longer via the A2..A0 pins But how can I use more than 1 of these devices on an I2C bus ?Do I need to program the chips before soldering them onto the PCB ?
