Hello!I'm porting a working code from H750VB to H730VB, generating a new HAL core from STM32CubeMX, but right after entering on "SystemClock_Config" function at debug mode, I've got the message "Break at address 0x46bd3718 with no debug information available, or outside of program code". Going step-by-step, the issue happens on "HAL_RCC_ClockConfig", at the second "D1PCLK1 configuration" calling:if ((RCC_ClkInitStruct->APB3CLKDivider) < (RCC->D1CFGR & RCC_D1CFGR_D1PPRE)){ assert_param(IS_RCC_D1PCLK1(RCC_ClkInitStruct->APB3CLKDivider)); MODIFY_REG(RCC->D1CFGR, RCC_D1CFGR_D1PPRE, RCC_ClkInitStruct->APB3CLKDivider);}I'm using the same custom board and pinout as H750 one and the app is quite simple: a few GPIOs, UART and SPI. I've also tried just a "blink LED" code, same break on "SystemClock_Config". Two different boards, same issue.Did anyone face the same problem? Thanks!

Please, answer was anyone trying to use RTC with the G071RB microcontroller? I am powerless now. The code generated by cube does not initialize RTC. I checked the entire initialization procedure if it is consistent with the documentation. Everything is correct and does not seem to be a mistake in HAL. The problem for me in the RTC_EnterInitMode function is the line SET_BIT (hrtc-> Instance-> ICSR, RTC_ICSR_INIT) ;. The INIT bit and the INITF flag are not set so that RTC does not enter the initialization mode. I am asking for an answer because the problem is not in my code only in the code generated by the cube. Is RTC initializing for you or is the problem in my microcontroller? I will add that there is no difference which source of RTC clock will be chosen.

Hello everyone, I am Erdem.I am trying to use FlexCan with the SPC560B-DIS development board. I ran the example project "SPC560Bxx_RLA CAN Test Application for Discovery," but I didn't want it to operate in LoopBack mode. When I disabled the LoopBack mode, I couldn't read anything from the PeakCan cable. I created a new project from scratch and wanted to send a simple CanBus message, but there was no communication. I am sharing the settings and code from my project in the images. I would be very grateful if you could help. Thank you.

My project was generated a few months ago (LWIP + FREERTOS on M7). The project was working without an issues. A few days ago I wanted to include CAN interface and after converting IOC to latest version, I have issue: LWIP was deactivated. I am not able to activate LWIP just for M7. LWIP can be activated M7 + M4. If I active LWIP on both cores, I am not able to use FREERTOS

Posted on June 26, 2014 at 16:31 Hi, I tried to configure my STm32F207 using the ''Cube'' to use the CAN2 and I found a bug. This is the initialization code generated by the ''Cube'': void HAL_CAN_MspInit(CAN_HandleTypeDef* hcan) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct; if (hcan->Instance==CAN2) { /* Peripheral clock enable */ __CAN2_CLK_ENABLE(); /**CAN2 GPIO Configuration PB12 ------> CAN2_RX PB13 ------> CAN2_TX */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_12|GPIO_PIN_13; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_LOW; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF9_CAN2; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct); /* Peripheral interrupt init*/ /* Sets the priority grouping field */ HAL_NVIC_SetPriorityGrouping(NVIC_PRIORITYGROUP_0); HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(CAN2_RX1_IRQn, 0, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(CAN2_RX1_IRQn); /* Sets the priority grouping field */ HAL_NVIC_SetPriorityGrouping(NVIC_PRIORITYGROUP_0); HAL_NVIC_SetPri

Why is MX_MBEDTLS_Init called twice at startup when using stm32CubeMx code generation?

Hi,I'm using the IIS3DWB accelerometer to get triaxial waveform.I just want to know what is the best approach to detect over range.I tried to compare sample by sample in each channel with the maximum possible positive value (>32766) and the maximum negative value (<-32767) but I didn't get overflow detection when the peak acceleration > range. When I set the limits to +/-16384 (half) my detection routine works (with an instantaneous acceleration value > range/2).What is the measured acceleration value when the acceleration is over the full-scale range?Does the accelerometer limit the the value to the maximum?Best regards

I have a working project with its .ioc file. Now I need to port the project codebase to another project that uses exactly the same processor, but with different pinout: the peripherals in the project will be the same, mapped on some other pins.I need to have a complete codebase with its ioc file for both projects. What is the best course of action to duplicate the original project? It would be ok if I'll have to mess around with cubeMX to manage both ioc files.

Hey All, I cannot seem to uncheck the option "save power of non-active UCPD - deactive Dead Battery pull-up" Everytime I generate code I have to manually comment out (disable) (HAL_SYSCFG_StrobeDBattpinsConfig(SYSCFG_CFGR1_UCPD1_STROBE | SYSCFG_CFGR1_UCPD2_STROBE);)to make it workKind Regards,Sparsh

HII use Cube MX with STM32U585RIT6. When I use ADC4 In3 In4 In9 In22 and In23, the  channel In9 is not properly initialised. I must add this manually :/* USER CODE BEGIN ADC4_Init 2 *//** Configure Regular Channel*/sConfig.Channel = ADC_CHANNEL_9;if (HAL_ADC_ConfigChannel(&hadc4, &sConfig) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}/* USER CODE END ADC4_Init 2 */With the STM32U585VIT, I have the same problem with channel9 dont work Then it work. I have this probleme in CubeMX from 6.9 to 6.11 versions.

Hi, I am looking for a spice model for this mosfet (preferably one that runs stable in LTSpice). Purpose is to do some simulations for a SMPS (detailed calculation during transients should be supported by the model). I did not find in STB60NF06 - N-Channel 60V - 0.014Ohm - 60A - D2APK StripFET(TM) II POWER MOSFET - STMicroelectronics (For some mosfets, it is available at this place). Is a model for this mosfet available? Herwig.

I tried: import/general/existing projects from workspace, thenchoose nucleo-l452re/examples/gpio/pgio_iotoggle,I get the whole file structure, get my main.c, see the file, however, the "hammer" is greyed out. Cannot be built. What is wrong with these examples? (b.t.w. building my own littlle projects with cube-mx works like a charm)

Hello, I'm new to STM nucleo boards. Got my hands on the p-nucleo-usb002 usb type c evaluation board. I tried to import the demo projects to cubeIDE and it doesnt seem to build. I'm missing out something. Please help! The project files are as in the screenshot below. Thanks,

Hi!!!I am want to implement Emulation of EEPROM for STM32F401CCU6 Controller which is having 256kb of flash memory. but not sure of how exactly that i have to use it. I have downloaded X-CUBE-EEPROM software but in that there is no any project related to STMF4 series for reference. Can anyone provide me an example code for STM32F401 series controller.Thank you, regards,ANIL.

Hi all I am doing the research and development for a home energy management system (EMS) for smart grid applications and my prototype is in the early stage of development. My prototype is tested working fine with Ethernet IPv4 (TCP/IP). However, the IoT technology requires it to work with IPv6. Could anyone please share me a sample code for IPv6? Thank you very much in advance.

Hello,I am new to the STM32 platform and will be using it to prototype an embedded controller.  I ordered an STM32H7S78-DK Discovery board since it had all the necessary IOs available and included a touchscreen display.  However, I also need Bluetooth communication.  I found the X-NUCLEO-IDB05A2 and X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 Nucleo Bluetooth expansion boards; will these work with the Discovery board?  The datasheets only mention STM32 Nucleo compatibility, but the expansion boards use the Arduino UNO R3 connector, which is present on the Discovery board and I imagine has a compatible pinout.  I might be misunderstanding how the expansion board connects...If neither of these will work, is there another way for me to add Bluetooth functionality to the Discovery board, or am I better off obtaining a Nucleo board and developing the Bluetooth functionality independently? Thanks in advance.

i am using stm3210e eval board. It has NAND flash memory of 512 Mbit and I am trying to read data from it but it gets inside hard fault handler. although i am able to read the device IDBelow is the codeNAND_IDTypeDef nand[1]; HAL_NAND_Read_ID(&hnand1,nand); uint8_t read[10] = {0}; NAND_AddressTypeDef addr = {0,0,0}; HAL_NAND_Read_Page_8b(&hnand1,&addr,read,1); the ioc file configuration

Hey ST Employees!as I start a new project using the TouchGFX Designer, i noticed that there is some helpful feature missing:At the moment it is not possible to set some global colors just as it is possible for texts. Especially when using multiple screens and containers which contain e.g. box-widgets for background colors it would be great to use pre-defined colors. A big advantage would be, that you are able to change a background color used many times by just changing the pre-defined color.Just a small suggestion on how to accommodate the color definition in the TouchGFX Designer :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:I would love to get some feedback!

Hello,I am looking for a low power STM32 MCU that can transmit 2.4GHz RF signals. Since STM32WBA and STM32WB support bluetooth, can it be used to transmit raw 2.4GHz signals as well as bluetooth. It is used to communicate with a cnc controller.

I have a custom board with a STM32H730ZBI use a LCD 1024x600 controlled by LTDC.Here is the pinout :here is the config :When executing code :I break just after the HAL_LTDC_INIT function.I should have a white screen (R=255, G=255, B=255)But I have a strange color !So I testes each bit of R[7..0] G[7..0] B[7..0] by modifying register : BCBLUE, BCGREEN and BCREDEvery bit works exceptLCD_R7, LCD_B7, LCD_B6 and LCD_B4Of course, my first thinking is a hardware problem..... but noI focus on LCD_R7 :1st test:If I change LCD_R7 pin on PC4 in source code to OUTPUT_PP instead of ALTERNATE and set it to 1, the LCD draw the red background (I set all others bits to 0) => the color is 0x800000==> So no hardware problem and LCD is OK2nd test:I move the LCD_R7 from PC4 to PG6, and the LTDC drive LCD_R7 correctly==> So LTDC can drive LCD_R7 on PG6 (pin 91) but NOT on PC4 (pin 44)Why those 4 pins are not drive correctly by LTDC on STM32H730ZB ?

Hi,On a custom board using STM32H730ZB, I try to use QUAD SPI flash memory. Here is the CubeMX config :In MX_OCTOSPI1_Init function, I break on HAL_SPI_INIT functionThis function come from pack STM32H7 version 1.11.2In line #415 of stm32h7xx_hal_ospi.c, the code should modify DCR1 register with this values : You can see the DCR1value is 0x0After executing the MODIFY_REG() macro, the DCR1 register remain at zero. What can be the issue ?I tried exactly same code with STM32H723 DK and register is update successfully.

1. [Part Number] STM32G474RET2. [Environment] CubeMx on custom board3. [Schematics] NA4. [Details]  The function "HAL_FDCAN_GetTxFifoFreeLevel"  always return 0, Tx FIFO cant be cleaned, but my can bus is in error-active status, TEC is 0, REC is 0 5. [Expected behavior] The messages in Tx FIFO should be cleaned normally 6. [How to reproduce] Keep sending a CAN FD message every 140us by function "HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ"7. [Occurrence] Maybe 1 time per hour, maybe not happen a whole day. 8. [Sanity checks] can bus is in error-active status, TEC is 0, REC is 0

Hello everyone, I'm a beginner in the FDCAN field with STM32. I'm trying to establish communication between two custom boards equipped with the same CAN transceiver. The mode is normal FDCAN. Here's the configuration of the FDCAN module for completeness: static void MX_FDCAN1_Init(void) { hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1; hfdcan1.Init.ClockDivider = FDCAN_CLOCK_DIV1; hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_CLASSIC; hfdcan1.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL; hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.TransmitPause = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.ProtocolException = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.NominalPrescaler = 16; hfdcan1.Init.NominalSyncJumpWidth = 1; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg1 = 2; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg2 = 2; hfdcan1.Init.DataPrescaler = 1; hfdcan1.Init.DataSyncJumpWidth = 1; hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg1 = 1; hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg2 = 1; hfdcan1.Init.StdFiltersNbr = 0; hfdcan1.Init.ExtFiltersNbr = 0; hfdcan1.Init.TxFifoQueueMode = FDCAN_TX_FIFO_OPERATION; if (HAL_FDCAN_Init(&hfdcan1) !

Hello everybody! There is a question on bluetooth which I would love to explore. The point is, some time ago I developed a navigation device for visually impaired people, that had a pair of mikes, a pair of headphones and a DSP. Everything was more or less okay, but the headphone wire definitely didn't add to the convenience of use, so it would be nice if I could connect any bluetooth headphones to the device I made. Although I have experience connecting an SPP module to MCUs (lot's of information, connection via UART - easy), I know nothing about bluetooth audio. The task is, my device must be the "master", it should be able to connect any bluetooth headphones to itself and then send a stereo audio signal to the headphones. Is it possible to use a WB55CG module for that? Is there a built-in audio stack in the WB55CG dongle? It seems that the BM83 module can do what I need, but the price of the development board is manyfold out of my current range, besides I do love the s
