I have carefully followed the getting started guide for the STM32MP157x-EV1 board. All the steps I took were successful until I reached the "Execute basic commands" section where I am instructed to run the following command:ls /dev/ttyACM*The expected output is/dev/ttyACM0but when I tried running it, no such file was found. With the evaluation board recently connected to my PC through the board's ST-LINK/V2-1 port, the "sudo dmesg" command reveals the following issues:    [ 2144.431929] usb 5-1: new full-speed USB device number 9 using xhci_hcd [ 2144.563977] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2144.803980] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2145.039934] usb 5-1: new full-speed USB device number 10 using xhci_hcd [ 2145.171984] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2145.411986] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2145.524053] usb usb5-port1: attempt power cycle [ 2145.935943] usb 5-1: new full-speed USB device numb

Hello ST Community,   I am working on a circuit using the STM32WB55CEU6 micro controller and bluetooth to transmit information from one of the ADC Pins. I followed some references that have the circuit powered by a USB C connection, however in my situation it will be powered by an external battery (imagining that it is 3.3V - I could add a voltage regulator later on).    As I am not at all familiar with microcontrollers and this whole process in general, I was wondering if I could have someone check my circuit shown below. I have boxed out in the top left corner where the pads will be to solder in wires connecting to an external battery. I connected the battery's positive terminal (labeled the wire VBAT) to the VBAT pin, additionally, I've connected an outgoing +3.3V to the decoupling capacitors and the pocket programmer sections. So the ERC (electrical rules check) in KiCad V7 is giving me the warning “Both VBAT and +3.3V are attached to the same items”. I am wondering

Hello,I am trying to create a HID device using the USB Device code generation in STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.14.1.But I have a problem with my PC not recognizing it as a HID device.MxCube.Version=6.5.0 is working fine and we have investigated the differences within the source codeUndoing the following changes worked correctly./*** @brief Start the USB device* @PAram hpcd PCD handle* @retval HAL status*/HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_PCD_Start(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd){USB_OTG_GlobalTypeDef *USBx = hpcd->Instance;__HAL_LOCK(hpcd);if (((USBx->CID & (0x1U << 8)) == 0U) &&(hpcd->Init.battery_charging_enable == 1U))if ((hpcd->Init.battery_charging_enable == 1U) &&(hpcd->Init.phy_itface != USB_OTG_ULPI_PHY)){/* Enable USB Transceiver */USBx->GCCFG |= USB_OTG_GCCFG_PWRDWN;}__HAL_PCD_ENABLE(hpcd);(void)USB_DevConnect(hpcd->Instance);__HAL_UNLOCK(hpcd);return HAL_OK;}/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////Wha

Hi, I have developed custom PCB board with STM32F401RCT6TR as MCU and there is external EEPROM (connected to I2C2), IMU sensor (connected to I2C1) and display (connected to SPI1). I am reading IMU data and displaying it on the screen. When the sensor data is above critical threshold, I am saving this data to EEPROM, and accessing and showing it on the screen. I have 2 buttons to adjust threshold value and saving this value also to EEPROM. The functions work as expected (read, write, show data).I then created task to read IMU sensor and save critical IMU data to EEPROM and another task was created to save adjusted threshold value and displaying data on the screen using FREERTOS in CUBE IDE. In this case, I was not able to write anything to EEPROM. (When I try to access EEPROM, I was reading only 255, which is default value if anything is not written to it.) MCU executes the write function but does not write anything to EEPROM. I tried to write some random data to EEPROM in FRE

Hello,I'm currently designing a bootloader and an application for stm32g474ccu6 MCU (256kB flash). Today I wanted to implement a bootloader feature allowing the user app to take up more than one flash bank in flash memory (Im working in dual bank mode - the default configuration). It's not really clear to me how the RM0440 flash layout looks like for a 128 or 256 kB flash. Let's assume a 256 kB version: are the banks divided into two 128 kB chunks and then the second bank start address is equal to 0x08002000?or are they rather discontinued with a gap-flash region in between (the bank2 start address in the RM seems to be constant?) I tested it and to my surprise, I was able to program the flash memory using bank1 setting in HAL library and addresses starting at 0x08001f800 (presumably the last page of bank 1) going for 40 kB (presumably first pages of bank 2)! This actually contradicts both of my theories - it seems my stm32g474ccu6 acts completely as a 512 kB unit (even considering the

We are developing matter devices with STM32WB5MM-DK.I am trying OTA with the following reference.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:Matter_develop_and_prototype#How_to_customize_your_applicationSo I have a question.1. How can I generate .sfb file from my own project (e.g. XXX-App)?2. Please tell me how to generate a User Key.

Hi,I've just gotten a new microcontroller SPC58EC-DIS from elfa. From my past I worked a lot with STM so I wanted to try something new, but this was the first time that I got something like this:Is it normal that the board comes with soldered wire between components SB28 and SB29 or is this something that I should report to the supplier? BR,MaraLo

Hello there,I am new to the MC Workbench and must configure the B-G431B-ESC1 to use it with a A2212/6T 2200KV Brushless DC Motor.I created a new project in the MC Workbench 6.3.0 and tried generating the project. Once the generation is completed I recieve the following error message: "Completed with errors."I watched the tutorial on youtube which shows different behavior. In the youtube video several ".c" files are being generated and the generation is completed successfully. What is my problem here?FYI: I created a custom motor profile, which is very similar to the "Bull Running BR2804-1700kv".Do you have any tips how to approach this, maybe use the Motor Pilot? Thanks in advance for any help.Best regardsBatu

Hi, I rarely see that the api rfalNfcvPollerExtendedReadMultipleBlocks() returns RFAL_ERR_WRONG_STATE .When will this api return this error code ?My state machine is as follows: while(1) { rfalNfcDiscover(); rfalNfcGetActiveDevice() rfalNfcDeactivate(RFAL_NFC_DEACTIVATE_IDLE) rfalFieldOnAndStartGT() rfalNfcvPollerExtendedReadMultipleBlocks() rfalFieldOff() } All apis return RFAL_ERR_NONE when the issue happens, other than "read extended multiple blocks" api ..

Hi,When i use HAL_CAN_Transmit to send a CAN message on STM32F4, if say I am in error passive or bus off condition, what error does the API return? If I am in error passive, what is the best way to reset the error count to 0?Where can i get the error flags related to this as the HAL_CAN_Transmit does not return the error status such as passive or bus off? There are only two nodes on the bus. Thanks in advance!

Hello,I would like to use the X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB to calculate a SHA256 with a key. My implementation or the example HMAC_SHA2_AuthenticateVerify works in STM32CubeIDE 1.13.1 for an STM32L432KCU microcontroller.Source: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-cryptolib.htmlTo rule out the possibility that the example project has implemented something that I forgot to copy into Atollic Studio, I created a new project in STM32CubeIDE and integrated the X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB there as I did in Atollic Studio. The hash was calculated correctly there. Now my problem:The development environment Atollic TrueSTUDIO for STM32 9.3.0 is used for an existing project. I would like to use the X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB there. If I put the "simple" example there, then the hash is calculated incorrectly. The error occurs on the line if (memcmp(Expected_Tag, Computed_Tag, computed_size) != 0) because the Computed_Tag was not calculated correctly. What could be the reason?     /* Initialize cr

I want to send audio samples (received via SAI1 from PDM MIC) to SAI2_SD_B as SPDIF out. It does not work, because: the DMA does not seem to write the DR in SAI2: the memory is filled with audio samples the DMA seems to run (I get the HAL_SAI_TxCpltCallback and I can see via debugger that the DMA pointers are moving) but the SPDIF sends all zero: on scope, the SPDIF output is all as zero words Remark: it is on a STM32U5A5RJT6Q (LQFP64 package): the datasheet "says": not a SAI2 there (just one SAI) - but not true - it works also with SAI2, even CubeMX does not let me configure SAI2 pins (also wrong in CubeMX tool). But I can configure SAI2 and see it working (in Polling and INT mode, just the DMA fails). So, my impression: the circular buffer and DMA does not work. No idea why not: the code is generated by CubeMX. This topic is related to this thread: Solved: STM32U5xx: SPDIF out - how to configure? - STMicroelectronics Community Here is the DMA config I use: Why does it send all

Hi,I have been trying to add opus codec in my project. But I cannot able to build after adding the opus file. If anyone successfully added opus with their project help me out. I mostly get errors on 'Neon' which is used for FFT. As I searched neon is for cortex A, but the STM32WB5MMGHTR is cortex M based. I'm also adding my config file code for opus here #ifndef CONFIG_H #define CONFIG_H /* Variable leng arays */ #define VAR_ARRAYS /* Comment out the next line for floating-point code */ #define FIXED_POINT 1 #define OPUS_BUILD 1 #endif /* CONFIG_H */ Help me to add opus library with my project.

Hi All,I am using STM32G071RB-NUCLEO + X-NUCLEO-GFX01M2Questions,Do we must use external loader and which loader file name we MUST use? is the loader file - MX25L6433F_STM32G071B_NUCLEO.stdlr correct?Where can I get this loader file. Why in sample project does not include this loader?Best regards,Jiannong

Hi, All    when I power on the U575 eval board, the file system of flash chip come out immediately on my computer as the attached  picture. My question is how to read/write the file system from MCU of U575 by firmware? Anyone has the experience or any document to show this. Thanks a lot in advance.Victor

Hello    My Project is based on STM32WBA55G-DK1 to develop my ble headphone. But when i called CAP_Init API, it returned BLE_STATUS_OUT_OF_MEMORY. I don't know which parameter is causing this issue. Following Parameters are my ble config. #define CFG_BLE_NUM_LINK            (1)#define CFG_BLE_NUM_GATT_SERVICES   (2)#define CFG_BLE_NUM_GATT_ATTRIBUTES (11)#define CFG_BLE_ATT_MTU_MAX         (251) Thanks

I am using the STEVAL-STWINBX1 development board and have downloaded the FP-SNS-DATALOG2 software. I am trying to get the WiFi working using the ST BLE Sensor apps, but the option 'Set Wi-Fi credentials' is greyed out.     I have even tried the classic app...   I have also tried it with the default firmware BLEDfFw, but again the 'Set Wi-Fi credentials' is greyed out. The user guide shows to click on the 3 dots in the right corner of the app....   But in my app, there are no 3 dots in the top right corner... How do I get the WiFi connection working with this board ?

/* add the network interface (IPv4/IPv6) with RTOS */ netif_add(&gnetif, &ipaddr, &netmask, &gw, NULL, &ethernetif_init, &tcpip_input); while(1){ /* Registers the default network interface */ netif_set_default(&gnetif); if (netif_is_link_up(&gnetif)) { /* When the netif is fully configured this function must be called */ netif_set_up(&gnetif); break; } else { /* When the netif link is down this function must be called */ netif_set_down(&gnetif); } /* Set the link callback function, this function is called on change of link status*/ netif_set_link_callback(&gnetif, ethernet_link_status_updated); } I am trying to get link up in the if statement but in first time run i usually get set down. To fix that i included all to a while statement but it gets stuck in else statement. I am using stm32h735.

Hello,I am evaluating the STM32H723 with the NUCLEO-H723ZG board and I need to use the standby mode with GPIO wake-up.On the board, I have added a 10k pull-down resistor between pin PA0 (connector CN10 pin 29) and GND. I also have wire that I use to touch PA0 with 3V3.On the firmware, I use the default project for the NUCLEO-H723ZG. Then, in MCC, I activate PWR Wake-Up 1.In main.c, I add a simple function to put the MCU into standby mode that only accept the Wake-Up 1 event as the wake-up signal to reset the board. I also flash the yellow LED 10 times before calling the go to standby mode function as a visual indication. The expected behavior would be that the yellow LED blinks 10 times then it goes dark. When I touch PA0 with the 3.3 V wire, the board should go back alive and blinks the yellow LED 10 times before going dark in standby mode again. However, this is not what I am experiencing! On start up, the LED blinks 10 times then it goes into standby mode until I touch PA0. Then it re

Hello everyone,I'm working on a circuit for monitoring the bias voltage of a GM tube, which requires a high voltage of 100V. I am currently using a OA1NP22C op-amp configured as a unity-gain buffer to read the divided voltage. To minimize current consumption, I'm considering using a voltage divider with 1GΩ and 12MΩ resistors. However, this configuration still consumes approximately 9.8µA, which is higher than I would like for my low-power application. Here is a simplified version of my circuit:100V Bias Voltage (GM Tube)|R1 (1GΩ)|+----> To OA1NP22C Op-Amp (unity gain buffer) > MCU|R2 (12MΩ)|GNDMy questions are:How can I further reduce the current consumption of this voltage divider to the nanoampere range?Would switching out the voltage divider using a transistor be a viable solution? If so, what configuration and components would you recommend for achieving this? Are there alternative methods or components that could help in significantly reducing the power consumption while main

I have made multiple post at this point attempting to figure out why .invalidate is not working properly on my board. The thing is, all the examples programs work just fine. So either I am generating code in the wrong order or there is a different way to display and refresh the WIGITS on the screen without using .invalidate.QUESTION:Is there other methods or libraries I can use that the examples for my board utilize to refresh their screen that doesn't cause it to tear? There has to be a way animation play out and look smooth over time. The board I am using is the STM32H735G-DK

Hello,I followed this guide (https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002741432-Create-custom-Application-Template) to adding TouchGFX to my existing project.I'm working with IAR 8.30.1 and tgfx 4.10.0 and STM32F429ZG and FreeRTOS V9.0.0 ( with `heap_4.c` as memory manager ).Everything works well now, except texts. Every time I added components that contain text, Hard Fault occurs during redraw (*.invalidate()) it.I added virtual void handleTickEvent() { container.invalidate(); }to my ScreenView class to verifying DMA2D and LTDC configurations. All components work well. But existing just a text component causes HardFault.By tracking `LR` and `PC`, I find out that HardFault occures in `TextProvider` class.I think stack corrupted. Due to often times, `PC` is in the `DataSection`.I increased the stack size of my GUI task and `configTOTAL_HEAP_SIZE` of FreeRTOS configuration, But results not changed. Is there any other stack size ( or heap size ) limitation?Or,

Hello everyone,I am currently working on programming the display of the STM32F469I-DISCO using X-Cube-TouchGFX.What I want to achieve:I aim to create a simple application that displays a button in the center of the screen, just to test the functionality. The issue:When I run the code in CubeIDE, the display remains black, and the backlight doesn't turn on. I have made sure that "MX_TouchGFX_Process()" is called within the `while (1)` loop. Here are some additional details that might help in diagnosing the problem:- I have initialized all required peripherals and included the necessary middleware.- I have set up TouchGFX in the .part file.Despite these efforts, the display still shows no signs of life. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can provide guidance on what I might be missing? A picture of my TouchGFX settings   Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Thank you!
