Hi @STTwo-32 @KDJEM.1 I want to add custom services along with the BLE_TMAP_Audio_Unicast_Client of STM32WBA55G-DK board. The .ioc file is already configured and I am not able to add more services. Can someone provide with CubeMX initialization for WBA. The user manual UM1718 has STM32WPAN section for STM32WB series only. UM3131 is also not helping with the need.Thanks in advance!

I am fairly new to STM Cube IDE and the expansion packages.I wanted to bring up the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 on NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q with the examples and read through several user guides etc. including the STMicroelectronics.X-CUBE-NFC6_GettingStarted. The documentation also has a fault by stating that the "Additional Software" button must be click which does not exist in the IDE. According to the https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/st25-nfc-rfid-eval-boards.html webpage it should be possible. I followed the starting guide that is provided when downloading the extension package (Getting started with the X-CUBE-NFC6 high performance HF reader/NFC initiator. IC software expansion for STM32Cube).I followed the steps selecting the Nucleo-L476RG board during project creation for which examples are also provided.In contrast to the guide it does not find a solution and it only offers PA5 for all LEDs.I would appreciate if you could give a step by step guide to setup a project

I am using the STEVAL-STWINBX1 development board with the FP-SNS-DATALOG2 software V2.2.0.When I try to connect using the Python GUI tool, it gets stuck at "Device Template Model Loading"....I reverted back to V2.1.1 and the GUI tool works.Is there a bug in this new release V2.2.0 ?

Hi Team,Could you please advice the Body Marking of M24512-DRDW8TP/K? Thank you advance.

There doesn't seem to be any project in the whole STM32CubeWB package that uses the HSE with PLL. At least I couldn't find any with a .IOC file. Most samples in the package use the MSI clock, except, of course, for the wireless projects that use HSE for better accuracy. But in all those projects that use the HSE, they use the clock directly, not through the PLL, and then they clock the main CPU at 32 MHz, not at 64 MHz. Of course it is possible to modify the configuration to use the HSE with the PLL. But it is rather strange that with all the projects in the package, everyone that do use the HSE, doesn't use the PLL and chooses to configure the CPU at a lower frequency. To be honest, it makes one suspicious that it could be a problem and it might not work reliably if one try to use the HSE with the PLL. Anybody has any actual experience with a wireless project using the HSE and clocking the CPU at 64 MHz through the PLL? Thanks

I have a Nucleo-G071RB and GFX01M1 display board.I'm using TochGFX 4.15.0 to generate the project. It generated the files and I then when into CubeIDE, the code compiled and managed to downloaded into the board and all working ok.I now want to add some GPIO pins to the project. I tried to open the .IOC file by double clicking it but it won't open and it give me an error of:Invalid Input: Must be project's active .ioc file.Project's 'STM32G071_test_28-10-20' active one is 'STM32G071_test_28-10-20.ioc' fileHow can I fix this ?CubeIDE is version 1.4.2

Hello all,I'm trying to lock the flash in level 1 mode. To do so, I'm using the provided ST APIs. In particular, I'm doing:  FLASH_Unlock(); // unlock flash to deal with it FLASH_OB_Unlock(); // unlock option byte to deal with it if(FLASH_OB_GetRDP() != SET) // check current protection status { FLASH_OB_RDPConfig(OB_RDP_Level_1); FLASH_OB_Launch(); // launch the option byte writing procedure } FLASH_OB_Lock(); // lock option byte FLASH_Lock(); // lock flash Now, looking at the function implementations of the library, I can see something I'm not understanding in FLASH_GetStatus: FLASH_Status FLASH_GetStatus(void) { FLASH_Status flashstatus = FLASH_COMPLETE; if((FLASH->SR & FLASH_FLAG_BSY) == FLASH_FLAG_BSY) { flashstatus = FLASH_BUSY; } else { if((FLASH->SR & FLASH_FLAG_WRPERR) != (uint32_t)0x00) { flashstatus = FLASH_ERROR_WRP; } else { if((FLASH->SR & (uint32_t)0xEF) != (uint32_t)0x00) { flashstatus = FLASH_ERROR_PR

Currently, I try to use an quadrature encoder connected on pins PC12, PC11 and PC10. All these pins have in common that they all can use Timer 8, for channels CHN1, CHN2 and CHN3. When I try to configure Timer 8 in Encoder mode; I can't select the CHN channels. Is there a way to use these pins as input for the encoder?

Hi Everyone!I am pretty new to the community and STM32.  I have been trying to set up the Nucleo F429ZI board to act like a an HID keyboard and send keystrokes.  I have initialized the USB_OTG_FS to Device Only, USB_DEVICE to HID, and as far as I can tell configured the clock correctly.  My board is connected to the PC's USB port via the same port as the port I use for flashing the board.As far as I can tell, nothing is conflict with the documentation at https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-f429zi.htmlI tried multiple tutorials, with the latest one being: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tj1_hsQ5PR0 adjusting to my board and make as necessary.However, the system does not seem to detect the device as a keyboard nor are the keystrokes received.  Attached is my project.This is part of the code I use to send the reports.  Any guidance is much appreciated.extern USBD_HandleTypeDef hUsbDeviceFS; typedef struct { uint8_t MODIFIER; uint8_t RESERVED; uint8_t

Hello,I am working on a project with the STM32G0 series microcontroller. The MCU goes into the 'SHUTDOWN' state and wakes up when the wakeup timer times out. In the reference manual, it is mentioned that wakeup with BOR (Brown-Out Reset) is not available in SHUTDOWN mode.The manual also states that a power reset is generated when exiting from SHUTDOWN.Additionally, it is mentioned that BOR is generated when exiting from SHUTDOWN.Could you clarify which reset is actually occurring when exiting SHUTDOWN mode?

hi，for our project，we used firmware package was STM32CubeG4 Firmware Package V1.6.0 / 05-June-2024.IDE: MDK 5.39MCU: STM32G473MET6 EEPROM: 24LC256we already check the page write opreation, ensure the boundaries and size of each write (less than or equal to the page size)we have also tried DMA and IT, but they will affect SYSTICKthis our test code uint32_t EEPROM_WriteBytes(uint16_t address, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t length) { while( (HAL_GetTick() -LastWriteTick) <=6); LastWriteTick = HAL_GetTick(); if (HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(&hi2c4, _24LCXX_I2C_ADDRESS, address, I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_16BIT, pData, length, HAL_MAX_DELAY) != HAL_OK) { return 0; }   uint32_t EEPROM_ReadBytes(uint16_t address, uint8_t *pData, uint16_t length) { while( (HAL_GetTick() -LastWriteTick) <=6); if (HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c4, _24LCXX_I2C_ADDRESS, address, I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_16BIT, pData, length, HAL_MAX_DELAY) != 0) { return 0; } return 1; }

Hi,I am running TMR1 CH1 and CH1N in complementary mode (so they are the opposite of each other). Using a HAL function, how do I change each (separately) from PWM to GPIO and back to PWM? Just so to explain what I am trying to do... I am driving a H-bridge, I want to be able to:- run the PWM in complementary mode (i.e. biphase/bipolar bridge)- fix one half of the bridge to high or low while the other side still runs in PWM- switch both to either high or low- go back to full PWM complementary Thank you

I have a TextArea that spans the full width of my screen:I've selected "center" alignment:However, when I dynamically set the text at runtime,  Unicode::fromUTF8(merchant_name_data, merchant_nameBuffer, MERCHANT_NAME_SIZE); merchant_name.resizeToCurrentText(); merchant_name.invalidate();It ends up left-justified:? Thanks.

Hi! I'm using the L6924D chip for a university, and just saw a pin called EP. Searching on net, it is pointed that it's used for thermal purposes. Is that correct? If it is, what is the best approach for optimizing this parameter, considering the module will be confined in a box, inside another box? Thank you in advance!

# OverviewI'm trying to add I2C1 in "controller mode" to an existing STM32U5G9 project, but am struggling to get it working.I am setting up the peripheral using HAL/LL calls and not relying on CubeMX setup.# What I'm SeeingThe goal is to have PG13 = SDA and PG14 = SCL with an I2C clock rate of 10kHz.  On those pins, I see no activity even though my firmware should attempt an I2C transaction after initializing the peripheral.  The two I2C pins just stay HIGH all the time.  (I have 4.7kOhm external pullups.)If I switch SCL to PB8, I do see some activity but it looks wrong (not enough clock pulses for SCL): For the ~2 clock pulses on SCL here ^, the timing is correct (~10kHz), but I'm not sure why it stops and doesn't do a full 8 clock pulses... # I2C1 Initialization Code for PG13/PG14My project is using STM32U5xx HAL `v1.5.0`.  The code snippet below is how I2C1 is initialized: LL_AHB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB2_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOG); LL_GPIO_InitTypeDe

I'm using an STM32 to control a DC motor with a dual hall encoder feedback.To monitor motor position I want to use a General Purpose Timer (16bits) in Encoder Mode.The configuration is going well but I notice that the logic is reversed:When the motor is going forward, the TIM Counter goes down.When the motor is going backward, the TIM Counter goes up.I could fix this issue by flipping the wires, but I would prefer just changing a HAL configuration. Using CubeMx I tried to change the count direction settings without success (the behaviour stayed the same).Is there a way to flip the timer counter logic?Your help is appreciated.

I am trying to use the KSZ8863 IC and (as shown in Table 3-9 of its datasheet) it has many configuration options behind a tweaked version of the standard MIIM interface. In particular, the opcode needs to be set to 00. I have tried the following:directly modify ETH->MACMDIOAR directly to set the PA and RDA bits as required by the KSZ8863 Table 3-9 (instead of HAL_ETH_ReadPHYRegister)set MACMDIODR to 0set the C45E bit of MACMDIOAR (I am not sure about this and if that makes sense for this PHY, but RM0433 says "When Clause 22 PHY is enabled, only Write and Read commands are valid.")Set the GOC bits of MACMDIOAR to 00 (despite it being "reserved" according to RM0433)This results in a garbage reading. I don't at present have a way to probe the MDIO physical line, so any advice about if this should be possible, and other register settings to try, would be very helpful.EDIT: forgot to mention that HAL_ETH_ReadPHYRegister works fine for reading the standard PHY registers, so the hardware c

Hello,  I am in an Internship and I got to make communicate a board using a STM32G0B1KEU6 with a PC.The pin PA12 is configured to be USB_DP and the pin PA11 is configured to be USB_DN.I don't know how to configure the others parameters and I haven't find any examples for my case.I can't use others PINs for the communication with the PC so if you have any advices or examples, I will be pleased to receive them.Thanks

Hello,I have a Yocto Project with st-stm32mp1 layer, using Poky distribution along with customized CubeMX machine that I created using st-stm32mp1-addons layersI need to use the spi5 module, so I activated it through CubeMX for the "A7NS" runtime context.I compiled and run the machine, but during boot I get this message:[ 1.533147] spi_stm32 44009000.spi: clk rate = 0               [ 1.536942] spi_stm32: probe of 44009000.spi failed with error -22  I also tried with spi1 and got the same error message.All my kernel variables are default ( SPI=y, SPI_MASTER=y, SPI_STM32=y, SPI_SPIDEV=y) I also haven't touch any clock configuration in CubeMX, everything should be default.I uploaded my boot log as attachment, you can find the error message at line 223. There are two messages because I tried with both spi1 and spi5.I have also uploaded my machine configuration file, along with the cubeMX projectAny idea wh

I'm trying to follow the test procedure for BlueNRG-MS (SPI) indicated in the Bringing up the BlueNRG and BlueNRG-MS devices - Application note (AN4494).I am using custom board (Microchip dsPIC33F) to talk to BlueNR-M0A.SPI Setting: 625K baud rate, SPII mode 0.Following the Test procedure on Page 5, I got correct packet from BlueNRG-M0A:Step 4: I received [02,7F,00,00,00]Step 6: I received [02,7F,00,06,00]However, on Step 7, I always received [FF, FF, FF, FF, FF, FF].  Note: I sent CTRL byte 0x0B, followed by 4 dummy byte 0x00. I have checked codes again and again, have no idea where to look at.Please help with this issue, and point out a direction.Thanks.Leo

I want to design an NFC device.I plan to use ST25R3916B as the reader, as well as ST25DV64 and M24SR64 as tags.I hope it can switch between different protocols in work, including ISO15693 and ISO14443.When using the ISO15693 protocol, the communication distance is 50cm. When using the ISO14443 protocol, the communication distance is 10cmI have read other related articles in the community. Can you help me check if there are any issues with my ideas1. I plan to design two antennas to accommodate different protocols (20x20cm and 3.7x4.3cm)2. The maximum antenna I can use is 20cm x 20cm. Can I achieve my target communication distance by adding some external circuits (filters, amplifiers)? Is it possible to encounter impedance matching issues when doing so? I see that the chip of the RF power amplifier is single ended, and I think it is not suitable for use in differential signals. Their resistance is usually 50 Ω.3. Due to the fixed direction of the sensing area during use, specific antenn

Hi,I'm new to stm32g4 series and problaby have a basic question.I would like to check if it is possible to have this config:- ADC1 IN3 and IN4 as differential input (signal A)- ADC2 IN4 as single ended input (signal B)Then perform adc conversions in dual (interleaved) mode and get close to 4msps for signal A as well signal B. My concern is that IN4 is used on both peripherals, not sure if this is a problem, if I read the reference manual, it should not be a problem as long as they are not sampled at the same moment, therefore you need interleaved dual mode if I'm correct.Furthermore I would like to know if it's really possible to connect 3 peripherals to a single pin, like the PA0 pin:- COMP1_INM- COMP3_INP- ADC1_IN1If this is possible, are there any side effects that can occur?

 Is it possible to program an empty STM32F042 using UART1 instead of SWCLK-SWDIO?I want to flash programming of STM32F042 which is zero.

Hello,Unless I'm wrong, the architecture of the TFM application as described in UM2851 seems not to allow the assignment of a peripheral (e.g. a LED pin) to the Secure context of TrustZone as it is the case with simple TrustZone applications. The UM2851 states that the user can "Replace the nonsecure TFM application example delivered in the STM32CubeU5 MCU Package by its own product nonsecure application", without raising this possibility for the secure application too.Moreover, I couldn't find on the Internet such example of customization of the Secure context of the TFM application to assign peripherals to the Secure part of the application.Is there a way to do so? If yes, how?Thanks a lot.@STea @Jocelyn RICARD @Benjamin BARATTE

Once I enable UCPD for STM32U5G9 source mode, Cube MX (the latest version 6.12) generates code which does not compile. I am sometimes wondering what is CubeMX testing process - if it exists, ofc.
