Hello,I'm using a STM32F479VI but I do not need the DSI (display) functionality for my current application.It seems that block runs on a independent power supply derived from VDD.Can I leave the DSI power pins floating or should I power them anyway?

Hello, This is how an STM32F479VI appears in CubeIDE without doing any configuration.DSI is actually disabled, but the pin are light green and set RESET_STATE when I hoover over them.What is CubeIDE trying to tell me?I do not want to use DSI in this board, I will keep it disabled, do I need to do any configuration with this pins?Regards,

Hello Everyone,I am running CubeIDE on Windows 10. It installed easily and from the little that I know it runs ok.I have the official ST-Link interface for OTHER THAN the Nucleo board and I have upgraded the firmware in there to current release.I have been working on programming an embedded board for 3 weeks now, with only a little bit of success.=== NUCLEOI have Nucleo-stm32H743 board.I wrote a simple blinky-light program.It compiles (Release) with no errors or warnings.I download with CubeIDE. CubeIDE says it downloaded ok.If I press Reset button on Nucleo board, LED does not blink.If I power down the Nucleo board, then back on, LED does not blink.I repeated the above download by first connecting Boot0 to 3.3vdc.Then when programming complete, remove the 3.3vdc jumper. Note on Nucleo board Boot0 is tied low with a pernament 10k ohm resistor.LED does not blink.I quit the CubeIDE program and ran CubeProgrammer.As above, I get the result that the file (.elf) was downloaded ok.Reset (but

Hi,I am currently working on STM32H7S3 family. I want to set up SAI2 peripherals on CubeMX application. But, SAI2 can be enabled from multimedia, only SAI2B can be activated. SAI2A cannot be enabled from the Mode and Configuration screen. You can find the CubeMX screen shots below. In data sheet there is no problem with SAI2A interface. Is there any problem about my configuration or CubeMX? Thanks in advance Yavuz

Hi,My LCD display format is RGB666, I removed the "LCD_R0,LCDR1, LCD_G0,LCD_G1,LCD_B0,LCD_B1" in file "stm32mp15-pinctrl.dtsi", and recompile my device tree, then upload to my board. I tried to use the LCD_R0 as GPIO with command: gpioset gpiochip7 2=1But get error: "[  52.329202] stm32mp157-pinctrl soc:pin-controller@50002000: pin PH2 already requested by panel; cannot claim for GPIOH:114[  52.348561] stm32mp157-pinctrl soc:pin-controller@50002000: pin-114 (GPIOH:114) status -22gpioset: error setting the GPIO line values: Invalid argument"Please advise how to reuse the unused LTDC pin as GPIO.Thanks,QiZhang ltdc_pins_a: ltdc-a-0 { pins { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('G', 7, AF14)>, /* LCD_CLK */ <STM32_PINMUX('I', 10, AF14)>, /* LCD_HSYNC */ <STM32_PINMUX('I', 9, AF14)>, /* LCD_VSYNC */ <STM32_PINMUX('E', 13, AF14)>, /* LCD_DE */ <STM32_PINMUX('H', 8, AF14)>, /* LCD_R2 */ <STM32_PINMU

HAI , I have STM32L496ZGP nucleo 144 board, I want port threadx on that. I gone through some youtube video , in that in middleware and software packs option they told to select threadx , but in my STM32cubeIDE , threadx option is not there. Only FREERTOS option is there. So how to add threadx to that. Can you share me some documents/links to do threadx on above board from scratch. Thanku

I'm trying to use the MVP system in what is hopefully a correct manner. The way I understand it, the Presenter takes the data from the Model and assembles it in a way that the View can display.However, in the present implementation of the MVP in TouchGFX, the view is being configured before the Presenter has a chance to configure this information.For example, when trying to implement a scroll wheel, I'm supposed to override the ScrollWheelUpdateItem as below:void Screen2View::scrollWheel1UpdateItem(ListItem& item, int16_t itemIndex) { touchgfx::TypedTextId id = presenter->getParameterOptionText(itemIndex);   std::cout << "Setting text index to:" << id << std::endl; item.setText(id); }However, the call tree for switching to a different view is first initializing the view and *then* initializing the presenter. The following is from the TouchGFX library (MVPApplication.hpp):static inline void finalizeTransition(Screen* newScreen, Presenter* newPresenter, Tr

HelloI design a PCB and I am using STM32F446VET7When I try to debug in competely clear project (created from STM32Cube IDE - Cube mx)I got the void HardFault_Handler(void) function after  SystemClock_Config();. With HSE or HSI dosent matter I got the same error. I got 2 more same PCB which work fine, so my design is not problem.I recheck my solder and change my mcu still the same.I also check the BOOT0 pin which connected GND. What could be the problem?

Hello all,it seems that when starting a timer in PWM mode, using TIM_CHANNEL_ALL does not work. Everything works fine as long as I start the channels consecutively, (i.e. TIM_CHANNEL_1, then TIM_CHANNEL_2, etc.) but as soon as I change this to TIM_CHANNEL_ALL, the PWM output stops working. Has anyone else encountered this problem yet or am I doing something wrong?regardsHerby

Hi all, We would like to perform write/erase actions in internal flash during active BLE connection for a slave/peripheral device. We intend to use BLE_RfWithFlash example. We are trying to establish sufficient conditions for a slave to perform write/erase operations.Looking "4.7 Flash memory management" of AN5289, we see the constraints:BLE connected: the connection interval must be longer than 25 ms + packet length, tobe able to execute flash memory erase operation.Data throughput use case: When data streaming packet is sent, the radio is kept activeto send as much data as possible between two connection intervals. Therefore, theradio can not be in idle long enough to fit an erase operation. When the device ismaster, it can reduce the Connection Event Length parameter (with either theaci_gap_create_connection() or aci_gap_start_connection_update() command) toprevent the device filling completely the interval between two connection intervals.When the devi

Hi,I have setup the ADC in STM32H753ZIT6 to sample 4 channels with DMA in circular mode. This works as expected and I can check the values being updated in the "Live Expressions" tab.But there is an offset, which I can only get rid of, if I perform the calibration of the ADC each time I start the ADC.The reason I start the ADC and calibrate again, is that seems to be the only way to get correct results.  The DMA is setup to circular mode, so normally the ADC would only be started once. But as explained, this leads to an offset on all ADC values of some 0.05V.Any help is appreciated. Thank you.   uint16_t ADC_result[4]; while (1) { HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc2, ADC_CALIB_OFFSET_LINEARITY, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc2, &ADC_result, 4); }

Hi I can't find USB device with MTP example.Is there any resource about USB device with MTP?

Hi,I am using a STM32L452RET6. How do I generate spread spectrum PWM on that particular micro?I read somewhere it has a dedicated mode but did not find where.Is there perhaps a library specifically for it?If it does not have a dedicated mode or peripheral for spread-spectrum, how do I generate it in other ways using the standard PWM channels?Thank you :)

Hello.I'm working on the stm32h753vit6 MCU trying to integrate the X-CUBE-AI software package into my project and I noticed a couple of issues.1) After installing the package, I go into the IOC and as soon as I enable the X-CUBE-AI, the RCC_OSC_OUT pin reverts to the reset_state for some reason.2) Also as soon as I enable the X-CUBE-AI, Changes start happening in my clock tree.If I set back the clock tree to the configuration it was before enabling the X-CUBE-AI, My code crashes at the SystemClock_Config method (The method is autogenerated and I don't make any changes to it).Has anyone come across a similar issue?Thank you in advance, Yonatan.

Goodmorning, I have a problem with the validation on target of a CNN network on XcubeAI.I tried to validate the networks on desktop, and it runs, but, when I try to validate on target it gives me that error, I ask you if someone has a solution or something else to try to fix this problem.I'm using version 1.15.1 of STMCUBEIDE and v. 9.0.0 of cube AIthe board I try to validate is UFBGA144. Building project Generating project Temporary project loaded Temporary AI configuration done Generating temporary project code Building project C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.15.1/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.12.3.rel1.win32_1.0.100.202403111256/tools/bin/arm-none-eabi-gcc -c -mcpu=cortex-m4 -mfpu=fpv4-sp-d16 -mfloat-abi=hard  -DDEBUG -DUSE_HAL_DRIVER -DSTM32L4R9xx  -IDrivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32L4xx/Include -IDr

Hello, I have configure ADC to use channel 5 and 6 but I am not understanding what I am doing wrong to get readings from the two channels. Here is my code:void adcConvertionFinish(ADC_HandleTypeDef* handle); static ADC_HandleTypeDef g_adc; static const uint32_t g_shutter_pin = GPIO_PIN_5; static const uint32_t g_window_pin = GPIO_PIN_6; static adcPowerMeterConvertionFinishHandler g_adc_conversion_finish_handler = NULL; static void* g_adc_convertion_finish_obj = NULL; bool adcPowerMeterInit() { __HAL_RCC_ADC1_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); GPIO_InitTypeDef init_struct = {0}; init_struct.Pin = g_shutter_pin | g_window_pin; init_struct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_ANALOG; init_struct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &init_struct); ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef config = {0}; g_adc.Instance = ADC1; g_adc.Init.OversamplingMode = DISABLE; g_adc.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV2; g_adc.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; g_adc.Init.SamplingTime = ADC_

Hi,I am working on automating the build process of the ST firmware and for that I was looking for CLI tools which can be used for the same. I found that STM32CubeCLT is a toolset extracted from STM32CubeIDE, so I was trying out the toolset to check if it fulfils my needs. For development purposes we use STM32CubeIDE.To check if same hex file is generated, I built the firmware to generate the hex files using the STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeCLT and calculated the sha2556sum hash of both the files. It turns out that both the hex files return different hash values.Is there any specific reason for this? I checked the commands executed by both the IDE and the CLI tool and the commands are same as far as I can tell. Note that I did clean build both the times(i.e. for CLI and IDE).Also I have noticed that there is no user manual/reference document for the STM32CubeCLT toolset except for the quick start guide. So I used the command mentioned in the quick start guide to build firmware using C

Hello,is there any example how to configure LTDC device tree entry for RGB display ?Documentation is unclear on that, only MIPI mode is quite well documented.RegardsArkadiusz

I want to read ADC values from 2 joystick. My aim is design a controller RC. I use stm32f103 and set up ADC1 with channel 0,1,2,3. I used interrupt but it read only one channel. Can you help me how to read 4 channel?Thank you!

I'm a noob to the 32-bit world trying to add EEPROM emulation to my ToF application. I read AN3969 and downloaded the associated code, then added eeprom.c and eeprom.h to my project. That didn't compile due to typedef FLASH_Status missing amongst other things. Looking at some other posts, I learned that it is defined in stm32f4xx_flash.h which isn't included in the download but I was able to find on githib. Added it to the project and #included it in eeprom.c, now get even more errors, including in some of the hal .h files.It seems that the code associated with AN3969 is only half the solution. Please could someone offer some guidance?

Do the SPI interface need an entry in the SCMI file, as what I2C requires to work ?if yes, So far could not find the exact entry for SPI2. According to the SCMI wiki not, but you never now. (:-))

I am trying to get 12V at the output of STKNX buck converter, but I am not getting it and the STKNX dead.The RFB1 that I am using is 33K Ohm and the RFB2 is 3k Ohm, with these resistors the Vout would be 1 + 33k/3k = 12V. The maximum value of this voltage, that I got, was 9.46V while I was using RFB2 as 3.9k Ohm and if I use 3.24K (Vout = 1 + 33k/3.24k = 11.18V) the STKNX dead.Does anyone know where the problem would be? I saw in the datasheet that the STKNX buck output could be up to 12V. Do the resistors have any limit value?

Hi,I'm looking into using the STM32WB55 device for a custom radio solution.From what I gather this same question was asked and answered here: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/is-it-possible-to-flash-a-custom-application-to-cpu2-m0/m-p/288448Since the post is 4 years old I just want to make sure this is still relevant and that its not possible to make custom binaries for the M0 coprocessor due to encryption key managed by ST?BrJohan
