Solved

Hello, I'm new to STM32CubeIDE so I need you not to go too hard with explanations :).  In these weeks I'm working on a project that uses ethernet based on the NUCLEO F767ZI board using the LWIP library. After consulting the PDFs available on the F767ZI board page and following various videos on YouTube, I managed to get the project working. For weeks it worked perfectly, I loaded various HTML / CSS and JS projects and everything worked fine. Last night I tried to use FreeRTOS with my project, since I need to create an AJAX WebServer (I have to create a dashboard that loads data into various fields and tables) and I know that it is recommended to use an RTOS because of the multi-threading features (not only the MCU must run the web server but it must also request information from other devices via LoRa communication, so multi-threading could help a lot). I should point out that before experimenting with RTOS I saved the working project (the one without RTOS) and c

I can open, regenerate, build and flash B-U585I-IOT02A -> Ux_Device_HID example successfully. But when I try disable USBPD (we don't have usbpd on our board. just the D+ and D- pins) and regenerate the project, so many many unrelated files are being removed or added from the project and it becomes very hard to compile it and use it. Is there any example for stm32u585 without USBPD?

I realize there's no footprint-compatible replacement for the LSM330DLC. Is the ISM330DLC a functional replacement? Will our software team have to make changes to our software if we swap from the LSM330DLC to the ISM330DLC? Is there a migration guide for making this change? Is there a different STMicro part that would be a more suitable replacement for the LSM330DLC?

Hello board. I am attempting to implement an STM32F0 to receive data from a GPS module, a NEO-6M in this case, and then transmit it to an external LoRa module. I am attempting to implement this by initializing a ring buffer and inserting information one character at a time via a UART global interrupt (code below). To keep the ISR short, I set a flag and disable the ISR at the end of the call to allow the main function to process the data.I then store the newly stored element in the ring buffer to a different "packet_buffer" in order to allow me to check if the NMEA sentence is correct, which I check for utilizing the minmea library from GitHub.  Here is the issue: Utilizing the current program, I'm--at best--able to get one correct transmission out to an external UART logger (which I'm using to debug the program). In most cases, however, I'm simply getting a "Bad Data" message, which tells me that the data I'm receiving into the buffer isn't high quality, or even passable

I have a sensor (SPI slave) that follows this process:Master sends configurationMaster sends start commandEvery millisecond (or according to configuration):The slave signals that data is ready by pulling a pin lowThe master pulls CS lowThe master sends a clock signal and reads the MISO line while the slave transfers data (in my case, 11 bytes)The master pulls CS highI've been able to configure the LPBAM to follow this basic process without too many issues. I set up a queue in the LPBAM tool in STM32CubeIDE with a single circular SPI receive data node without any trigger. The SPI device itself is set with a trigger on EXTI4, which I've connected to the data ready pin of the sensor. However where this falls apart is collecting the read data in RAM. I want to put the sensor readings in a circular buffer or something similar and only wake the CPU when the buffer is full but I can't figure out how to make it work. If I set the "Number of Data" on the SPI receive data node, the clock sig

I am encoding a 200x300 image using the JPEG codec available in the STM32H743. The input format is ARGB8888, with the input buffer having a size of 240000 bytes (200*300*4). As I do not know what the output size of the JPEG codec will be , I have allocated also a 240000 byte output buffer. The quality is set to 100, but I found the issue to occurr with other quality settings as well.My problem is that when using the JPEG accelerator using the CPU to feed and retrieve data, the output size of the JPEG image (i.e., the size from the beginning of the output buffer to the last non-null byte) is 19116, both for optimization levels -O0 and -O3, which is ok. When using JPEG codec using DMA, more specifically using the HAL_JPEG_Encode_DMA HAL function, and setting the optimization level to -O0, the output size is 25796. I do not understand the difference in size to the CPU fed alternative, but apart from that, this size also seems to be ok. When using DMA and -O3 however, the output size becom

Hi!I have a custom board with custom device tree. As far as I can say, it works (boot over emmc) but the kernel gives a trace at the start. I’m working on a project with the STM32MP157F-DK2 Discovery kit, I’m exploring the possibility of integrating GSM for internet access.Has anyone successfully implemented GSM connectivity on the STM32MP157F-DK2? If so, could you share your experience, including the hardware setup, GSM module used, and any software configurations or drivers required?I’d appreciate any insights or guidance on how to proceed.

Dear team,I am using a STM32G474 in my application. I've generated a PWM in the HRTIM TIMER E that is active low (necessary for the requirements of the modulation). I want to insert a dead band between this signal and its complementary (Output 2). The problem when using this functionsLL_HRTIM_DT_SetRisingValue(HRTIM1, LL_HRTIM_TIMER_F, value_to_set_hv);LL_HRTIM_DT_SetFallingValue(HRTIM1, LL_HRTIM_TIMER_A, value_to_set_hv);is that the dead band increase the duty of the signal, so no dead band is inserted, in fact, during this time, the 2 pwm are active (view image). What can i do to solve this problem? I know that one solution is to change the actual pwm output 2 to output 1 and set it to active high, but i rather prefer to avoid this. And i want to only control output 1, i do not want independent signals. Thanks,

Hello, ST community, I am having trouble installing a Batch file from the STSW-LINK009 Software ZIP file. I am on a Macbook Pro M2, running Parallels Windows 11. When I try to download the "stlink_winusb_install" batch file I get a pop-up saying that I need to use the 64-bit version of the "DPlnst.exe" on my machine. An installation Wizard should start running but I get that pop-up instead. I will provide a screenshot of what I see.  I don't understand what that means and don't know what my next step should be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

There was a post about this before, but the issue appeared to be happening for that individual only in a custom container, for me it has appeared on multiple screens. In the example below, I've typed "1. Toggle Pump On/Off' and the text appears in the designer as "Toggle Pump On/Off .1", moving the 1. to the end and changing it's order. I'm running TouchGFX Designer 4.24.0This is static text, no wild cards. There is only a single specified language (English).Whether the Text ID is auto-generated or not has no impact. If you inspect the text.xml file generated to hold the text, it appears as entered, not as rendered. If I build this in Visual Studio targeting the simulator the text is re-arranged as it appears when rendered in the designer.See the screen cap below.I have observed several circumstances under which this happens/does not happen:Removing the "." after the 1 has no effect. (Text still re-arranged)Adding additional leading numbers has no effect, nor does leading spaces.Addi

Hi all,i'm trying to run the DDR_Init project as my first project on STM32MP135F-DK board.I loaded the project on CDT Eclipse IDE and added some configurations: the build is ok.I report the main.c compiler command line as example:Building file: C:/Progetti/dbTechnologies/testSTM32/DDR/Projects/STM32MP135C-DK/Examples/DDR/DDR_Init/Src/main.c Invoking: GNU Arm Cross C Compiler arm-none-eabi-gcc -mcpu=cortex-a7 -mthumb -mfloat-abi=hard -mfpu=vfpv4-d16 -Og -ffunction-sections -fstack-usage -g3 -DCORE_CA7 -DUSE_STM32MP13XX_DK -DSTM32MP135Fxx -DDDR_TYPE_DDR3_4Gb -I"C:\Progetti\dbTechnologies\testSTM32\DDR\Drivers\CMSIS\Device\ST\STM32MP13xx\Include" -I"C:\Progetti\dbTechnologies\testSTM32\DDR\Drivers\CMSIS\Core_A\Include" -I"C:\Progetti\dbTechnologies\testSTM32\DDR\Drivers\BSP\STM32MP13xx_DISCO" -I"C:\Progetti\dbTechnologies\testSTM32\DDR\Projects\STM32MP135C-DK\Examples\DDR\DDR_Init\Inc" -I"C:\Progetti\dbTechnologies\testSTM32\DDR\Drivers\STM32MP13xx_HAL_Driver\Inc" -std=gnu11 -MMD -MP -MF"

Hi everyone, Actually, the subject line describes my problem completely. I tried to improve my IOC file yesterday with debugging, checked it again this morning, and it was working perfectly. But now, after an update or something similar, it suddenly won't open anymore; it’s just white. When I try to restore it with the main.c file, it doesn't work either, or it is empty. When opened as a text file, you can see something, so it’s not actually empty. I am using a STM32F72IEK6 µC at NUCLEO-G474RE board. Here is also the .ioc file

Hi,I need to program an STM32WB from a Raspberry Pi from the command line, preferably Python. I have got it up and running with my STM32FG0 but having no luck with the WB. From my understanding I need to:Program BLE Stack using FUS (Not sure how to do this using OpenOCD)Erase Application Coprocessor (Are there any specific flash banks or addresses I need to be aware of?)Program Bootloader (Should be simple)Program Application (Ideally I can do this Over The Air using the RPi's BLE but will settle for using OpenOCD if that isn't possible)I have tried using the STM32CubeProgrammer but that doesn't run on the Raspberry Pi. Any help or advice on the above would really help! Thanks,

Hi,I need to use <string> (standard in C++ libraries and am working in a C++ project. My header file is a normal .h, and on compiling I get the below. Oddly, if I select string in the header and view declaration, the standard file opens up just fine?Any ideas people?

Hello,I would like to run a ML model which I had created using tflite on the STM32H7 series. I have installed x-cube-ai 8.1. Are there any tutorials or manuals where I can understand the functions to be used. There are a few videos but those are the old ones and I am getting errors while using those functions / modules. Can anyone please help me with this?-RegardsHrishikesh

Even The end device is not detected as an activity. But the Controller is sending the dummy data. joined failed message is visible on terminal through Com port. What can be the issue? why the device is not seen by the network server? Even on Loriot Gateway

Dear Support, Please advise the difference between part numbers STL23NM60ND1311 and STL23NM60ND. Verify their interchangeability as well. Can be replacements for each other. Thanks

Im struggling with USB Device RNDIS example . Works fine on Windows PC, but no network interface appears on Linux, it listed in lsusb output.I cant find any topics related to that issue

Hi,I just try to get a NUCLEO-WB09KE board running.Unfortunately CubeMX (6.12.0) generates HAL files with a pattern of stm32wb0x_hal...,h but the include paths are stm32wb00x_hal (one more zero!)...Also in CubeIDE EXTI_HandleTypeDef is not found when compiling.Best regards,Achim

I am using NUCLEO-F756ZG. I intend to use two of the ADCs but in different conditions. ADC1 is configured for DMA and triggered by TIM1 to run at high speed (1 Msps), ADC2 is configured for interrupt mode and triggered by TIM8 to run at low speed (1~20 sps).I have two questions. 1. I want to use different callbacks for the two ADCs. I know about HAL_ADC_RegisterCallback function. Should I be using them right after MX_ADCx_Init call or modify the MX_ADCx_Init to register the callbacks during init? 2. Looking at CubeMX generated IRQHandler, and since ADC interrupt is global for all 3 ADCs, it seems that interrupt will be called after each sampling of ADC1 too. How should I modify it so that ADC1 doesn't call interrupt and only ADC2 does. I only need to process ADC1 data after full DMA transfer completes. Should I leave an empty callback for ADC1 and move the intended routine to DMA_xferCpltCallback? Thanks for your time. Due to situations, I am stuck with using HAL and can

Hi,I am working with the X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 board and would like to use its mailbox functionality. So far, I have been using the example provided by ST, where the mailbox is used to write and read data using the same device.I have extended this example and successfully managed to read the mailbox content sent using the NFC Tools application. Now, I would like to take it a step further and write data to the mailbox of other NFC devices using my NFC04A1.Could someone explain to me how I can do this? How can I configure my program to write data directly to the mailbox of another NFC device using the NFC04A1?Thank you in advance for your help! Here is the main function of the program: void MX_NFC4_MAILBOX_Init(void) { /* Init of the Leds on X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 board */ NFC04A1_LED_Init(GREEN_LED); NFC04A1_LED_Init(BLUE_LED); NFC04A1_LED_Init(YELLOW_LED); NFC04A1_LED_On( GREEN_LED ); HAL_Delay( 300 ); NFC04A1_LED_On( BLUE_LED ); HAL_Delay( 300 ); NFC04A1_LED_On( YELLOW_LED ); HAL_

Dear, I am trying to run the CAN Communication in STM32F407 discovery board, In CAN_INIT I have made controller state to Ready after that I have changed the controller state from ready to LISTENING in CAN_START function,   but when I am trying to execute Can_Write controller state is going back to RESET mode ,,,what could be the reason behind this and how to recover from this? Hello,I tried to set a capture/compare register to a value beyond that of the auto-reload register, and the timer I used (TIM8) behaved as if the value had not been written. Reading back gives the expected value though. I haven't dug more but I'm curious : is there some undocumented behavior that prevents the shadow capture/compare register from having the value of the preload register if that value is higher than the auto-reload register ?Please don't ask why I would do such a thing, that's just not the point.Thanks.
